While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

φ Waver is pointedly against both courts and freely provides information that casts both Seelie and Unseelie monarchs in a poor light. He loathes the war, and doesn't hide that fact at all.
φ He owns the Barrel, a coffee house.
φ He is a hub of information, and often if he doesn't know the right people, he knows who to point someone to.
φ He is a chemistry professor from 2014 London
φ He primarily uses his title of Lord El-Melloi II in place of his name. He has also used the name Titus Williams rather than give out his name as Waver Velvet freely.
φ He has a sizeable library that was available at the Barrel's original location, full of anti-court treatises.

What information is limited to specific CR?:
φ Waver is a mage, and a professor of alchemy at Clock Tower in London. Waver's status is a mage is something he only reveals to people he trusts.
φ Likewise, Waver uses the name of Lord El-Melloi II, and his personal name is limited. This is done for several reasons, but especially to ensure that Kayneth doesn't find out that he is Waver Velvet!
φ The purpose of the Barrel is to encourage court dissent and ensure that people have the chance to work out for themselves that the war is bullshit. Being able to provide that information makes for easy alliances, and Waver wants to be able to support those who want to work against the court.

What information is my character willing to share/can be readily discovered if another works to uncover it?:
φ He has several recovered pages from the Drabkeeper's library
φ His personal weapon is 10 litres of weaponized mercury that he added artificial intelligence to. VH is a massive secret, and has only been used twice in game combat before.
φ Waver isn't just a mage - he's a mage who rebelled against his own government alongside Rin, and pulled it off.
φ That Rider fellow that hangs around the Barrel is Alexander the Great, who Waver summoned into a war of magical combat at age 19.
φ He is a part of the Covenant, a secret group working to hold the war between the courts in a stalemate. (Note: this information is absolutely top secret. You need to really, really work to get it. Barrel group already knows.)
φ He has access to two sigls

While I don't believe that Jason will ever be anti-the Unseelie court or the court culture, I think it would be natural for him to end up seeking out Waver as a source of information in the world, if only because he will need a broadened perspective. Jason is an incredibly terrible unreliable narrator and will likely twist and manipulate the information in his own head to suit his own ends, but he would still seek out what he could gain from Waver.

Waver tends to ascertain one's stance on the war before giving them any information, so if Jason really shows his court stance, Waver will be cautious about what he permits Jason to hear from him. But that could be a very fun test of wills.

obviously, i'd love to strengthen my cr with you! katherine's escorting mages to one of the spires later this month and will be trying to learn more about them and witches within the world, so perhaps their relationship grows over the 'skip where she learns he was a mage and he learns she was once a witch? i feel like she might come to him, anyway, and just ask him if he knows wtf a mage is before she takes on her quest. he seems super knowledgeable to her so that's her line of thought for that if you're up for it!

and i'd love to follow up with waver and zuko! he'll gladly make tea in the barrel, lmfao. but! zuko's sort of taking on the quendi side of la llorona (since his village is there and he's expanding it), so i'm not sure if that's a location of interest for you? but he's trying to ally himself with the good people of the drabwurld. he also hates reynard so we're going to get I Hate Reynard shirts.

Two things, if that's cool!!

One is that Clarke is going to be doing as much research as time permits to find out the reality behind the war. What each court is telling their residents, what the courts think of the opposite court & why they're fighting, etc. She's not really anti-court at this point, but she's desperate to learn more about the Drabwurld and its origins, given how long the war has been going on. Anyway, long story short: she might swing by the Barrel on her travels in order to seek him out for help in gaining knowledge, if that's okay by you!

Secondly, Clarke won't necessarily be opening up an outpost, but she is working with some others on a letter running service while the lockets and fairy rings are out of commission. If she's already going to be looking for Waver for insight, it could easily turn into Clarke offering to run information between outposts as an exchange, if that's up your alley. c:

(I might also throw her to Waver for a quest once March starts, since I already had her snag one from Ariadne this month! Unless I can claim a timeskip quest for her now- But that's entirely secondary to the above!)
