For them I'd hope, but I can't be sure. [There is no telling what the hell will go down if he's taken out of the picture. He likes to think nothing, yet he also likes to think he was more useful than that.] I doubt this place is any better.

[he chuckles darkly, the sound carrying no real humor in it. yes, this place and its conflicts certainly reminded him of the politics Yevon was steeped in.]

There's not much we can do about being here, but I'm as much of a fan of politics as I am of parties.

It's a common sentiment.

[he doesn't bow or extend his hand for a shake or. really give any indication that he cares very much about the introduction. but his tone is even and he's actually given his name, which for Auron is about as good as anyone could expect from him.]

[He doesn't take any of it as a jab. He wasn't planning to offer his hand either much less bow.] Geralt.

[For a moment, he pauses thoughtfully. He doesn't know Auron very well, but he thinks they may be on similar pages.] I'll let you know if I learn anything.

I'll try to do the same...if they don't arrest me first.

[a twist of humor, and perhaps a grain of truth. Auron's naturally private, but there aren't the same politics in play here, nothing quite so tightly personal to the information he might come across. there's no reason to keep any of it to himself - after all, not everyone has the luxury of being able to wait this conflict out before they return home.]
