I have no idea. I know there's a group here that were split up and they all seem to be friends. A couple groups, actually. So... who knows?

[ she presses her mouth shut then, trying to figure out if this is one of those times she should be honest or just not ta- ]

I don't like being split up from you. At all.

[Well. That was... new. He rubbed at the back of his head again, trying to figure out how he was going to handle this.]

Look, maybe... I don't know. You need to find somewhere safe to be. Away from Peter. I don't know how long I'm going to be gone, but when I get back...

[ she's so damn confident about this! but she's not confident about that second part. ]

I might not be good at it. Most of the time I can't even make sense of how I feel when I'm feeling it, or why I feel that way, or what it is about we we're doing that makes me feel those things, let alone trying to- explain it. But I can try.

[He nods, head leaning back against the side of the boat and trying not to look green.]

Good. Can you... I don't know, maybe go meet up with Lydia? You guys can keep an eye on each other until I get back. She's... not happy that Allison left.

Which means I know things that he doesn't yet. Things he might want to know. He won't hurt me.

I would have met up with her already if I knew where to find her, and how to get there. [ a beat ] Why are you on a boat? [ another! ] How are you a wizard?

Um, she's at Caer Glaem. If you're at the Station, there should be a fairy ring that can take you close enough that you're not having to take two weeks to get there. And I'm on a boat with my new friends that are jedi knights to go to a dwarf city for... You know. I don't really know what for. Metal working or something.

Doesn't matter why. They needed me to come, so I came.

[Hey, if she knew him at all, she'd know that made sense.]

I can, but... seasick. Me and boats are not a good mix. I haven't stopped throwing up since I set foot on this stupid thing. And it's been days.

[ she frowns, and it's only the grossed out kind for a second before it's the sympathetic kind ]

I don't think I'd do good on water, either. [ w e l l ] All that rocking and dipping. Like when you take a waterbottle and tip it from side to side, and the water just- [ yes she's actually mimicking the motion, like this couldn't possibly make his predicament worse ] Yeah, I'd definitely get sick.

You should drink some flat soda.

[Yep, he had to turn away from the locket for a minute, hand over his mouth as he closed his eyes and willed himself not to throw up.]

They don't have soda here, Malia. Not outside the Station. Nothing like phones or cars or anything tech.

So then I'll bring you some from the Station. Whenever you get back. [ there that works. like it'll still help, after the fact ] But this locket is like a phone, right? The closest thing to a phone?

This place is weird.

Yeah, pretty much. And unless you lock it, everyone can see it. Like now. Peter can get a peek at this, if he wants.

No argument from me. But... this place has dragons, too. So, you know. There's that.

Why would Peter pay any attention to our conversation?

Dragons? What, just flying around? [ ... ] I'm guessing they're not that much of a threat if people are just walking around outside like this.

Because Peter's a nosy jerk.

[And you're his baby girl and now Stiles has his hands all over you. Metaphorically speaking...]

Ah, no. Well, I mean, there's dragons here, but I haven't seen them just flying around all the time like birds. They're not like... everywhere.

[ferally]

True. But. [ hm. ] Well, okay fine. How do I make this private, for just you and me?

But you have seen one before? I mean, you know for a fact that they're here? [ that shit is scary okay. well, cool, but mostly scary. pretty sure dragons eat people!! or could, if it wanted to!! ]

I've seen five. One big one, three baby ones, and one that died outside the castle.

So, okay. The one big one is probably huge and scary, but I'm sure the babies can't be worse than a berserker.
