[Clare inability to glean information from Lancer would have been understandable--as their intentions were so far apart from one another that an axis met between them would take hundreds of years to be found. That's too depressing a question! Count your blessings and don't question them--it's too sad to ask 'Why would it matter?' rather than 'Who should I thank?'!

[ Is this some sort of a joke? Because Clare is just Not Getting It. That does manage to get a slow blink from her as she's tempted to turn on a heel and walk away. Once more she's a little leery about turning her back on someone with a weird aura. ]
