[ Holing herself up in the library, while a somewhat practical use of her time, isn't going to get her anywhere when it comes to readying herself for whatever battles the Seelie monarchy wishes to get them involved in. And so it's several days after her arrival that she finally finds herself down in the practice yard, where there are several soldiers paired together to run drills, or to practice their skills in archery or magic.

And it's here that she stumbles across a familiar sight. She offers him a smile as she approaches. ]

You wouldn't mind a mage partner, would you, Commander?
detoxifying: (actually secretly suave)

3, more than alright! 8D

[ He returns the smile in full. Time and again, she had more than proven herself as a capable leader. And if she was here...

Then, certainly it increased their odds of success, whatever that meant in this world. ]

Hardly. Especially if that mage happens to be the Inquisitor herself.

[ It will also give him a chance to test his abilities, or rather, what did or did not remain of them. At Skyhold, it had never been among his concerns regarding Lyrium, for there were almost always other templars to run those sorts of drills with the mages, but here...

Still, it was best not to dwell upon it. Not until it was truly needed. ]

It is a relief to see a familiar face.

[ She nods, stepping away to give him room. The staff is pulled from her back and the blade is planted firmly in the ground while she gets her bearings. But her demeanor is pleasant, much more so now that she knows she isn't the only one traipsing around the castle. ]

Likewise. I had been concerned that I was the only one brought here. I thought it might make me look incredibly irresponsible if I vanished on my own.

[ Especially after all the work they'd put into their efforts in Skyhold. Nasrin leans briefly on her staff. ]

You...haven't seen anyone else, then.
detoxifying: (it has pockets too)

[ He chuckles a little at that, as he removes his shield from its clasp, preparing to enter an attack stance. ]

It has been known to happen before, though it was hardly your fault. [ And more that of a certain Darkspawn magister and what may or may not be an Archdemon. ] At least this time, it would seem that Corypheus is not to blame.

[ And just as quickly, his smile fades into a slight frown. ]

I haven't.

[ And that worried him. The last thing he could recall before this all began was the Winter Palace, and Empress Celene's impending assassination. Regardless of the explanations that were given, none of it sat well with him. ]

Walking out of the Fade wasn't exactly planned, either, but I can't say it was a pleasant circumstance, all things considered.

[ To hear him confirm that this is not Corypheus' doing is enough for her. She had assumed, had hoped...but it's good to know that someone shares her sentiment. This is an entirely new predicament, for better or worse, and she can only hope that things will improve for them in the coming days.

Being conscripted into a war, anyone's war, is unsettling enough.

Her frown matches his and she sighs, shaking her head. She casts her gaze to the ground for a moment, gathering herself, and then she looks up once more. ]

I can only hope that they are safe where they are, then, and able to hold out until we return. Cassandra and Leliana will know what to do.

[ They were far more capable leaders than she could be. They founded the Inquisition, after all. ]
