[ you know, korra doesn't spend a lot of time down here at the feast, but when she brushes by this guy — this weird, nomad looking guy — she can't help but get a buzz of something spiritual off of him.

so excuse her as she turns around with the oddest of looks on her face, watching jesus walk away a few steps.

and you know, as the avatar of the world, the host of the light spirit, jesus might be able to feel something off of her, too. ]

[ uh-oh, he's definitely being stared at. it's like a laser in the back of his head. he hesitates, then cautiously turns to look at.. oh.

oh. huh. juggling his glass (conveniently miracled full again) and plate, he lifts a hand in a cheerful wave. yo, fellow pseudo-deity! ]

Hi! [ um. to brave the crowd again or.. ]

[ you know, if only korra was more in-tune with her spiritual side, she'd be able to pinpoint exactly what about this guy is making her pause. ]

Hhhi. [ it's curious, if hesitant. ] ... You might want to give it a few minutes. The crowd'll thin out.

[deiform]

It sure is busy right now, isn't it?

[ he moves to stand at her side, observing the crowd briefly before turning to blink at her. ]

.. If you're wondering about me, it's probably because we're a little alike. [ his smile returns, and it's a little bit like he's known her since long before she was born-- it's just the kind of feeling he gives off. ] I mean, as far as the soul and what we represent goes. [ he might be an enormous nerd, clumsy, terrible with money, and occasionally overdramatic with his friends, but he's still the son of god and all. intuition and empathy are things he does. ]

[sangilak]

[ really, that's a little unnerving, a feeling korra's not at all used to. not even tenzin gave off that vibe and energy and her past life was literally his father. ]

How— [ this is a different kind of power, something korra's not exactly used to. if she sounds a little overwhelmed, it's because she is. ] —How are you doing that?

[ you know, if the spiritual aspect gave her this kind of power then maybe she should pay more attention to it. ]

Doing what?

[ he looks genuinely puzzled by the question, but then.. again, he's a little ridiculous sometimes. (read: often.)

a pause, and he just sighs and miracles his plate and glass elsewhere. he'll get them back when he's sure he isn't going to accidentally dump them on someone. in the meantime, he tucks his hands into his pockets to keep them out of trouble. ]

[sangilak]

Seeing what I am.

[ it's... weird, having someone point it out so bluntly. and btw that miracle right there? really cool, okay. korra can't do that. ]

Usually I have to spend hours explaining it.

[deiform]

.. Oh, that. [ he blows a few strands of hair out of his eyes, considering how to explain it. ] Well, that's a little complicated, but.. where I'm from, my father is sort of.. the deity in charge of everything? And he's omnipresent and omniscient, and even though I mostly live like a human, I inherited a lot of.. all of that.

[ he'd never thought he'd have to explain this sort of thing to someone from another world, but it goes to show that he should never discount the probability of realm-hopping. ]

So I tend to recognize other savior-types.

[sangilak]

[ korra feels her face flush hot, and she shakes her head out of embarrassment. ]

I— wouldn't say I'm a savior. I just try and keep balance in the world.

[ she doesn't know it yet, but some time very soon she'll be willing to sacrifice her own life for the air nation. even so, she wouldn't consider that anything more than an avatar should do. ]
