[Shards of a sacred gemstone, unfamiliar realms, names that Fili has never heard... He may be slightly more overwhelmed than he's willing to let on; there is a town left in a bind in the world where he should be, there is a dragon roused from his slumber. There is his brother.

Here there is a war between strangers -- no shortage of food and drink, though, he notes as he wanders these halls. If he couldn't smell roasts and all sorts of dishes (and those smells are tempting, absent from the Company's travels for some time), he might think that he must have fallen asleep after the night they've had. The sea of faces he sees blurs together.

Then one face comes into focus, and he strides straight towards it, past all others until he and the impressive spread on the table can compete for Kili's attention.]

Kili!

[He calls out to him from the other side of a fruit bowl and passes a platter of sliced meat before he reaches Kili. His brother looks... himself. Completely well, even though he'd still had to rest on this same day, recovering from his wound.]
kilimanjaro: (bwahahaha)

[Kili glances up at the sound of his name, eyes immediately finding his brother and brightening all the more. Well, at least if this is a dream, it's a good one. But then again, Fili has usually played some kind of role in his dreams.]

Fili! You have got to try some of this pork. At least, I think it's pork. Tastes like pork.

[He grins and holds his loaded fork out to his brother.]

[It smells mouth-wateringly good, much more appealing than fish, and Fili glances at the fork thrust into his face. But instead of accepting the offered mouthful, he takes Kili by the arm, and his gaze leaves the fork, travelling down to Kili's thigh, where his healing wound should be.

Kili's return to full strength is incredible. He'd been pale as he lay resting on the table in Bard's home, the echo of his fever in his voice when there were words from him again and no more screams. Now there is colour back in his cheeks, his voice is steady, and his appetite is plain proof that he must be feeling vastly better.

The wonders of elvish medicine, just as Oin said. Fili blinks and swallows as his relief burns hot in his eyes and his nose and his throat. Quickly, he leans in to get Kili's fork into his mouth, straightening up afterwards with a smile to give his brother.]

-- It's pork.
kilimanjaro: (cookies :))

[Kili grins when Fili finally acquieses and replies, though the way he obviously checks Kili's leg makes him wonder a bit.

If it was a dream, then the damage to his leg wouldn't matter, right? Neither of them would care. But Fili looked at it and the relief in his eyes was so obvious that it makes something stir uncomfortably in his stomach.]

Come sit. [He moves over to make room for his brother, patting the bench.]
