In the end they were all visitors to a new world and while most are experienced in it (some better than others, Jaina thinks as she looks over her aged companion), simply keeping up with their locations took more than circling a map. The Barrel, however, was known among the shardholders for its neutrality and so those who held no interest in a war would find their way here.
Jaina? She just came for the books. Plenty on various topics in the Drabwurld and the host had been generous enough to let her borrow more than one. ]
Then who am I to deny you some? [ Gently pushing the plate towards him even if she's certain his skills in the arcane can trump hers. ]
Though if I may, the brew the keep makes is enough to ward off the cold. Should I call for a cup or two?
i did, hope everything turned out alright! that's a dagger. :(
It's a testament to how glad he is to see a familiar face, Khadgar decides, that he didn't immediately make a beeline for the bookcases upon arrival. It's nothing compared to his own personal library back home, for sure-- but this literature is new and unfamiliar, of and about a world he's never stepped foot in before now. If not for other business looming overhead, he's sure he'd be well-capable of spending weeks upon end here, methodically working his way through one tome after another until he could say he knows better about the Drabwurld than someone born and raised in it.
He suspects he's not the only one who feels the same way, which is why he's found Jaina here as well. But then, if what he's heard about the place is true, there are reasons other than the library and drinks that someone might come to the Barrel. He finally finishes chewing.]
...Well, now. Out of the frying pan and into the fire, eh? [The coldest, most miserably frigid fire he's ever known. Khadgar smiles.] Er, so to speak.
[Seriously, though. If there are two people in this room who don't need another war in which to fight, it's the two Azerothians.]
