Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

Current Location: Azure, a village near Quendi.
Planned Travel: EVERYWHERE! Throughout the entire year.
General overview of recent events: Zuko has been fortifying the village he founded on a quest, has been training villagers and Unseelie alike, has been burning things during the battle, and had a lasso that helped tamed the Jabberwhelp before he passed out and teleported, injured, back to his village.
Recent open threads/posts: An open log for Azure for Feb and at the fall of Caer Scima. If you'd like him during the Station Jabberwhelp attack, please lmk!

Who are your character's known associates/friends/enemies?:

ASSOCIATES/FRIENDS: Sokka, Alice, Grell, Katsa, Cassie, Wan, Morla. He knows people in the Seelie side, like Bolin, Mako, Korra, and Lancelot, but that's more on the d.l.
ENEMIES: Reynard.

What notable events has my character been a part of?: He was apart of the Raonil transportation, where they fucked up and Reynard tried to kill them. From thereon, he has been involved in trying to take down Reynard. He wasn't there when he died, as he was enjoying his newly acquired bending, but he was there in spirit. And the recent battle where he had a lasso that could control the Jabberwock.
What can other characters easily ICly learn about your character?: He has a scar (and it looks like a burn); he's a firebender; he's Crown Prince of the Fire Nation but really the Fire Lord; he hates his father; he hates what his nation has become; he is a kind and considerate and compassionate guy, even if he's quiet and often abrupt at times; he's an excellent swordsman, incredibly agile and flexible, and he's always trying to teach people in a manner that best resonates with them. He also really likes tea, and his girlfriend is named Mai and he really, really loves and misses her.
What information is limited to specific CR?: His mother is missing, but he finds her; he has a dragon in the Drabwurld; he actually does admire his sister despite all she's done to him; the false story he got his scar in a training accident; he was banished for three years.
What information is my character willing to share/can be readily discovered if another works to uncover it?: How he got his scar and possibly the true reason why he was banished from the Fire Nation.

• garner himself a reputation of being a fierce fighter, an unwavering and compassionate leader, and a fire bug.
  
• work tirelessly on building Azure from the bottom ground up into a rich, powerful, and beautiful city.

• begin to train any in swordsmanship and wielding fire, but for a price, of course.
  
• practice using his shard to make himself stronger.
  
• learn more about Druk and see him grow.
  
• his fire will become hotter, more controlled, and perhaps even shift in colour ... perhaps go visit the pyrii and learn a thing or two of fire there? who knows.
  
• participate in the melee and magical duelling with firebending swords.
  
• develop closer relationships with existing CR, as well as begin acquainting himself with CR that will either be useful or damaging to him later on.

I'd love for these two to run into one another!!! I'm not sure where we can work it in exactly - she's def going to that tournament but just to watch - but if nothing else if we get them in the same area she does happen to be a miss bei fong, just the entirely wrong one if he'd hear her mentioned. :|a

it'd be really great to get them involved together! he'll be bending his fire into swords in the melee and be doing some firebending for the magical duel -- i imagine he'd be recognisable to her due to the scar? (i haven't watched atlok so i will definitely ask the dumb questions or get things wrong.) but i'd really love for them to get together! he actually wears toph's metal bracelet around his arm, so, he really misses her a lot and i'd love for him to have an excuse to speak highly of her.

zuko doesn't know much about his future -- and i've been keeping the korra's-the-avatar on the quiet due to how i want him to develop a relationship with korra -- but i think it's time he actually learns a bit more of the truth about his future self! he thinks he's like 28, he doesn't know he has a daughter, he doesn't know who he marries (and i so hope it's mai, lmao) and he doesn't know toph even has a family, since he just knows the future krew as korra = diplomat, mako = cop, bolin = bolin. he doesn't know he's old as balls nor the fact that he actually has druk in his future (since he booned him and he doesn't get it), so i imagine opal might be a good source of actually making him super confused and stress out about his life even more. but if you want to deal with zuko freaking the fuck out, he's all yours.

and, warning: he'll smother opal because he's gotta look after family.

Lmao out of everything read, this is the one that pings me hardest /FACE IN HANDS Hello Zuko, Arno can really really relate to missing/pining for girlfriends! His is on the Seelie side. :c

That aside, I really think they'd get along! Arno can definitely deal with bluntness, and he likes trying to see all sides of people (unless you try to screw with him, then not so much :V), so Zuko would be really interesting to talk with, I think!

but that would be fabulous! zuko really needs more people in his life who don't simply settle for seeing one side of someone. it's a lesson he's still learning, and it'd be great to surround himself with another person (since he has sokka who does this to him). he thinks he's a horrible person, so, having someone else who isn't biased toward him or privy to his history would be grand at challenging him.

no, this would be great! i only really know mcu loki (and comic loki wrt his relationship to sif), but considering they both have siblings who are perceived to be The Greatest Thing Ever, loki will probably confuse zuko as well as be someone he can empathise with.

These two haven't met, much less spoken to each other, but I would be perfectly willing to correct that, since I enjoyed both Zuko and ATLA. Lucy would primarily be hanging around Spire 6, which shouldn't be too far from Quendi. But I'm willing to work with anything if you're up for it!

if it's near quendi, zuko's going to be hovering around! he's travelling, either way, so there's no reason why they can't meet! he's also going to all the events, so if lucy's attending, we can use that as an excuse to bump into each other as well.

Lemina is a pretty useful fire-affinity lover who can help teach how to enchant swords with fire? Also they were paired on the matchmaker meme so I can't help wanting CR.

but that would be great! it seemed like in canon he could make sort of spearish looking blades with his bending? but he's always open to learning more since he knows he doesn't know everything about fire and is completely willing to learn more! he will beat himself up tremendously for not getting it the first go, though. completely endearing.

As I mentioned on plurk and in my own toplevel, Wan is probably going to make Azure his sort-of homebase for his travels. And of course, he'll help out with building and protecting it whenever he's in the area.

that's completely fine! i know zuko will probably ask him to use his earthbending to help construct walls and airbending for some stuff since they're building up into the trees. it's welcome to him and will always remain so for wan whether he stays for a week or stays for two months! he'll trust that if wan's in the village when he's gone that they're safe, so, zuko's going to love him being there.

Zuko is one of my favorites so I'm a bit biased in approaching you for CR. Rin, on the other hand, can use all five of the elements but has a fondness for fire since it's what her father used. I was thinking if they don't meet prior, she could probably see him participate in the tournament in Treun and approach him there, provided they don't meet paired up against each other. If they do, then well they will definitely meet there.

I'm not sure whether or not she's useful/damaging, but she's actively seeking out involvement in trade as well as politics to fight off against anti-shardbearer sentiments in her immediate area as well as surrounding areas. While Rin has been slow in use with her sword, she might be interested in the concept of using swords of flame (or infused with flame) so she might seek him out once she's confident in her ability to do so.

between you and me, zuko is my fave, too. you've got flawless taste.

but i'd love for them to initially meet in treun! whether they go against one another or not, it seems to be the best place for fire powers! and he'll ask her if she's an avatar since he thinks anyone who is a witch or can bend more than one element must be in their own world. zuko's logic, sometimes you just have to roll with it.

he'll definitely teach her! i know in book 1 he actually seemed to bend small dagger like shapes with his bending when he was attacking general zhao? so, he'll gladly help with that since it's an ability he wants to learn properly himself. the best way to learn is if you teach someone who can also teach you a lesson in return! but he's also interested in fighting off anti-shardbearer sentiments, given he's sort of taken over quendi, so if there's anything political there that can be worked out/gained between the two, i know zuko will don his fire lord crown and want to organise something!

oh yes, absolutely! zuko doesn't understand what magic really is, so the more people who teach him, the better! all he can offer her in return atm is lessons on how to control fire and even swordfighting. they can end their lessons with some tea.
