Feeling a bit down with the war looming ahead of you? What better way to raise some money for the cause than by bidding what you have on a lovely Bachelor or Bachelorette of your dreams?

There is so much of this land I have not tasted. Perhaps one of your favorites from the coast?

I'll be absolutely frank when I say that I selected my villa based on the climate, the distance from the courts... and the local cuisine.

There's a dish that's specific to the coastal region, which... in my opinion encompasses the spirit of the locale. The colour, passion, variety, and the social warmth of the people. Cooked in a great shallow copper dish over an outdoor fire while wine's being poured for everyone coming in from their labours, it includes the soft rice of the region, which crisps at first and then goes delightfully creamy in the sauce, which is usually a two-day stock, saffron, peppers... they add a stunning amount of fine white wine to it, as well..

Into this, there's chorizo sausage, delicately thin bits of specially-cured ham, rabbit or chicken, shrimp, mussels, a few greens, more peppers...
