[ Faramir laughs a little ] I would not say that! I would much rather be home with my lady, enjoying the fruits of our labor, then fighting yet another war!

I dislike how arbritary some of these choices seem also - I saw children, at the feast! [ a sigh and he shakes his head ] But it seems this is the path fate has chosen for us, in any case.

[ Faramir had been sitting, smoking his own pipe thoughtfully and watching the crowds. The voice is familiar and brings a bright smile to his face ]

I think, Master Pippin, that if any of us knew the way out we would be long gone!

"Was there ever any doubt that we would?" She purred, using their proximity to disguise how she reached between them to palm at the front of his pants.

"Come on, my dear, the dance is picking up."

[Pippin's nose wrinkles slightly. What are you trying to say here, exactly?]

Of course we're in the Shire. I was just out for a walk. Some lovely fairies - at least, I think that's what they said they were - they kindly invited me over for this feast. But I really must be getting back home. They didn't expect me to be out past suppertime. Imagine what they'll think if I don't come home tonight at all!

[Oh Pippin, little do you know...]

[Oh Pippin. Gimli takes him by the shoulder and leads the Hobbit to the nearest window so he can see outside.

[He takes the hug in stride, although it surprises him - this all surprises him. Her appearance, her presence here, the way that she is looking at him... Remus is really not sure what to make of that look.]

And you yourself. Although, I hope I'm not stating the obvious here when I say... You're looking a fair pace older than you did when I last saw you. [What is going on here?] I mean, I've heard of children shooting up like weeds over summer holiday, but. [This is a bit more than a growth spurt.]

His breath stuttered out of him as her small, clever hand pressed against the growing swell of his prick. He took another step in, crushing her hand between their bodies, and as his arm snaked around his waist, thoroughly capturing her. Despite this, his feet quickened, stepping back in time with the music.

"Then I'm yet more pleased to make your acquaintance. You've made quite the stir along many of the major thoroughfares!" She smiled, hands linking before herself. "Was the friend you mentioned an associate during these ventures?"

"She was, yes. Grell was present during the battle at Mair, with her chainsaw, and fought well at Redgate. If you were at the Samhain festivities, she wore a fine, black dress and a matching mask." Harry is fairly sure that his description ought to narrow down just which of the shardbearers he's talking about.

"I can't really imagine what I'd be doing to cause a stir. Fixing windows and squeaky doors isn't exactly revolutionary, but it'll do for now."

"Hidden society, huh?" Aeler replied, mulling the thought over. It was a strange thought, but it seemed to work, mostly since Harry was mentioning the presence of this society, and not its downfall. He supposed there were stranger things that had happened.

He barked a laugh at the last part. "Bit of a fucking surprise I bet."

[hercruelhand]

Her hand slithered from between them to around him, but it was clear from her expression that his boldness delighted her. She pressed herself close, her other hand finding his, taking the lead of the fast-paced dance for herself.

Harry's own laugh is a short, sharp noise that mirrors Aeler's. "You could say that."

"For the first few weeks, I was sure it was a terrible joke being played on me, but one that I was ready to take full advantage of. I honestly think I must've eaten my own weight several times over just in case I had to go back." He looks out over the feast and his expression softens again as he recalls the Great Hall. "I think everyone else there, all those raised by wizards, they must've thought I was half-bear, readying to hibernate."

[Pippin steps closer so that they might manage a more intimate conversation. Elvenking or no (even if Pippin doesn't know that part yet), hobbits aren't usually all that much for formalities. Their worlds are much simpler - you're either a friend or you aren't one. And if you are then you are a friend indeed.

At the question, he shakes his head.] No, my lord. I was...

[Wow, here's the part where he's kind of ashamed about having to admit to not having listened before at all.] There was a feast prepared, and I was awfully hungry. I was out for a walk all day and hadn't had anything but a bit of cheese since at least noontime. [That's a terribly awful long time for a growing hobbit, mind. Needless to say, he had been fairly...preoccupied.]

Aeler's smile matched Mul's sharp and glinting in the darkness. "I'll expect it." He murmured back, "And I'll be waiting."

[metalbends]

[ her expression turns at the change in tone in his voice, and she pushes herself off the wall. ]

I don't remember what? [ she didn't like the way he said that. she really didn't like it. ]

It rather does. [ A wry resigned sort of smile and shrug 'what can you do?' ]

I would have preferred she left him in peace, in honesty, especially if she was only going to cast him out, although I am grateful to have him back.

[ A tip of his head, just this side of formal ]

Maglor of the House of Feanor - although that name means nothing to you, doubtless! Maglor is good enough. I would say 'well met', but this is not exactly a good meeting eh?

[ as he always is after dredging up those memories Maglor's voice is flat and controlled, his eyes empty and despairing, the light in them flickering low until he can control himself again ]

Nothing that I did not bring on myself. [ a shaky breath and he manages to pull himself together enough to smile a little ]

[When he first sees Pippin there, overhearing his question, Bilbo doubts at first that there is really another Hobbit here. It's been so long since he's been around his own race, even here, that it feels almost silly to think he'll ever see another Hobbit until he returns to the Shire. One glance to his feet confirms his suspicions quickly enough.]

[ he frees a hand, lifting it to rub the heel of his palm over his eyes, laughing a little shakily. ]

I'm sorry, I can't help it. Loki calls me a weepy princess. [ he huffs, shaking his head. ] Though Loki teases me a lot about everything, really.

[ a careful breath, making certain he's calm, before glancing back up, expression soft and a little wistful. ]

You ought to stay here, then, you know. I mean, it would be a good way to start over.

Really? She's not sure how to take that now.

Not yet, as far as I can tell. I missed you at the feast when I arrived, so I can only assume that you are a part of the other court.

[To say she's surprised would be...an over-exaggeration, but she is severely disappointed that they seem to be separated again, after finding one another.]

It's nice to see you...[Not as a huge chunk of flash-frozen metal.]...so like yourself. Lando helped the rest of us make our escape. Luke included. [Despite what he'd like others to think, Han is smart. He'll catch her meaning.]

[ toph knows opal is there when she touches down, but she doesn't stop practicing just yet - even granddaughters have to wait for earthbending. not that...toph really thinks of opal as her granddaughter. nope. no. she's more than happy to just tiptoe around everything associated with that fact for now. hey, there are reasons she's been throwing herself extra hard into her practice lately.

Indeed there was very little kindness in his greeting with her, because it was no secret that Ganondorf had no great love of the brothels and gambling houses in Mair. But nor had he caused any harm, aside from an increase of working soldiers who now were eager to put their consistent pay to good use.
