While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

Current Location: He'll be returning to the Station shortly.
Planned Travel: I THOUGHT THIS MEANT TYPE OF TRAVEL. Jason will be trying to get all over, though he'll be considerably reluctant to go into Seelie lands. He'll try to know the in and outs of the Unseelie lands as much as possible.
General overview of recent events: Jason is a new arrival, and while he originally intended to stay off the battlefield, inspiration from Saber and news that they were fighting to keep the end of existence from happening got him thrown into the battle. The fact that the Seelie are self-justifying (in his eyes) hasn't helped. He's participated in the frontlines twice, and he's recently finished a quest.
Recent open threads/posts: Here at the second battle, but I am 100% game for posting up an open log somewhere to start something new!

Who are your character's known associates/friends/enemies?: He is mostly friends with Hiro. He's training under Lemina for some magic, and he's got a budding interest in Loki (though he doesn't know if he should trust him). He also was one of those who obviously had no problem following Saber's orders. He has a lot of other acquaintances at the moment from intro stuff, and I'd be interested in taking that further!
What notable events has my character been a part of?: Both of the recent battles. While a normal human (and easily seen as such), he was a competent fighter running around in a red mask.
What can other characters easily ICly learn about your character?: That he's a vigilante. That he thinks that death is sometimes/often a necessary price. That he's familiar with superheroes and their perspectives.
What information is limited to specific CR?: That he's died and come back. Who he was before he died. Where he's come from, though this could also fall under "easily learn" because Jason carries the chip of "I grew up on the mean streets of Gotham" like a chip on his shoulder at times.
What information is my character willing to share/can be readily discovered if another works to uncover it?: Things about Batman. His mission back home. How he died. His actual views on killing not being as "just take them all down" posturing as he claims. He's conflicted as hell, and he hates himself.

• Bettering himself as a fighter in this world! Jason will be learning magic because that is now available to him as an option, and what better way to give Bruce the middle finger. Plus, it's basically necessary here.


• Getting the lay of the land.


• Babysitting Hiro.


• Participating in a number of the available events.


• Boosting his intel. I would ideally like Jason to feel comfortable with the ins and outs of the world, and be able to identify things by their rulers, alliances, and understand some of the underlying motivations. He is a detective's protege, after all.

If Jason would like to become a formal part of the Unseelie military either as an officer or a part of her strike team, the opportunity is there! I would also like to explore the possibility of Jason and Saber working towards something akin to friendship. Saber unfortunately, doesn't do friends well.

Becoming a more formal part is up in the air, as he doesn't want to have anything tying him down right away. He'll show up for battles if needed, but he's reluctant to do that. That said, that might change with development! His desire to follow her is largely part of what we discussed before, and seeing her in action boosted that willingness. Even if being an official part of it still grants him freedom, he's ... weird sometimes ...

I am also interested in a friendship between them! Jason himself is bad at friendship in the way that he doesn't think anyone wants to be his friend, so it could be a slowly building thing.

ALSO ON TOP OF THIS, since I got approval from the mods and hitting you up seems like a good idea: Jason will be seeking out the means to take out strongly influencing Seelie people. I've been given information on 2/3 of them (they aren't PCs or active NPCs, for the record), and he'd probably talk to Saber about this goal and how he wants to weaken the Seelie court by cutting off some of their legs.

I'm intending for this to be a lengthy quest for him, but she will almost always be one of his first places to start for where to go on this. I don't know if I'm intending to have him taken care of these people in the timeskip or just having started (I need to break down the details), but that's going to be a thing. It'll be the big goal he has in mind over the year, and I think Saber would be 100% aware of this assassin-like tendency of his. (Only he's assigning those people to himself, so.)

If he's traveling, I would love for Alice to interact with him more! She leans neutral, but still is pretty loyal to her Unseelie friends and a team.

It's all good, I've been here almost a year and I still forget every so often. She'll be hunting swans and check out the Tourney, but also be in Doanna in July when the hanging of shardbearers happen.

Any of those are good! I actually fully intend to have Jason do the Doanna thing now (he'll be investigating with Natasha), so they could probably have the most interesting discussion there. We can have them run into each other/say they ran into each other at the other locations (say because it might be easier to handwave some of this).

The Barrel (located in southern Aghmhor) has a library that could cover some of those things and a couple of educated individuals who wouldn't mind filling in the blanks. Betweeen Waver (gordianknots) and Rin (this character), it might be a good opportunity to catch up on the history of the world. There's a log up for the entire duration of the time skip starting with the opening in March, so Jason is free to have heard about it from someone like Rin.

I really do like their intro thread (even if I've been a bit lagged), so you can assume she mentioned it casually there. She could also help him learn magic, provided he's willing to come to her, and create items called Mystic Codes to help him practice. Things like a glove to work on fire magic is something she's done already, but there can be more creative options if you like. She's an official court magus, so her name is known as a magic user.

Alternatively she could recommend him to the Magic Guild by Lemina :)

Jason might end up just taking on a whole lot of teachers (he does it in canon), and at least he won't kill these ones. If you don't mind him having learned from Rin, that's fine! I will definitely be throwing him into that log soon for information. As for gaining her as a teacher (if she wouldn't mind being one of a few!), he can maybe contact her sometime soon because of her official title?

Right now she's away from The Barrel up until like after the first week of March due to a quest so anytime after that should be good. Otherwise they can meet up somewhere else.

Is there a specific thing he's looking for magic-wise from her?

With Bellamy heading over Seelie lines, she's probably going to ask him to pilfer information on the court there, which means Clarke will definitely be researching the various sides of the war to see the bias between the two courts. Which means she'll absolutely follow up with Jason to compare notes!!

Tomato also mentioned that Jason might be an interested sparring teacher/partner for instructing them on sword fighting? Which I would be suuuper into if you're still up for it!

Jason would definitely be interested in both of those things! I was going to hit you up, but you got to me first, so yay. If you'd like him, he is good for teaching things. Jason will be trying to get the information he can from the neutral faction of people, too, which will provide a whole different perspective of things!

AS A NOTE, he is kind of an unreliable narrator, as Clarke will come to find. His notes may occasionally provide a different perspective (IE Jason's perspective alone) on all the matters. I'll let you know OOCly what is definitely what Jason believes if you think that might be a problem. He's just ... yes. That's a thing he does.

Definitely down for learning from Jason! I think they'll be receiving a bit of instruction from Katsa along the way as well, so they'll be able to merge fighting styles which I think would be pretty awesome.

Clarke's also going to be heading to neutral parties + both Seelie and Unseelie ones. I have (tentative) plans with Waver, and then she'll find alternative means for Unseelie bias information. So they'll have plenty of info to exchange.

And that's totally fine! Clarke's info definitely won't be totally impartial, though she'll probably take standard info down and leave little notes in the margin if she writes it out, haha. But unreliable narration is totally fine with me, should make things a bit more interesting! *^*

Well Howard is probably going to be working with Hiro at some point throughout the year, but in general these two should quite obviously meet.

Howard too will be travelling across the lands, so they should run into each other at some point.
