Maglor would hardly call it redemption - what are two lives weighted against all those he has killed? But his eyes are gentle and a little fond as he looks at her, who in another world, another time, might have been his granddaughter.

"And who is your beloved then, silmë?"

"Ah" he murmurs softly. "I remember Celebrian saying so - that she had to sail. It is good that you have this chance."

She does not attempt to mute the smile at the thought of her love, the nickname adding a small sparkle to her eyes.

"Aragorn, son of Arathorn." A man, she adds silently. She does not put to words the weight that is attached to her choice paired with the knowledge of her mother's departure. The glimmer fades slightly, though she would not change her decision if made to choose again a thousand times over.

She makes Luthien's choice? asks Curufin softly, and Maglor fancies he sounds a little sad.

"You may resemble more than one ancestor, it seems"
