Ryan. [Two could play the name game.

She keeps her tongue in check, knowing she's a small fish in a big pond. She needs all the help she can get to climb to the top. She gets that there's a war going, but wasn't there, like, always a war happening? That never stopped their music before.]

People need a break from the ridiculous amounts of depressing that seems to be going on around here. Who better to do that than us?

[She gives a small tilt to her head, looking around.]

I'm in the Unseelie Court. [SCOFF.] I so shouldn't be here. It's totally unfair. Where are you?

[choreographics]

[It's a good point. It's a very good point, wars and other people's drama had never stopped their music before and maybe he just forgot that while being isolated from everyone who understood such things. Someone had once said that perhaps he was brought to this world to serve as a reminder of optimism and entertainment.

And…well. Yeah. Yeah, who better to do it than the twins who've grown up on stage their whole lives? When he responds, he at least sounds more enthused about the idea.

But like hell he's going to say "you're right."]

Well. We have always said that the theatre needs fans.

[But no. Noooo no no, any sense of security he might have just felt suddenly disappears in an instance and he's actually frozen on his end of the locket-call. He doesn't say anything for a long moment while he processes that.

Why was Sharpay in Unseelie Court? Okay, sure, it was kind of ridiculous to assume that they'd be going to Juilliard together just because they were twins but this is a little much.

I'm at the Station. [Let's just casually nope the hell out of court alliance discussions right now.] It's pretty far from the courts though. It still took us three days just to get here by sky bison.

[It's okay Ryan, no need to say what she already knows even if it's nice to hear. And yes, the theatre always needs fans - no matter where they were.

She waits for him to tell her where he is, foot tapping impatiently... But that mode of transportation? Noooope, we're gonna focus on that for a little bit.]

[So much wincing. So much. But he's used to Sharpay's shrieking so he just sort of waits. There's an amused tinge to his tone though when he responds.]

Do you want me to answer that, or do you want to see for yourself?

[DUH.]

I so want to see this thing... But I thought you said you were like two or three days away?

[Because this is definitely something she wants to see in person.]

By sky bison. And about three weeks away by horse. And I don't even know how many days by fairy ring. [That is to say that your brother is probably as far away as possible at the moment.

Nevertheless though the video function of the locket turns on and Sharpay's going to be greeted with a massive amount of white fur in the picture. Ryan's out of the frame holding the locket, but it's obvious he's talking to the bison.] Appa...c'mon, stop ignoring me. Turn...good boy.

[And yeah. There is now also a camera-full of bison-face.]

This is about as good as it's gonna get right now.

[It's weird being this far apart. Sure it was kind of expected with the whole college thing, although let's be real... She'd been planning on going to the same school as him. But plans changed, and life was life. Although this was ridiculous.

Any coherent thought she might have had goes out the window at the sight of the sky bison.]

Oh. My. God.

[She does her best not to squeal, although it's hard. Very hard. It's also been decided. She wants one. She wants one now, her mind already trying to figure out how to make it happen.]

His name is Appa?

[Weird and unpleasant. At least back in their world Sharpay was always just a phone call away and she wasn't too mad about him achieving their dream without her. Life was life and they couldn't change it.

However...he's not sure how she'd react to knowing they're on opposite sides now. It's best not to mention it. Instead, he grins even if she can't see it and Appa's just staring and probably wondering why, exactly, Ryan's holding his locket in his face. Instead the sky bison just yawns widely, showing his teeth briefly.]

Yup. That's what Korra calls him anyway. The fairies brought him to her when she asked. […Shar please don't ask the fairies (…well, imps in her case) for a bison that's the last thing they need.] He's a lot bigger in person than you think but I think he's gotten used to me. [In fact, the camera's moving to show her the saddle on Appa's back, too.]

Not quite first class, but it works.
