aslan | those books about kids playing in furniture
[ A great Lion there is, but not wholly lion-like. Bigger, golden and with an intelligence in his gaze that the dumb animals have never worn. He paces the halls of Caer Glaem curiously while the feast goes on, exploring the strange new land so similar to Narnia and yet not; fairies like him very much and ride on his back, their tinkling language causing him to chuckle, low and gruff, now and then.
Overall, however, he appears quite solemn. ]
2. Caer Scima
[ This castle is not half as gay or vibrant as its twin, but it is dark and clever and the shadows shrink from the Lion as he pads through, watching their own feast of welcome before moving on. Allied as the fairies say he is with Caer Glaem, there are those here who yet deserve a chance to prove that they can think for themselves away from their cruel mistress.
The High-Queen does not know he is here, for he moves in rather curious ways. ]

She approaches him, curtseying. Note how she is still in her Narnian clothes, Aslan]
Aslan.
no subject
[ He pauses when she approaches, something of a surprised smile in his tone; his senses are somewhat dampened here and he cannot tell where the children are, if they are here at all. Strange. That she is still wearing Narnian clothing is ... curious, for the moment. ]
Come closer, Susan. You need not keep your distance from me.

Obediently she approaches him, looking deep into his eyes. Feeling his wildness and kindness, and she boldly rests her hand in his mane]
I didn't think I would ever see you again.
no subject
[ His presence is enough to soothe the wild creatures here, evidenced as fairies calm down twicefold where they have flown away to the rafters with Susan's approach. Yet Aslan himself, though pleased to see her, is troubled. ]
Walk with me awhile, we must talk. Should you find your brothers and sister, you will need to instruct them, also.
no subject
I will do my best, Aslan. Just tell me what to say.

I am much diminished, Susan. Where once I saw great leagues, far across the waves, now I am sundered too, just as you are. There is a land away north where dark creatures roam, ruled by a High-Queen, and I do not believe her mercy toward those she houses in her domain is true. I have been there this night, I have walked unseen through her husband's home. It is not a place for wholesome creatures and many there yet are.
[ Concern paints his pensive words, soft in their emphasis. ]
There is a deep and ancient magic in this land, one that even I cannot overrule. You must be careful, Dear Heart, and so must your family. Careful and brave twicefold, more than you ever were during all your trials in Narnia.

She thinks about what she knows of fairies. She was never given into fantasy, but she did learn a bit while she was a queen in Narnia]
We will be, Aslan. We always manage to keep each other safe.
no subject
[ His golden eyes rest on her, seeing not only her outward appearance but looking to the state of her heart; inviting her to speak. ]
no subject
Are we going to be asked to leave this place once we've done what they want? Will we be sent home?
no subject
[ Which is all he will say to that, his gaze never wandering from hers. The grief of leaving Narnia is still fresh for her, he does not need to be himself to see and understand that. ]
I know the language spoken here, it came from the land long ago, before my eyes ever opened. I know the manner of creatures here too, what ventures into the wilderlands may remain in them. But, Susan, this land will eat your heart if you let it. Neither good nor evil, it simply is.
no subject
I'll watch out for Lucy. She's much more likely to fall in love with this place. I'll be sure her heart isn't eaten. I won't let this place hurt her.

Neria Surana wanders the halls as well, ever watchful, for she does not trust the people in this place any more than she would trust the nobility of any hall. She has had experience with these things - fleeting as it was - and she knows that wherever she goes, she will be looked down upon by those above her. She is an elf, she is a mage; one of these things will be reviled and hated. But she carries both like a cloak and she is unapologetic for what and who she is. The few who have spoken to her here at Caer Glaem seem more interested in what she can offer than in her status (for now), and that is something she can work with, at least.
But there are odd creatures here, things she's never seen before. A spell wisp wraps itself around her in loops, casting a faint light in its wake, and she gives a wary glance over at the lion who pads near her.
She's even more startled to hear him suddenly chuckle.]
...Did you just laugh?
no subject
I'd not heard the joke before.
[ And the fairies are dearly cheerful little things, he doesn't mind them perching on his mane. ]
no subject
I've never heard a lion speak before.
[But then she remembers herself and she tips her head politely.]
I apologize. You probably have heard the same many times before me.
no subject
I have, but I don't mind. Well met and good evening, my lady. I am Aslan.
no subject
I am called Neria. It is a pleasure to meet you, Aslan. You're the most remarkable thing I've seen here.
[And that's saying something, considering.]
You were drawn here by the faeries as well, I take it?
omg???? also 1
Aslan. [This time he can approach, knowing his faith has not wavered.]
<3!
[ There's warmth in his voice and the breath which pours over the boy, this king of Narnia. Very pleased is Aslan to see him. ]
Rise and walk with me awhile. The night is young and the revellers deeply at their business.
no subject
I would gladly walk with you. [He has a few questions, all dancing at the tip of his tongue, but he manages to keep them in for the moment.] Have you just arrived?

[ Saash is perched up higher than the floor, along one of those long, empty corridors that make up the castle now that most all are at the feast, up on a window sill. Like any other cat, the noise and crowd of the celebration mostly offended her, so she left.
She hadn't expected to find a lion out here, though.
But then, land full of fairy tales. Should she really be surprised? ]
!!!!! option 1, also sorry for the c/p icons ;;;
[Whatever he thought the rest of today might have held, it was dashed the moment he arrived, not in dreary England with the train station, but a strange place with all manner of people and fae. Weren't he and his siblings to return to England? Would Aslan not have said otherwise if they are meant to go elsewhere?
All questions and thoughts die in his throat when he catches sight of the golden warmth that is Aslan, the majesty nearly making him tremble. For while he had never expected to see Aslan in this form again, it does not surprise him in the least. If they are needed once more, and he will gladly do what is asked of him.
He drops to one knee in a deep bow, relief, joy, and wonder in his voice.]
Aslan.
Oooh, option 1
Greetings, Aslan.
[If the Lion is here, Caspian has faith that this is a place he should be as well.]
2
Eventually he finds an out of the way courtyard with a small fountain in the middle. Beleg settles himself on a bench half hidden in the shadows and looks skywards, hoping to see the stars, unfamiliar as they are.]
oh my godddd
Of course she approaches him. Uncertainty will always give way to boldness in her life and somehow, she feels comforted by his presence even before anything else. ]
Hullo?
