Time to re-explore that childhood (or get one for the first time). Rules are as simple as usual!

You're Just An:

1. Adult mind in the wrong body - looks like you really shouldn't have drank that potion, after all! Better hope nobody sees you like this, and that the effects aren't permanent...

2. Adorable bitty all rounder - Maybe it was an accident, maybe not. But your size is your age, with all the mental attributes that come with it.

Okay, So Wat Do?:

1. Back to school! First day back, middle of term with a small bullying problem? Time for your bitty to get some edumacation. Play with some friends or get the teacher involved! If your adult instincts are still all there, maybe you could play yourself up as a child genius; who knows? Someone might catch you out...

2. It's adventure time!~ Them kids have all the imagination. Quickly! Your damsel in distress needs rescuing from the dragon! It's time to kiss the bride! Play time has no rules, and neither does this prompt- except for curfew. Mother dearest always said to be back before dark.

3. Gots a boo boo! Oh dear, looks like someone's gone and skinned their knee. This requires a serious operation of silly jokes and coddling, before those tears start to fall and never seem to stop.

4. I think I love you! Young love is just so beautiful. Maybe you're pulling pigtails, so to speak. Maybe you have a crush on your teacher, and you just HAVE to get it out there. The clearest sign of love is always a note, however- just make sure to make that 'yes' box really big, so they know exactly where to tick.

5. They went away. We all lose loved ones, sometimes. Maybe the rents have just split, maybe your best friend is moving away. Maybe the only reply that can really be given is that "they're in heaven now, sweetheart". Whatever the reason, they're just not there, and you want to know why.

6. Off to the circus! Or the theme park. Or the aquarium. It's babies day out, with all the crack, fluff, and panic inducing moments implied. Pet a lion! Go on the Ferris wheel! Just try not to lose your adult companion, or things could become dicey.

7. You're in big doo-doo, mister. You missed curfew by ten minutes. Your Sunday best is covered in mud and god knows what else, and you let rip that new swear word you picked up from that friend you're not allowed to play with. You bet your ass you'll be in the naughty corner for weeks.

8. Big ball of FUBAR. You went and got yourself lost, at no fault of your own. The big kids pushed you down the well, and left you there. All you know is you're in a huge amount of trouble, and a little kindness is going to have to go a long way to get you safe.

9. Go the fuck to sleep. Dreamland is good, trust me. No really- don't get out of bed, you're fine right. There. Its time for bed, or to prepare for it! Bath time doesn't mean run down the halls naked, but if you catch a quick break, I'm sure you can achieve great things.

10. Time to shine! This is your big moment, right here. That dance recital you've been working hard on, the Christmas play, and you're the tree. This is a big point in your life, a time where you can show off your skills and make history! This is it. You're making it happen.

[ Maglor follows in Legolas' train as much for love of his brother as he does for loyalty to the Woodland Prince (He will be king, one day, Maglor knows, whether he will or nil - the natives honor him as one already) - left to his own devices, he would prefer to wander on his own (the Sea calls, although he knows there is no Straight Road to take, nor jewel beneath its waves). He has started already, quietly but surely divorcing himself from day to day things. Legolas will be well without him, and he has Celegorm well in hand.

He still sings for the company, but perhaps he does so less than before. He comes to find Legolas today to ask leave to return to the Station for a time, and expecting the young haryon, bold and bright and strong, he finds something else entirely ]

Er... Legolas? Is that you?

[ His father is tall, very tall, so Legolas is quite used to tipping his head far, very far to look at him when he's on his own two feet. But this elf yet is even taller, different than any elves of Mirkwood, and completely unfamiliar to him. Still, never one to shy away from any an elf, Legolas stands there with eyes blown wide in a great wonder. Lips parted, forming an O in his surprise. As free in all of his expressions and reactions as ever, even that thousand years later.

Some things, Maglor might soon find out, never changed about the Woodland Prince. ]

You know my name! Yet yours is unknown to me and I thought I had known all of the Woodland Realm.

[ This forest ain't Mirkwood, Legolas. ]

[ ................... ]

Ah...

[ Scrambling for the refuge of manners to cover sheer bemusement, Maglor folds himself to his knees and bows to him ]

Well that might be because I am not from the Woodland Realm, little prince. [ Most accurate use of that title yet observes an equally dumbstruck Caranthir ] Maglor I am, and I ... am but a simple traveller. Well met. [ since when have you been a simple anything? Asks Curufin incredulously ]

[ A traveller! And so Legolas's interest grows. As far as he recalls, there is not an elf among their people who has seen much beyond their woods. Woods so very similar to these, for as long as they remain away from the spider nests.

Wide eyed and now smiling, allowed to look ahead normally now as Maglor crouches to his level, of course the next question is the most natural for the ever curious. That he's not of the Woodland Realm, that... well, it should be concerning yet it's not. His curiosity overweights any possible worries that could have otherwise arisen. ]

Well met! [ Ever... most direct and familiar with all too. ] Have you seen much of the world beyond, Master Maglor?

[ So cute and that would be the Ambarussa piping up, thus accounting for all of Maglor's currently active ghosts ]

I suppose I have, little prince. [ he agrees with a small smile, falling back to the old habits of the elder brother and foster father ]

I have seen wood and hill and sea and plain. You speak as if you have not yet had a chance to wander far?

[ There and back Legolas rolls on the heels of his feet, fingers of his hands weaving together at the small of his back. It's great patience and manners he's showing to the stranger turning not so much, that he first answers the question posed to him instead of badgering him with questions with no consideration.

Yet it's almost palpable still, just beneath the surface of it all, that his desires run differently than what he forces himself to do. ]

Mirkwood and the Woodland Realm have been my home, and should I travel I would like to with ada! [ Legolas shrugs a shoulder. ] But an Elvenking he is, his people he cannot abandon for my whims.

[ There's no bitterness or even much sadness to him over the fact. He might crave to see the world, but he loves his father most of all and there are many things still to keep him occupied in Mirkwood. ]

So I stay and help him!

Ah, I see! [ An eyebrow crooks up, and Maglor nods, as solemn as if he were speaking to a great lord (he is, of course, if only one much younger, right now) ]

Your ada is blessed indeed, to have so willing a helper, and so patient a one as well! Perhaps when you are older he will have more time to go travelling with you. In the meantime, little prince, I am afraid all I have to offer is tales of the wider world, if it please you.

[ Maglor says as if that all is too little, when the truth is: it's far more than he could ever ask for. Never the thought to set out and explore on his own crossed his mind. It was him and his father always, so to hear now... well, it'll satisfy his curiosity for the moment at the very least! Something to tide him over before they can travel, himself and Thranduil.

Though he does mimic Maglor's attitude from his own side, all prince like but for the twinkle in his eye that betrays him. Legolas considers it all carefully, then: ]

I think it is pleasing enough to be offered in place of travel itself! Please share your stories, Master Maglor.

[ And without any further ceremony, Legolas plops down right where he stands. ]

Right here, little prince? [ Maglor crooks an eyebrow but obediently settles himself on the ground. ]

Very well, where would you like to go in song first, then? To the mountains? To the Sea?

[ He flusters ever so slightly at the question. Terrible choice of a place coming from a prince! But even so, he sticks to his choice and nods first in reply to that question. It doesn't really need an answer either way. Though his cheeks stay a little pink now. ]

To the mountains! How high do they go? Are there trees at their tops? Can you see all of the Middle Earth when you climb?

[ Million questions per hour, yo. ]

[ Maglor laughs softly. ]

So many questions! And your answer is 'it depends on the mountain'!

The only place you can see all of Midle-earth from is nowhere in Middle-earth itself - but they say from Taniquetil's summit Lord Manwe and Lady Varda can see all that passes in the lands below. And the summit is so high that it has no trees for it is ever covered in snow - and so we call the mountain also Oiolosse, the Ever-white.
