[ it was really, very strange - one moment she's strolling outside the gates of her kingdom and greeting each person she passed ( because that's what a good queen does ), and the next she's being stopped by a fairy. again.

again?

yes, again. this has happened to her before, she remembers it now.

which is the really, very strange part!

the fairy approaches her, starts explaining that she carries a shard, and she remembers. it takes her some time to come to terms with it, let the memories settle in again and melt from was that just a dream? into no, you remember that so vividly because it was real, but eventually she does. the fairy seems to already know that she'd been there once before, and seems relieved it doesn't have to go through the whole spiel. and although this time she tries to insist - no, please, give me just a moment to get my sister! or at least let me tell her where I'll be this time - the ring appears before her and she knows she has to go.

she doesn't have much time to take in how much has changed since she left, or to wonder how long it's been, not when she's heading into the feast and all she can focus on is how many more people are here now. it's so, so crowded. only this time she walks into the room confidently, smiling bright. she's not afraid of her power anymore, not like she was the first time she arrived her. she takes a seat at one of the tables and digs right in, engaging in conversation with the people around her, trying to figure out what she's missed, what's changed. she might still be peeking around cautiously, but it's only because she's looking for familiar faces, wondering if her Drabwurld friends were still here or if they were sent back home as well. ]

[ when Elsa's video feed tunes in, the screen is blocked for a quick moment by the swish of a fluffy white tail as a certain someone trots directly in front of where she's sitting. a tail that's quickly smoothed down and out of the way to reveal a laughing ice queen. yeah, she's happy. happy and maybe a little tiny bit embarrassed ]

So. Hello again. For those who don't know me, I'm Queen Elsa, of Arendelle. I was here for a brief stay, and have recently been brought back to help in the fight again. But I wanted to check in not just to say hello, but to ask-

Is anyone in the castle ..missing anything? Trinkets, scarves, small tokens? Siku seems to have taken it upon herself to, ah, decorate my rooms while I was away. And I have no idea where she got these things from, but- [ she reaches for the locket, turning the camera so the view is on a pile of stuff on her bed. mostly shiny things. ] - if any of this looks familiar to any of you, please let me know, and I'll have it returned to you as soon as possible. I'm really, terribly sorry to anyone she's stolen from, I honestly have no idea where she got the habit.

[ the feast might be more crowded than elsa remembers, but that doesn't stop a certain someone from spotting her snow-white hair from across the room. dignity be damned, korra immediately bolts over, reaching her arms out and tossing them around elsa's shoulders and lifting her into an excited hug ]

Elsa! You're back!!

[glacio]

Hi, Korra-

[ dignity is not a word Elsa's concerned with right now, not when her "oof!" of shock turns into a laugh, her body kind of tensing up like a shy cat until she's put down on her feet again. right! Korra. god, she didn't realize how much she missed Korra until right now. which is also strange. it's the kind of missing you feel when you have seen someone in ages, but she's only.. just remembering it? so it throws her off a bit, for a moment ]

I am, and I'm glad for it. Has it been long? I, um. I had no memory of this place until the fairies came back to reclaim me. Then it all came back at once.

[sangilak]

It's been a few months, yeah.

[ but she files away the information about forgetting because that matches with what korra remembers from going back home, even though she woke up here like nothing changed. ]

But on the up side, there's been no sign of Hans since you left!

[glacio]

That is certainly an up side.

[ her eyes are a little wide though, because a few months- that doesn't add up with the amount of time she remembers being home. and maybe now she's a little worried that since she left, Hans left. and if she's back, wouldn't that possibly mean-? no. why would- no. not going to entertain that idea. ]

Is it too optimistic of me to hope that with Hans gone, I shouldn't be worried about what went on here while I was away?

[sangilak]

[ there's a moment's pause as korra works through the events of the last few months. elsa was still here when redgate happened, so ... black shuck, samhain, evil dog spirits, feathers, shadow creatures... ]

Nope! Nothing out of the ordinary happened. [ she shrugs! ] Anything new that you remember from home?

[glacio]

[ her big sister senses are definitely tingling, but it'd probably be pretty buzzkill of her to put Korra through an "are you suuuure?" series of questions, so she won't. yet. for not. ]

No. I was only home for a few days, actually. There was a lot of ice skating and planning for another party, but that was it. [ she pauses, looking past her for a moment, but it's really just a quick glance! ] I was actually hoping they would have brought my sister along too, this time. But I don't think they have.

[sangilak]

Keep your eyes open — you never know who's gonna show up here.

[ she gives elsa a grin before glancing over her shoulder ]

You've only been back a few minutes so far, so maybe she's wandering around.

[glacio]

Maybe. [ she sounds more worried than disappointed ] I'm not sure I like the idea of her wandering alone without me. [ a beat ] Not that she isn't perfectly capable of taking care of herself. I suppose I just can't help but think of how overwhelming it was being here, what felt like, on my own. And I wouldn't want her to go through anything like that when she doesn't have to.

[ right! totally not overprotective at all! ]
