You say that with so much censure. You run on food batteries. Food and water and sunshine. People still kill animals to eat, last time I checked. It's called 'the food chain'. I just happen to be at the top. And if I'm in a good mood, I don't have to kill my juice box de jour.

Undead. There's a difference. Dead things don't need to breathe or have a pulse. If you broke a dead thing's neck, it wouldn't kill it. You couldn't drown something that's dead. I, on the other hand... really dislike drowning.

I'm just trying to understand. It's- confusing. Especially when you add in different worlds.

Yes. We heal, but we can be broken a bit first. Break our necks, we die. We just don't stay dead. That's part of the magic.

They might have a hard time with me ripping their head off as well. Not like I plan to make it a cakewalk for them. Unless they can find a way to remove it that doesn't involve ripping my chest open. Been there, done that.

I think you just have to die in general -- or get so close that it tricks the shard into coming out. Something like that. Not pleasant either way.

I die plenty of times. Nothing's come creeping out of my chest from it. I'm not really interested in seeing just how close to death I have to get to 'trick it'.

I think it's supposed to be like- permanently die. And in this world.

[withbite]

Yeah, I'm not lining up for testing on that one.
