As Igor says: What goes around comes around.

So Gendry hasn't really got a solid bead on Susan just yet. He finds her common in an approachable way, since she isn't like other Earth people who are just throwing a million references a minute at him. He definitely gets the kindhearted nature going for her, which unfortunately is not something he really highly values because he doesn't see the world (his, this, any) as having a place for soft hearts.

But he also gets the responsible older sibling vibe too, which is something he's seen at home (Jeyne Heddle) and here (Sigrid). He certainly has a lot of respect for girls like that who are toughing it out to look out for others, even if means getting yourself stupidly sucked into some fairy realm for their sake! So yeah, he think she's alright and hopes she has an easy time for it, because he hates being right.

Stiles is infuriating. Gendry doesn't really know why he likes Stiles because even if he's funny, it's not so much because of anything Stiles says but the utter confidence Stiles seems to have in being funny. He gripes about the Station, but he secretly admired the way Stiles seemed to be able to use all these unfathomable devices with such utter ease. There is certainly a jealousy inherent in their relationship because Gendry knows Stiles is a lot smarter than him. Sure, Gendry could crush him in a fight, but Stiles has basically every other advantage over Gendry there could be.

But he likes Stiles despite it all, because he does seem like a person who is just a friend and he's rather used to being with guys that insult one another as a kind of comradery. He certainly feels more comradery with Stiles than he did with any of the 'brothers' he left behind in Westeros.

Sadly it's been awhile since John and Gendry chatted last, so there's not a lot to say. Though he does know what guns are! So the next time John mentions them, he'll have opinions on them. (For the record, Gendry finds them fearsome weapons, but so is poison, and that's only used by women. So, you know, not points in your favor, bub.)
