Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

Two things, if that's cool!!

One is that Clarke is going to be doing as much research as time permits to find out the reality behind the war. What each court is telling their residents, what the courts think of the opposite court & why they're fighting, etc. She's not really anti-court at this point, but she's desperate to learn more about the Drabwurld and its origins, given how long the war has been going on. Anyway, long story short: she might swing by the Barrel on her travels in order to seek him out for help in gaining knowledge, if that's okay by you!

Secondly, Clarke won't necessarily be opening up an outpost, but she is working with some others on a letter running service while the lockets and fairy rings are out of commission. If she's already going to be looking for Waver for insight, it could easily turn into Clarke offering to run information between outposts as an exchange, if that's up your alley. c:

(I might also throw her to Waver for a quest once March starts, since I already had her snag one from Ariadne this month! Unless I can claim a timeskip quest for her now- But that's entirely secondary to the above!)

MORE THAN COOL!

I'm very happy to help Clarke get extra information about the war, and if you'd like her to start to lean anti-court, just say the word and I can up the ante quite a bit. Waver's general approach is to give out a little bit more than the basic info until he has a solid assessment of the person's stance, and then really bring them into the fold.

Second point: I had been looking at what you guys were doing and have been super impressed so far. Waver can happily give her some ideas on how to do it, and like he's going to say no to an extra avenue of running messages. That'd be lovely.

(Finish up from Ariadne and then come to me, there's...well goodness knows there's enough quests on that darn board.)

I think that she will ultimately wind up in the anti-court side of things, potentially. She could really go either way, since she also had the opportunity to lean one way or the other in her home world, and I'd love to explore that with her here to mirror that! Right now she's more looking to see how the courts are placing bias' in their favour and exploring why people have decided to fight in the war -- this could easily lead to anti-court sentiments, depending on the results of her research!

And that's great! Clarke is all for getting feedback and suggestions on how to help Thomas et all improve letter/info running while offering to do that for Waver in return. c:

Waver has a lot of literature that's anti-court that was originally available at the Barrel's first location. (He's keeping it under tighter security with the war on in earnest, but willing to let people access it when he thinks that he can trust them.) If you want to work towards that level of access, it could be fun.

Waver will also keep an ear to the ground to let the letter info running group know if anyone is on to them. Clarke could be his main contact for such information, if you're up for it?

That would be awesome! I'd love to work towards something like that. She's also going to wind up wanting to meet with Alyosha for shard training, so I need to figure out an avenue for her to find out about shard training for that to happen. So she'll definitely probably be seeing a bit of Waver throughout timeskip!

Excellent, that sounds like a plan. Depending on how things go, Waver can always be used to give Alyosha a tip off (she tends to trust him as an info source) and she can come to Clarke. IDK how you and the mods are planning to handle it, but I'm always happy to help with information sharing.

That would actually be pretty perfect. The current plan was for Clarke to gain the invite/information organically via CR, so that would actually cover my bases if that happens! *^*

Oh that definitely makes life easy then. IDK what Clarke's travel plans are, but Waver's coffee house is open as of 1 March.

She'll be headed to Caer Scima at the start of March -- or wherever the royal audience is being held -- in order to return shards from the battlefield to Morla. Following that I don't believe she has anything concrete until further into timeskip, so heading to the coffee house to do info-searching following the royal audience is totally doable. c:
