Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

Character: Alyosha "Aly" Hazan, aka, "The Red Lady"

Current Location: Southern coast in a villa on the outskirts of a middling-sized village
Planned Travel: Throughout the drabwurld, primarily in summer.
General overview of recent events: "Alyosha Hazan", a former Unseelie hero and general who founded and ruled Redgate for the past century, is broadly believed dead at the hands of Reynard the Fox. To those she meets now, she introduces herself as "Aly Red-hand", the leader of a band of expertly-trained mercenaries augmented with shard-power. She assisted on the side of the Seelie in the recent battles.

Who are your characters known associates/friends/enemies?: Very few. Most of her CR is known only to each other, but includes: Waver Velvet, Rin, Saber, the Brucolac, Harry Potter, Grell, Dragmire, Flora, Diarmuid, Berserker Lancelot, Alice, Damon, and many others.
What notable events has my character been a part of?: Waking the dragon at Redgate, the Midnight Court in Treun, battling Reynard the Fox outside of Mair, hunting him following that, the current battles between Seelie and Unseelie.
What can other characters easily ICly learn about your character?: "Alyosha Hazan" is a warrior and leader of legendary status within the drabwurld, whose adventures are the subject of various lais which are relatively easily discoverable ICly. As "Aly Red-hand", it's easy enough to learn that she's a former-shardbearer mercenary leader and vampire of substantial magical power.
What information is limited to specific CR?: The fact that she IS Alyosha Hazan, location of her primary residence, her involvement in the last battles against Reynard the Fox, the location of her home base, etcetera.
What information is my character willing to share/can be readily discovered if another works to uncover it?: She can teach shard activation (for a price), and knows a great deal of the drabwurld's interior history, a great deal about shards, the looming end of the world, and in secret is a leader of a substantial neutrally aligned group working to discover a 'neutral win' option.

Outwardly because then they have money and jobs!

Quietly because other people then cannot hire them, then, if he contracts them to work only under Seelie etc (in theory)

She'd be welcome to blandly point out what he was doing

She would absolutely accept this proposal without batting a lash, if the price was right! And request to do work on Seelie dime within Glaschu for major settlements/clearing out monsters/patrolling roads (and etc.). Can't let her men get lazy, now.

She may adopt some Unseelie into her mercenary ranks, but she'd provide them with means to hide their shard signature before even stepping foot into Glaschu so that there's no trouble. She'll also be giving over formal command of her troops late in the year (likely to Diarmuid and John Grimm as a contracted duo), and have a long conference with him about it in March.

katherine knows damon, but she's not interested in him romantically or even being on team damon (and she wouldn't abuse that connection, but i'm not sure if aly knows anything about damon/katherine at al), but she's a 500 year old vampire, she's had her own family taken from her brutally (which i'm hoping to open the door for during the timeskip), and she supports ladies in charge. katherine would love to learn about shards and isn't above doing something to earn it. it helps her out in the end, she's all for herself, so she's not going to let pride get in the way of paying a price for it. and i think armel wore the colour arm cloth that was for her? he speaks highly of her all the time so her name is one katherine knows.

That's fascinating, and I'd love to get them connected! Do you have a good idea for a first meeting scenario? They sound like they have... distressingly similar backstories. I'm already preparing for things to get Emotional.

You had mentioned before the possibility of Aly wanting to get some chocobos for her mercenaries, I think? Depending on how Lumina's next boon goes, they should be available in large enough numbers after about six months for 'picking out' and then usable as actual magic mounts at the end of the timeskip...

I'd like for Wan to get some lessons in activating and using his shard. He'll be in the general southern lands during the winter/early spring of the new year. I'd also like for him to be scouted as a potential ally for finding a neutral win.

How would you like him to be scouted? What notable acts would he have accomplished? Primarily, the individuals Alyosha has gathered to this aim so far have been individuals who have distinguished themselves significantly in the drabwurld... enough to warrant her seeking them out!

Presently, Damon and a few other Unseelie individuals are aware of her capabilities as an instructor! Waver, Saber, Grell, the Brucolac, Harry Potter, Lancelot, Alice, and others, if you'd like for him to hear of the opportunity through the grapevine.

I know that we have some plans already (loose ones timeskip wise), but I did want to ask if Alyosha wanted to be involved in Rin's shard research as well as get permission it'd be okay for her to do it at her villa. Should be happening between 21 ~ 25 of February of her place so.

She was given a shard by Saber from Aragorn that I was going to have her practice via her craft and try a few Type-Moon things on.

Besides that, the tutoring thing will be so much fun. '-'

I would kind of really love for Clarke to learn to use her shard. She's gathered up some money/items of worth during the battle and will gladly exchange it for the chance to learn. Alternatively, training for training? Clarke would be more than happy to teach some more intricate medical knowledge to Aly or her mercenary group if that would be better? I'm open to it either way!

Clarke's also going to be doing some research as to how the war originated and what each court is being told about the battle, so if she at all finds out that Aly is a native she might ask some Drabwurld-related questions if that would be okay.

Haggling over shard training would be the best! Several Unseelie know that Aly is capable of this instruction, if you'd like for Clarke to learn about the opportunity organically? Waver, Saber, Grell, the Brucolac, Harry Potter, Lancelot, Alice, and others...

Aly isn't *quite* a native; she was brought in as an Unseelie shardbearer 400 years ago, and perished as a major Unseelie general roughly 100 years ago while trying to slay the last Seelie dragon. The story of her death and subsequent resurrection are a popular drabwurld story, and as "Alyosha Hazan" she was famed for her efforts in defending natives and promoting their well-being.

She takes it upon herself to educate intelligent and discerning shardbearers about the war whenever she can, so that would likely be a substantial bit of information and CR for Clarke!
