BOLIN STILL THINKS KAL IS COOL AS HECK. And he respects his opinions and leadership so much, it's crazy. Kaldur is really reasonable and responsible and level-headed no matter what's going on, and being the kind of guy who can't remain objective to save his life and being terrible at confrontation and stuff, Bolin thinks that it's just super super admirable. He trusts Kal with his back as readily and easily as he'd trust Korra or Mako (albeit probably with less telepathic eyebrow communication, but that's an eyebrow-brother thing anyway). I MEAN SURE HE'S EASY TO PASS OUT THE GOOD FAITH BUT IT DOESN'T MAKE THE FAITH ANY LESS POWERFUL.
Kal is Good People he is just all-around such a great guy!! And he makes Bolin want to try harder to work on his problems and become a more reliable dude, so he can be more useful to Korra and to this weird new Krew thing that they've all got going on in Each in general. lafdsml plus he knows u have a sense of humor kaldur. now whenever he talks to other people about you he's just gonna be super upbeat and positive about it. WHAT A GREAT GUY YEAH HE'S SO FUN...
ALSO HE WANTS TO HUG THE HELL OUT OF HIM. Like I hope there is/was a point in Redgate downtime where Kal got done pulling himself together post trauma-sharing and rounded a corner and was immediately hugged. BRING IT IN KALDUR IT'S ALL GONNA BE OKAY. WE'VE SHARED AT LEAST THE GIST OF OUR SAD BACKSTORIES BRO THAT MEANS WE ARE FRIEND.
