Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

Character: Lumina
Series: Final Fantasy 13: Lightning Returns
Court: Unseelie
Current Location: Her chocobo ranch outside of Mair.
Planned Travel: Lumina is going to be all over the place at different times.
General overview of recent events: She helped with the evacuation of Caer Scima, and then with getting people to help try and save the Jabberwhelp, and failing. Now she's kind of moping around.
Recent open threads/posts: A post about chocobos! She also has open threads on the evacuation and the jabberwhelp battle.

Who are your character's known associates/friends/enemies?:
The Outsider, Alice, Grell, Hiro, Archer, Lemina, Shijima, other people I am forgetting! She doesn't really have enemies. Nico maybe?
What notable events has my character been a part of?: The Death of Reynard, The battle for Caer Scima, the Jabberwhelp stuff!
What can other characters easily ICly learn about your character?:
She can teleport, she has a weird sense of humor, she summons monsters, she is basically an Imp Whisperer, that she's raising chocobos!
What information is limited to specific CR?: Personal things about herself, details about her 'family' back home, details on how her powers work, any of her little emotional lapses beyond whimsical trickster.
What information is my character willing to share/can be readily discovered if another works to uncover it?: Lumina likes to talk about other people more than herself, but if people befriend her she'll talk about things. Otherwise most of the things about her people just don't really know to find out yet.

( BASIC ★ TIMESKIP ★ PLANS )

• Organize her chocobo ranch! Get everything working and sorted out and flowing smoothly so she can stop having to do everything herself oh my god it's so much work and she's lazy! Six to eight months into the timeskip, chocobo chicks will become available to unseelie court members to purchase, as long as they promise not to eat them. (Chocobo eggs for food is probably going to come a bit later after someone explains unfertilized eggs to her...)


• Travel! She'll be going on a whale watching trip with the Outsider, traveling to various cities, and be constantly checking in on her friends.


• An emotional nervous breakdown during the harp event! Lumina pretty much bottles her negative emotions inside her when she can, and she hasn't given them much thought since she arrived here. And they're going to come out! Won't that be fun!


• Visiting the major 'events' of the timeskip. She'll be hunting swans, be at the tourney, try to talk to the Black Shuck, and giving out Yule presents, etc etc.

It looks like they will probably have enough chocobos to arrange for races around eight months into the timeskip.

What if they really did that. A big Celebration of Spring chocobo race with betting and other events and invite the whole world.

I'd still like Wan to get a chocobo once they become available, but maybe he could help out on the ranch for a week or so before he moves on with his travels? He's a hard worker and is happy to help out so she can continue to be lazy for a bit.

Probably spring/going into summer. Depending on where the Ranch is. So uh, I guess I should ask where it is?

people keep suggesting that Rin gets a chocobo as a mount, but they aren't exactly close enough to where Lumina would give her priority to that. maybe something much later on, problem is... Rin doesn't want to buy anything, so it'd have to be a gift from either a third party or Lumina sucking up. So there's that.

If she needs help with her emotions, Rin can be there for her as well. Just collects all the little girls.

The first bunch of chocobos are all pretty much spoken for, yes. After a couple months there will be more than enough...though just giving one to rin, mmm...

Lumina would have to be convinced. Or Rin would have to ahve something Lumina wants to bribe her for.

Excellent. Rin won't know how to deal, but she will help all she can ;AAAAAA;

Rin will have adopted a native child, made him her official heir, and working with a number of orphanages and natives. Pretty much by that point giving her a gift is worth to attract positive attention... but guess that depends on how she feels about charities!

(Like I said, I can just force someone else to pay for it as a gift for her)

It isn't a major desire, just Rin has no attachment to a mount despite being in game since October so it'd be nice to change that by the end of timeskip, especially since she has Rider and Saber who love their own.

we should log something near yule, shijima will actually bother to get lumina a gift. idk what else but whatever!!! she will kind of lurk around the farm when she's in mair and then wander off into the wilds and return with idk souveniers.

she is hunting them with hiro but she would probably hunt them with lumina TOO.

also she cares SO LITTLE about money. she will probably just kind of show up and give lumina some occasionally because she doesn't like bothering with it. for like when she gets money for killing things or whatever. :|

lumina should help her with her wardrobe because she's horrible about that, too
