[Given his reaction, she thinks on a smaller term. She is used to those having the ability to travel through space, to make it from one world to the next. Naboo would always be home, and Padmé does enjoy returning back, but she does travel quite often, whether to Coruscant or where she was needed. It is as common place as droids and ships, neither of which she has witnessed since arriving.]

No, please, I shouldn't have assumed.

[Although that mindset will take some getting used to.

She would consider herself a diplomat first and foremost, as to her, a solution for most things could be gained through it. To jump in to a situation already hostile and with a weapon raised would not help anyone.

Yet, even she knew that at times, a more aggressive approach needed to be taken.]

Have you been here long then?

Tis no trouble. [ Faramir assures her in return ] Like yourself I have not been here long - longer than you, certainly, but they tell me I lay in enchanted sleep during that time and knew naught of what passed.

[ a shy smile ] I confess great interest in your world, where travel amongst the stars is possible!

An enchanted sleep? [A coma of some sort, perhaps?] Had you been injured?

[Whether before or after his arrival... They hadn’t been the nicest when they had persuaded Padmé to come. Aside from a few bumps and bruises though, she is fine.]

Have you spoken with many then that have the ability, or just this Solo individual?

Alas no - I recall only stepping through the ring the faeries coaxed me through before great weariness overcame me. I woke near a month later in the Seelie Castle. Why they chose that method I do not know.

[ a shrug and he shakes his head ] You are the second, although I hear tell there are others. In my world such things are fairy tales for children, or far distant history!

... you were coaxed? [Unless one called being placed in a bag and taken as being coaxed, Padmé's experience has been nothing like that. Then again, perhaps they knew coaxing would be hard? She just doesn't know.]

It has been something that my people and the people within the universe around have been doing for years beyond count. No doubt we all started out the same though, looking to the stars, and dreaming.

Or tricked, yes. They came to me when I was out patrolling our lands with my men. I had never seen the like, and followed when they begged for aid. [ a wry shrug ] I begin to think now I should not have.

If you were not, lady - I hear tell the opposing court simply takes. As I said - it seems a poor way of recruiting, either way.

[ a smile ]

Yes, I imagine so! We have tales from the elves, how the Mariner sails the skies, but he is the only one, and his Doom was appointed to him in particular.
