smithwork: on your black list ✈ (forgot what landed me)

[personal profile] smithwork 2014-09-12 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't you have winter weather to be spreading around?

[ Or anything better to do? ]
winterwork: (₇₁)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-09-12 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow! Someone is so grateful. I'm admiring this high level of appreciation.

[Tsk tsk. He brings up a hand to conjure up some flakes that he blows over in his direction.]
smithwork: i'm the fire in your eyes ✈ (i'm the night sky)

[personal profile] smithwork 2014-09-12 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I mean ... [ Blech! Stop that. ] Aren't you the only guy that brings the frost? There's no one else saddled with that job, I don't want to mess up your schedule or anything.
winterwork: (₁₉)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-09-12 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Right, because having my eyes open while I fly through the sky to keep a look out for a large dragon is going to result in the biggest snow drought of the century.

[It's called multitasking. He's very much capable of it.]
smithwork: you can step on my feet ✈ (let me lead)

[personal profile] smithwork 2014-09-13 09:08 am (UTC)(link)
[ This face, Jack. ]

I'm just saying, it could take a while.
winterwork: (₅₆)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-09-15 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
That's fine. Time is something I'm ... realizing I have a lot of. [Something you catch on when over a decade passes by and you're still a bit of a teenager.]

It's not a big deal, dragon boy. [Boop to the nose with a staff!]
smithwork: what a feeling ✈ (and i'm off into the clouds)

[personal profile] smithwork 2014-09-15 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Owww. Have a flick to your own nose, sir. ]

Okay, well. I appreciate it. In the meantime, shall we get something to eat? I haven't eaten since before ... I came here. Yikes.
winterwork: (₆₇)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-09-15 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
[Did he just ... get flicked??? No one's ever touched him, much less flicked him before, this is a brand new experience. Much shock, such surprise.

He rubs his nose, trying to get over that unexpected action.]
What do you mean you haven't eaten since you came here? I thought you were human.
Edited 2014-09-15 20:43 (UTC)
smithwork: i feel it in my soul ✈ (i hear it calling outside my window)

[personal profile] smithwork 2014-09-15 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I've not had a real meal in a while, the last one I tried didn't count. [ He gives a small chuckle, eyes crinkling. ] My, uh, mom can't cook.
winterwork: (₁₃)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-09-15 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
All the more reason to run quick to the food as soon as you got here. But no, someone thought he'd catch up on his reading instead.

[If it was a natural habit before, his teasing instincts are even stronger than ever.]
smithwork: in flames ✈ (out of revenge)

[personal profile] smithwork 2014-09-15 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, Vikings are hardier than you'd think. Some of the men in my village can survive a week without nothing more than stale bread and regurgitated fish from their dragons.

[ Hardy as fuq, son. ]
winterwork: (₅₃)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-09-15 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Please tell me you did not actually eat regurgitated fish.

[Because that's not tough, that's completely disgusting.]
smithwork: to your long list of traitors ✈ (add my name)

[personal profile] smithwork 2014-09-15 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
A couple of times, under pressing circumstances.

[ It really is disgusting, yes, he does not condone it. But it's impressive! ]
winterwork: (₈₈)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-09-15 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[He breaks out into a hearty laugh, because it actually is really impressive as gross as it is.]

Wow, Hiccup, you are a much crazier kid than I originally thought. I give you fifty points for the fish. Bravo. You've earned it.
smithwork: our dear ocean town ✈ (i'll see you around)

[personal profile] smithwork 2014-09-15 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, Toothless is the one you should be congratulating, he got me to eat a bite the first time we properly sat down together.

[ Haha, terrifying Night Fury frand. ]
winterwork: (₃₆)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-09-15 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Regurgitated from a dragon, no less. [Yeah, you're really not human, Hiccup.]

I'll make sure to never cast judgement again. You may be composed of ultra scrawniness, but you're the toughest of the tough, aren't you?

[He's totally serious even if he's, you know, just laughing. A lot.]
smithwork: because you'll be running in place ✈ (don't be something you're not)

[personal profile] smithwork 2014-09-15 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh. Yeah, guess so ...

[ Hooking his thumbs in the back of one of his belts, Hiccup lets his gaze slide to the floor and lapses into a thoughtful silence for a few beats. I knew someone tougher.

He gestures to the corridors ahead after noticing the direction they're walking in. ]

We should try the Great Hall, see if there's anything going in there.
winterwork: (₆₂)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-09-15 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds like a plan. Race you?

[Because he's already gripping his staff tighter as the wind flows in from the open windows, lifting him up off his feet. Shifting on his back horizontally in the air, he begins to glide backwards ahead down the corridors with a laugh, though remaining at a slow enough speed to allow Hiccup to keep up.]
smithwork: upend me ✈ (but don't think you'll)

[personal profile] smithwork 2014-09-15 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Race me, sure. I'll just be the one leaving you eating my dust, don't stop to try and figure out where I came from.

[ He does pick up his pace a little, though only to a walking-jog combo. ]

You keep on flying like that, I wouldn't want you saying you didn't have every advantage later when I win.
winterwork: (₈₁)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-09-16 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
[Jack's cruel, but he isn't so cruel that he'll leave Hiccup behind. Even if he still does blow a few flakes back at the one-legged jogger in amusement.]

Wow, Hiccup, you're so fast, you've already made one lap all around and back, huh? I'm so thoroughly impressed. Maybe I should just give up now.
smithwork: to your long list of traitors ✈ (add my name)

[personal profile] smithwork 2014-09-16 01:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Oooh, I see where you're going with this. Jest not, my friend, there's enough power behind this one foot to launch me straight past your smug nose if I wanted.

[ This place is so warm and he's wearing leathers and jogging, fuckfuckfuck. The snowflakes are, therefore, greedily rubbed on his face and neck.

Disjointedly, he grouses, ]
The heat's terrible, can't you do something about that?
winterwork: (₆₃)

[personal profile] winterwork 2014-09-16 04:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[Hiccup's determination is admirable at the least. It's certainly keeping him constantly entertained.]

Heat? You poor kid, you aren't being slowed down now, are you? It'd be a shame for you to lose after all that bragging.

[With a laugh, he waves his staff to tap at the walls on either side of them, letting frost curl up in swirls along the surface in heavy layers, bringing a cool rush of air through the corridor.]
smithwork: we touch infinity ✈ (in the blink of an eye)

[personal profile] smithwork 2014-09-21 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow.

[ Touching the curling frost on the walls as they walk, he sends Jack an impressed look. Never mind the fake race. ]

How old are you? Have you been doing this forever?
