a: Feast

[Okay, so considering her life thus far perhaps this whole new magic world isn't entirely too much a stretch. That doesn't stop her fretting all the same. She's curious in spite of herself, figuring perhaps someone she knows might be at this feast so it can't hurt to try check it out. Her smaller height is likely not really going to help her in keeping track if she were to find any familiar faces though.

Searching, she finds her way to the feast and tentatively helps herself to some food. She was a little hungry, after all. And there were a lot of others here, not all of which seemed as confused and overwhelmed as she was feeling. Sakura observes, catching snippets of conversation that start to help her glean more information on this strange place. She's fought before, of course. But this seems much more serious and different than capturing Clow Cards.

She's not exactly dressed too subtly either, given she has yet to change from her outfit Tomoyo-chan made her back home.]

b: Locket.


[It's Tomoyo that is more used to the latest technology. Sakura is of course used to phones, but these lockets are a bit different. So it takes her a bit to figure it out properly, opening with a close up of her wide, green eye before pulling back more, brushing some hair behind her ear.]

Ah, um...it's working now? Hello? I'm Sakura Kinomoto. I just got here. But I was just wondering if anyone has seen Kero-chan? He's....

[Wait. Give her a second. He has two forms so. Which one to ask for? Probably both to be on the safer side, but she's still so used to attempting to hide him and her magical powers. Where here it all seems pretty normal in comparison to back home, really.]

He's either a big lion with wings....Or a little stuffed toy. He's probably hungry and wanting sweets. If anyone finds him can they please let me know? I haven't found Syaoran-kun or Tomoyo-chan either. But-but I'm sure it'll all be okay! I'll figure something out. I'd just appreciate it if someone does find them, they tell me? And I can do the same for your friends too!

[Well, given that he's dining with faeries and fantastical creatures, a grade schooler in a weird outfit doesn't strike him as that strange.

Though, it is an awfully weird outfit.

Oreki gives up and pushes a half-full plate away, anxiety over the kidnapping and all making it difficult to eat.]

Are you... from here? Or did the faeries kidnap you, too?

[Sakura doesn't find herself too excited on the food either. It looks and tastes great, but the circumstances right now have her fairly worked up. For obvious reasons, really. She turns to Oreki sitting nearby, taking a moment to confirm he wasn't asking someone else in all the crowds.]

Eh? Me? Oh. I...I was kidnapped here too. I'm not from here.

[Wherever 'here' is, exactly.]

I'm... sorry to hear that. You seem really young to be here alone. [Not that it's out of the question she's way older than she looks, but he definitely doesn't get that vibe.]

... I'm from Japan, on Earth. 2012. How about you?

Well, I don't know if I'm alone yet. I mean, I haven't found anyone from home but that doesn't mean there isn't anyone else around from home. [Because Sakura is nothing if not optimistic and hopeful nearly all the time, of course. But that worry still creeps in, likely confirming she really is only about eleven.]

You're from Japan too? I'm from Tomoeda. The years....don't seem quite right though. Is it this place? Pulling people from different times too?

[But she has made such progress thus far with Syaoran, for example. It'd be sad and frustrating almost to think he might show up and not recall it all.]

[Wait, seriously? She's from Japan? How far in the future do you have to get until that costume is acceptable street wear?

He hasn't heard of Tomoeda, though.]

I'm from Kamiyama, in Gifu. North of Nagoya. And I met someone else two years ahead of me, from 2014... and some people who seem like they're from the distance past.

You're from my future, right? Later than 2012?

Ahead of you? [Well that's. New. Sakura may have the ability for prophetic dreams, but this is something else entirely. Something she isn't sure what to make of yet.]

Oh. I'm not sure I'm from that far ahead. I mean, it was...1998. So you probably figure more than I do.

[This is just. Confusing. And as for her clothes, well she can't really explain that right off like this beyond that her friend made them for dress up. Or, she might tell the truth if she comes to know and trust him more.]

Oh. [Huh.] Okay, well, I guess not then. I just thought that that costume, uh, was what people might wear in the future or something.

[It was kind of silly, now that he says it out loud.]

O-oh, well....um, my friend likes to make costumes and I'm usually the one she likes to try them on.

[Not that that is much of a better explanation, dancing around the whole. Cardcaptor thing. She's not yet sure how much to say when she literally just arrived more or less, not yet having too much time to take everything in. How normal magic is here in comparison. She looks down at the outfit, considering. She's just rather used to Tomoyo and her outfits after wearing so many while capturing the cards lately.]

And there was the play I was in too. I guess this does kind of stand out, but I haven't had the chance to change just yet.

[Oh, she can't help being nice to a younger girl. Lemina smiles at her.]

What a cute dress! You look like a little magician ready for anything!

[She should probably anticipate that a lot more when out in public like this in Tomoyo's outfits she made. But it still takes her by surprise a bit, causing her to get a little flustered how easily the other seems to guess almost, at her being the Cardcaptor.]

I--eh? Oh...th-thank you. My friend made it for me.

Wow, you friend is mega talented if she can make clothing like that! [She wishes she could hire her, sigh.] I'm Lemina Ausa. It's nice to meet you. Where are you from?

Yes, she is! Tomoyo-chan is amazing! She can sew and sing really well! And she's smart too.

[Which is something of a foil in comparison to Sakura and her excelling at gym class. But she seems to cheer slightly at talking of her best friend, even if it's somewhat bittersweet given she has yet to find Tomoyo here.]

I'm Sakura! Sakura Kinomoto. It's nice to meet you too, Lemina-san. I'm from Tomoeda, Japan. Though I don't think this is....even in Japan.

[Which is. Worrying and scary to say the least. But if there's one thing Sakura does well it's being optimistic. Her "invincible spell".]

Um, what about you?

[She smiles a little softer. It's obvious Tomoyo must be her best friend. Though given the war situation, Lemina would rather not have any younger kids here, no matter how useful they could be.]

That's something we have in common. I'm from Vane but I don't think this place is even in Lunar, either. We must both be pretty far from home. But don't worry, I'm sure we'll get back soon.

[She isn't sure of that one but she doesn't want to scare her.]

Vane? I've not heard of that place.

[But then, this place in general is strange and for all she knows pulls people from not only Tomoeda but all sorts of worlds. Which makes it sound all the more terrifying in a way, to consider that much power. That the people here must be that desperate for help with this war. Sakura isn't entirely unused to fighting, but a war seems something she would be in over her head to deal with in comparison to back home. Even if she's finished collecting the cards and gained Yue's trust just before being pulled here.]

But...I hope you're right. I wouldn't want everyone back home worrying and missing me.

[If that would even be an issue. She's not sure how time quite works here, after all. For all she knows it could be they never notice her disappearance back home.]

Trust me! I can't stand to see a cute girl worried, okay? [Wow, she knows she shouldn't make a promise like that, though. Saying not to worry at all makes it sound like she can get them home and while she sure as hell will try, if they already overrode her magic to bring her here, well...]

...And I'm used to fighting monsters, so if you get scared, just tell me. I'll fry'em for you!

Cute? [Cute? Wait. Oh, she means Sakura. While this is hardly the first time she's been called cute it's not really something she thinks about, so she does get a little flustered, a little flushed for a second.]

Fry them? You have...fire magic? [She shouldn't really be so casual about this sort of thing, but she is out of habit from spending so much time around the likes of Syaoran. And then learning about Yukito. But she is cautious on talking about her own abilities and power just yet.]

I know of a stuffed lion very much like the one you've described, but I'm afraid he isn't very big nor does he have wings.

[He did have little ears and over sized sleeves so cute it could drive a person to madness, but that had little to do with the current situation.]

I do hope you find your friends. This place has been a terrible bore for me without my usual company.

Oh. Well, he's....pretty loud and obvious, if you do see him.

[Sakura holds up a quick, simple drawing of Kero.]

This is him! Or, what he might show up looking like. I'm sure I'll be okay. I can make new friends here, after all. But that doesn't mean I won't miss my friends back home too. But for now I don't figure that we really have any control over getting home yet. Or who might show up here.

[Beato looked at the drawing for a moment to confirm that lion in question was, in fact, not Sakutaro.]

Ohhhhh, that is quite difference from what I had i mind. The lion I know is far cuter, for one. But you seem to be very mature for your age, I've never known a small girl in all my thousand years of life that could accept a fate like this so readily.

[Not yet considering if Yukito or her family might show up. But that does get a small smile even as Sakura gets a little flustered at the compliment.]

You think so? T-thank you. I just figure there's still a lot I don't know on all of this yet and panicking won't really help.

You truly are a kind child, so I would be more then happy to help find your friends. And if you ever see a man who bright red hair who goes by the name of Battler, please do direct him to me.

[She had a few choice words for Battler should he ever arrive in the Draubworld, most of them things she would not ever dare to repeat in front of a small child.]

I really do. You've managed to keep your calm while many twice your age have been running around like chickens with their heads cut off. It is quite impressive.

Battler? I can do that! It's the least I could do if you might help me find my friends if they arrive.

[But there's a nod of agreement at sending this 'Battler' her way. A small offer to help if it might assist her own friends from home at some point.]

I suppose I'm just....well, I'm not used to being in a whole new world, exactly, but sometimes I'd be home alone for a bit with brother and dad working. I don't know if they might be here too, but I'm sure that everything will be okay somehow.

[Because of course she tries to believe the best of people. That's just how Sakura is, even if she has a temper at times. She's not really sure what to say on the compliment on her not freaking out too much, so settles for a simple thanks.]
