haha good!
How can it be real? Bilbo, there isn't even a mark where my wound used to be, and I know it was there. It nearly killed me.
[A look of dawning horror crosses his face.] ...Is that it, then? Are we all dead?
no subject
We are not dead so banish the thought. Besides, if we really are dead then what did I die from? Certainly not Smaug-- [Because he remembers very clearly watching the dragon fly away with the intent to burn everyone in Laketown away. Bofur, Kili, Fili, Bard...
He swallows dryly, shaking his head.] ... No. No we aren't dead. I imagine being dead would be much more peaceful, but I am far from being at peace right now. [At least he hopes so. What did he know anyways?
Bilbo moves away from Kili back to the bench where he left his map and holds it out for Kili to see.] Look, this is a completely new world! If I could just find a library maybe I could make better sense of all this...
no subject
[Hey, it could totally happen. Kili has no idea how dragonfire incineration works, though he imagines it would be very quick.
He glances down at the map and gives a vague sort of shrug.] You don't think it's Aman? Maybe...the elvish part of it.
no subject
Bilbo frowns, peering down at the map again.] I would think we'd see more Elves here if that were the case...
[But he sighs, almost defeated by how perplexing this all was and folds the map away to tuck into his coat pocket.] Grumbling over a map won't do us much good, unfortunately. Have you eaten yet?
no subject
Though he imagined the Halls of Mandos to be a bit different. Less...flowery.
He hesitates a moment before answering.] Aye. [A pause.] But I could fit more, if you haven't eaten.
no subject
[He pats his pocket once more to reassure himself, fingers brushing over the space where the Arkenstone lay under fabric.] No, no I'm quite fine now. Nerves have curbed my appetite. [He pauses.]
Well... with that settled you can help me find the library. I'm sure there must be one here and from there surely we can find some answers.
no subject
Of all the places, you want to go to a library?
[Can you be any more boring, Bilbo?]
no subject
Do you have a better idea?
[That probably isn't the best thing to ask Kili of all Dwarves, but...]
no subject
Well, explore, of course!

Do we have to go to the library?
no subject
Yes we have to go. The library will have maps, much more in detail than this one and information about this strange world. With proper information we can prepare ourselves.
no subject
[He'll go along with you, Bilbo, but don't expect him to stop whining.]
