Legolas truly did not say? I would have thought he would bring it up... But that is the only way the natives may use the rings - a shard ... taken from the heart of a shard-bearer. The boon-ring I was granted allows me to take one with me, but only by moonlight and to a place I have been, rendering it... impractical for such things.
