Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

I'd love for these two to run into one another!!! I'm not sure where we can work it in exactly - she's def going to that tournament but just to watch - but if nothing else if we get them in the same area she does happen to be a miss bei fong, just the entirely wrong one if he'd hear her mentioned. :|a

it'd be really great to get them involved together! he'll be bending his fire into swords in the melee and be doing some firebending for the magical duel -- i imagine he'd be recognisable to her due to the scar? (i haven't watched atlok so i will definitely ask the dumb questions or get things wrong.) but i'd really love for them to get together! he actually wears toph's metal bracelet around his arm, so, he really misses her a lot and i'd love for him to have an excuse to speak highly of her.

zuko doesn't know much about his future -- and i've been keeping the korra's-the-avatar on the quiet due to how i want him to develop a relationship with korra -- but i think it's time he actually learns a bit more of the truth about his future self! he thinks he's like 28, he doesn't know he has a daughter, he doesn't know who he marries (and i so hope it's mai, lmao) and he doesn't know toph even has a family, since he just knows the future krew as korra = diplomat, mako = cop, bolin = bolin. he doesn't know he's old as balls nor the fact that he actually has druk in his future (since he booned him and he doesn't get it), so i imagine opal might be a good source of actually making him super confused and stress out about his life even more. but if you want to deal with zuko freaking the fuck out, he's all yours.

and, warning: he'll smother opal because he's gotta look after family.

HAHA YEAH, seeing him doing firebending would be an instant "I want to talk to him" and the scar would give him away - Opal's never like, spoken to the Firelord directly or anything (Ex-firelord, whatever) but it's a fair bet she'd recognize him and she'd certainly recognize her grandmother's bracelet, too. (it's ok if you get stuff wrong I DON'T MIND. it's not like zuko knows it anyway!!!) So she'd definitely approach him after his match!

And she actually could probably freak him out on accident! (I HOPE IT WAS MAI, TOO, idk who else it would be why are zuko and toph so secret about their marriages) but at the very least she wouldn't keep it a secret that she's definitely Toph's granddaughter since...well, that would be weird. And also silly when she uses her name. Although he's free to ???? at airbender granddaughter of Toph because yeah.

She would be okay with this!!! She's used to having a huge family and would love to get to know someone who you know knows her grandma and has lots of good things to say about her. :)

HE'S NOT SCARY, i promise. but i figured she would recognise him -- and i don't know if the other guys have said that he's there. i don't think they know sokka is, since zuko's been keeping him to himself and they've been super busy with the unseelie side of the war. but i hope you both don't mind that he'll end up telling her EVERYTHING about toph. and probably none of this "you remind me of her" stuff, since i doubt opal is as MEAN as she is! but he's going to ??? ???? ???

you're toph's grandkid, he is going to want to know everything -- and one of those is who her granddad is, which is so great because this show gives us none of this info! i'm seriously hoping it's mai, since there's no one else. I'M GLAD YOU AGREE. i just want to make this canon, but i hear that they have a comic coming out that may give this answer to us? and i know fans speculate sokka's one of toph's kid's dads, so i'm just like ??? can we please get this info!?

but i'd love for him to find out just so he can be like "you're way nicer than your grandmother who HITS ME FOR NO REASON." he's settled in enough to find out about some of the future tidbits that we at least have confirmations of. and he'd want to make sure she's okay, so, great uncle zuko will be giving her curfews and interrogating any boys who like her! we had a toph in the game when i apped in, and he's been feeling guilt over her up and leaving, so, i apologise in advance for how overprotective and overbearing he may be.

Nope, no one has mentioned them at all to her yet, so she's like happily oblivious! And haha she's not much like Toph at ALL until she gets, like, angry. She can be mean when she's angry, but it doesn't happen too much. And she's a bit stubborn, but like...she's generally even-tempered and family-oriented and all about honesty and trying to be upfront.

lmfao at least opal is probably just as unsure about who her granddad is too???? Or Lin didn't seem to have asked about her dad or anything. and she and suyin both use the bei fong name so. AWKWARD SHRUGGING grandma does what she wants. I HOPE THEY GIVE US THE ANSWER, YES.

We can set up a meeting log at the festival for sure whenever you like (i guess we are threading in timeskip posts??? is that what is happening) and she would be perfectly happy to answer whatever she can answer ("well grandma is living in a swamp so i haven't seen her since i was like up to her waist" toph what the hell) and i will laugh if he interrogates boys for her. she's technically ???? dating future bolin but since he doesn't remember that she's ????? status.

oh my god, i hope he finds out while bolin still doesn't know so he can literally go threaten him. bolin's a great guy who has great hands that zuko got to hold once, he knows you've got the best boyfriend, but he still has to threaten him with death.

she must've gotten the zen genes that don't exist with toph. if zuko ends up asking any questions opal doesn't know herself, we can just have druk interrupt them somehow. CONVENIENT DRAGON BEING GOOD FOR US OOCLY. they can revisit the conversation in 48395043 years when we do find out.

i think the mods are posting a log for the tourney? but all the timeskip stuff that isn't really important for game-changing is done in your timeskip post from my understanding. so, if these two meet again, we can just pick someone's post and thread it there! but i hope you know she's welcome to come to azure (the little village in quendi where he's going to live). i know she's seelie, but he'll make sure she's safe from the court tensions. he's rising up in rank, let him use his influence.

HE DOESN'T REMEMBER IT, but she is...three years in the future. (Toph couldn't believe it, either.) She doesn't have any timeskip plans with Bolin until July, and the tourney is in June, so Zuko could actually technically find out first if she lets it slip on accident!

yes! and i have a feeling they'll hit it off, so i will totally steal you for more threads! the offer will be there regardless. zuko may be awkward about it and around her for a while, but he'll extend an invite to her regardless if she's seelie. family is family, the drabwurld can go suck it or go tell her grandmother.
