my first thought was bioshock
She looks back up at Alice. Certainly an adorable bunny means that a person is a-okay to be talking to, right? No one evil or mean would have a white rabbit ever. The man who killed her mother never had a rabbit. The Pendletons never had a rabbit. No one in the Golden Cat ever had a rabbit either.] Hello.
Do you live here? Some fairies dropped me in this place, but I've never seen anything like this before. I haven't even read about it in any stories.
that's all we need is for her with a giant needle and supped up on ADAM
It gets worse and the gnawing guilt doesn't go away. Of course Alice will hover her to make sure she's safe and out of harm's way.
Maybe even advise her about not speaking to strangers. ]
No, I'm afraid I don't. Most of the folks here in the Station came in the same manner. Are you all by yourself?

Emily succumbs to the typical wiles of girls secretly (or not so secretly) infatuated with fluffy animals. Spilling to the floor completely in a gentle sit, legs bent on each side of her, she reaches out a single hand to allow the bunny to smell her first. Then when she is certain that there will be no biting and no running away, she offers the thing a fee strokes along the head and ears.
The overwhelming maternal urge to coo and coddle has been satiated.] I think so. [She sounds rather sad, eyes still downcast until she finally looks up at Alice.] Have you seen a man named Corvo? I tried to call him with the locket, but it didn't work.
I don't think he's here.

[ Alice says this with a huff while watching her rabbit lay her head down in front of her. Rabbits are strange animals, but not as weird as Alice's old cat, Dinah. Hearing this has invoked Alice's own maternal urges, wondering why on earth the monarchs plucked a little girl from her world.
Alice settles right down in front of her, not even bothering to fluff out her skirt and petticoat. How terrible this is, which is why she's letting Sophie bask in the attention she's receiving. ]
I am afraid I haven't.
[ Alice confesses to reach over to scratch between the rabbit's ears, the Outsider's mark very visible now. ]
But I've seen family members reunited here quite often. There is a large family here -- Miss Galadriel and her daughter, Miss Celebrian, alongside her cousins and their mother.

Her eyes lift from idly staring at the rabbit, and she opens her mouth, then quickly and gently double-takes at the black brand on the back of Alice's hand. It's familiar in a strange way, and she tries to place where she has seen it before. Looking at it makes her think of the sea, of the slippery and tart smell of whale oil when it burns, of two coals sitting in the snow like eyes.
Corvo. Corvo had one, too.
She doesn't even hear whatever else Alice had said.] That... [She indicates Alice's hand.] The man I'm looking for has one like that, too.

Those who were more than just average, the ones who kept him entertained by him. It had all the hallmarks of 'Faust', in a sense. The Outsider was neither a good or evil presence, Alice knew this. She knows at the very least, if anyone else had the mark in Drabwurld, Alice would hear about it from the Outsider. ]
Does he.
[ How many were there that the Outsider took a liking to? Alice gives a little pat of the rabbit's head and pulls her hand back up to flex it. ]
Well. My friend that gave this to me he would have said something. As a matter of fact, I'm sure I wouldn't hear the end of it.
[ Alice frowns even deeper. ]
But that does not mean he wouldn't come here, too.

The Outsider doesn't even cross her mind because, so far, that is only an apparition fleetingly seen in dreams. Surely the man with black eyes couldn't have anything to do with Corvo, and surely nothing at all to do with this seemingly normal girl with a pet rabbit.] If you see him, will you tell him I'm here? Corvo, the man I'm looking for.
He's very quiet, but he is nice. He looks kind of scary because of his mask, but he is just hiding his face. He wouldn't hurt you.
