[don't worry, sheriff, jordan is just concerned for your well-being.]

Really? To tell you the truth, I'm eating to get my thoughts back together, even though I have no idea what's in here, [he points to the food with his fork] it's still food. The protein is what matters.

[So is Stiles. Really, it's a problem.]

Well, Stiles was at school... or at least I thought he was. Seemed like a good time to eat something I wanted without him trying to screw up my order.

Kind of glad I did now. I'm not too sure how I feel about eating food provided by fairies. [He's still kind of suspicious of it even if Parrish seems to be proving it's okay.]

[jordan raises his brows, but doesn't say anything on the matter. it's none of his business what the sheriff eats.]

I've been watching people eat and drink for a while, I think it's okay.

[but he's not 100% sure, either. eating the food could have some long-standing affect that no one knows about.

but he would rather not think about that.]

[Yeah, that last comment probably wasn't helpful to say to someone who was eating. Whoops.]

I'm sure it's fine. [Stiles would have warned him if it wasn't.] It's just not exactly something I'm used to.

Is this something anyone is used to?

[besides, well-- most of beacon hills save for himself and the rest of the kids who knew about it. he's sure that this was a surprise when they first arrived, too.]

Well... someone probably is.

[In fact it's starting to feel like he's the only one who isn't far too much of late.]

[jordan is honestly happy he's sitting down as he speaks to the sheriff. he's stopped eating again, instead turning all of his attention to the sheriff.]

Anyone we know?

[besides the kids. but even then, jordan isn't sure anyone can really get used to what happens in beacon hills, let alone here.]

I don't think so.

[Even the kids aren't used to fairies from what he's gathered from talking to Stiles. Or at least they weren't before they came here. He seems like he's been adapting to the situation fairly easily.] Maybe Stiles. He seems to be fitting in pretty well.

[that seems to perk jordan up a bit-- he likes knowing people are okay.]

That's good. For what it's worth, anyway.

[He raises his eyebrows. He's glad Stiles is doing okay, of course, but after his conversation with him he thinks it's possible he's settled in a little too well.]

I wouldn't be so sure. He can also throw fire now.

[excuse him sheriff jordan needs a few moments to process that information. for a second, he doesn't even think he heard the sheriff right, until he just doesn't say anything else.]
