Venison is. Venison blood, not so much. We need human blood. It's how we were created. Unfortunately, my brother has... issues.

[Belittling Stefan was one thing, and he'd do it no matter where he was, but he preferred to save the really horrible stuff for when he was actually here. So Ariadne would only get teasing little nibbles of info on Stefan. Unless his brother somehow showed up.]

It's like living off rice cakes and tofu.

I don't know. I never had the pleasure last time. It's one of those things I'd sort of like to see someone else attempt first. Just in case elf blood eats through my intestines or something gross and completely unappetizing.

... Would you be able to heal from that?

Possibly. I haven't exactly experimented with drinking corrosive materials. As long as it leaves my heart in check...

If it was just corrosive, I would think it would. If it was poisonous, then you might have a problem.

Depends on the poison. Not much that can take me out.

[Werewolf venom was about it. Even vervain worked its way out somewhat quickly.]

Well, this is already theoretical. If their blood could melt through your intestines, who knows? It could be poisonous to vampires, too.

Which is why some other adventurous fanger should get the honors. If they survive, then hey, look at that, I've got a hemoglobin variety bar.

In that case, I'm very weak against blindfolds and silk ties and women in lingerie. Cripplingly so.

Magic books don't mean squat to vampires, little missy. We can't do magic. i was hoping it was a ring or something an undead body could use.

[boutant]

You couldn't do magic in your world, [ she corrects. ] You might be able to do it just fine here.

[ That said, note to self: keep magical items away from Damon. ]

[He eyed her, reaching out and tapping at her nose.]

There are some things that just can't be fiddled with. Vampires can't do magic because their ties as witches to... nature or whatever it is witches are tied to, if that's what they are before they die, is cut when they die. Just like we can't procreate, either. But hey, if the rules have changed, I wouldn't mind seeing if that one has. What do you say, sunshine?
