I'm still not set on where I want to take him from. I'm leaning towards early S4 before he hooked up with Elena.

tbh, the only thing i remember from s4 is 4.18 and 4.20 because they were kalijah episodes. i don't even remember when delena hooked up! don't ask me if i'm joking as raos/elijah can legit be my reference and say i don't remember shit about this show outside of s1-3 and with good reason i say.

i haven't seen s5 outside of katherine scenes on youtube so i am no help there wrt canon points.

just have really good hair, damon. and stay faaaaar away from katherine, she has no fish in her fish tank yet.

I've talked to Raos about not spoiling Katherine on her death, so regardless of his canon point/or possible update, I won't have him be tossing that at her.

Tbh, Damon's more fun to play when he's not trying to reform for Elena. There's plenty of places to take him from where he's messed up, like when Katherine possesses Elena and dumps him. Bad-boy Damon is the best. =) And we love his hair in the beginning of S2

oh, ty. ♥ i don't know how she would even react to it but i think we were planning elijah to drop the bomb in 84 years from now since we were unhappy he never really reacts to katherine's death at all. also, no one wants her to go on a murder rampage, either. 8| I ALSO DISLIKE THAT ENTIRE STORYLINE SO MUCH. we never, ever speak of it. she just went on vacation ...

oh, cool! yeah, i would assume he's more fun since he's not a whipped puppy. i honestly only know i disliked delena once they got together, so i stopped paying attention to them and only watched s4 for caroline and katherine. I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW KATHERINE WAS THE REASON WHY DELENA BROKE UP. i didn't even know they were broken up, lmfao. you can tell i keep up really well here. but i hope you pick a canon point you like! even if it's in s5, go for it. ♥

okay, i can keep you because damon's hair gets so bad in s3. he can come over for sunday dinners with elijah and katherine now.

Yeah, I was sort of really >> about the fact that Elijah had like, NO reaction to Katherine dying and then suddenly HAYLEY and I'm just scratching my head over that.

He's cute when he's happy, don't get me wrong and I love the idea of him being with someone solidly? But just not Elena. There's like, an entire swimming pool of reasons why that's so incredibly a bad idea, and it all starts with Katherine. (YAY, KAT RUINS EVERYTHING!! =D) But yeah, when she died, her daughter and the travelers tried to get her to stay possessed in Elena's body and she basically ripped Damon's heart out again and did a little tap dance on it and he went all bad boy with Enzo, so, that was fun.

Hah, I like him with the half-shaggy look like in the bathtub (I feel those were Damon's attempt at hippydom), but he's better with it in that not quite as short as the beginning of S1 and not quite S3 shaggy.
