Date Auction Meme

Feeling a bit down with the war looming ahead of you? What better way to raise some money for the cause than by bidding what you have on a lovely Bachelor or Bachelorette of your dreams?

1) Participants can either auction themselves or friends can sign them up for the auction!
2) Make sure to add a starting price!
3) Bidders can be anyone.
4) Please put the character's name and canon in the header.
Bidding ends... whenever. Dammit, this is Fairyland, Jim. Time has no hold here. The reward is dinner with whomever they bid on (or whatever else was agreed on). Multiple winners are allowed (because this is a meme, okay? Okay.)

Gendry | The Blacksmith Guy
He can be nice, sometimes.
He's strong.
He glistens.He's tall.
He's practically a prince.
And he knows to make swords.

[ there's no use in auctioning off the blacksmith only to find someone clamouring for a refund when he pulls stupid faces through the first date. ]

[ as if that's the only reason why no one cares to buy a grumpy chip-on-his-shoulder mouthy blacksmith. ]

[ it's just good business sense. ]

instead, she says: ] I believe the price ought to depend upon the...courtship. It's nature. [ because are they not auctioning off exactly that? courtship. paying suit. at least, that's how she understood the word date. and as ludicrous as it seems (for sansa) to pay for the privilege of having a suitor, she has quickly decided the cost should match the ardency of that suitor's court. ] Not only upon the -- not only upon you.
[ this is all dreadfully discomforting. ]

A lot of bloody nonsense is all it is.

[ she almost pleads for his patience. she never fares well with insistence or argument, and so when she wants to pose something in opposition she cloaks it almost like begging. ] The bidder ought to know what she bids upon. What is a date with Ser Gendry the Bull? What does it promise?
[ does it end in marriage? because a secure marriage with a good man might be worth well more than a few coppers. ]

I don't know. I ain't ever been on no date. I figure I'd try and be decent, at least. I might wash myself up a bit, if I had the chance. [He clearly didn't today... or this past week.]

[ that sounds like something that should be a concrete plan at least. let sansa be the one to reverse-bid by shaving a few stags off the auction point she has in mind. ]

[ because aiding him in fetching a few more bids might adequately mask the fact that she's still running the numbers in her head. ]

Although...
[ Harry looks around, shrugs and figures that if he's going to be a good sport and throw in thirty dang gold pieces, he might as well do something with it. ]
I'll put the thirty on you. How's that? Fair?

... does that mean I'd have to court you?

[Well, he supposes that would be alright then.]

If you're not scooped up by some fine lady and I'm still in the hole for this damned thing, then it's thirty gold pieces and dinner at a pub.
no subject
Gods willing, that's all it will be.

You'll have to get a bit more polished for that sort of thing, but I suppose it'd be worth it?
