Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

While I don't believe that Jason will ever be anti-the Unseelie court or the court culture, I think it would be natural for him to end up seeking out Waver as a source of information in the world, if only because he will need a broadened perspective. Jason is an incredibly terrible unreliable narrator and will likely twist and manipulate the information in his own head to suit his own ends, but he would still seek out what he could gain from Waver.

Waver tends to ascertain one's stance on the war before giving them any information, so if Jason really shows his court stance, Waver will be cautious about what he permits Jason to hear from him. But that could be a very fun test of wills.

That makes sense! A lot of Jason's stance is partly because of what he arrived to see, but he learned from Rin that there are disappearances on maps in the world, so he could possibly/probably play it off as "I'm Unseelie-leaning because look what just happened, but I'm clearly missing a load of information." Jason is clever and quick enough to try to get what he wants! Whether he succeeds is another thing altogether.

This could be super interesting then! Waver's drabbucks new place is a little more on the down low, so I'm guessing the location would filter to him eventually?

If that's all right! If I need to figure out how it gets to him via PCs, I'd be willing to work it out with someone (if you have someone in mind).

I can ask Sin if she's cool with that being the means, since Jason would likely ask her! Otherwise, I can definitely handwave it.
