Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

Planned Travel: He'll probably hop around a few places since he has a teleportation ring! (So far can go to the Southwoods, White Citadel, Cothromach, CG, Station.)
General overview of recent events: Recently got involved in the battles defending CG and also trying to take out the jabberwock. Accidentally electrocuted people. Prior to that tried breaking into unseelie territory to get to his twin and was caught.

Who are your character's known associates/friends/enemies?: Kelsi and Sharpay are from home, and he's relatively close to/comfortable with Leo, Bolin, Mako, Korra, Lancelot, Rachel, Katsa, Jack Frost, oh gosh I can't remember everybody but he also has decent rapport with Castle and he's growing friendships/warming up to Dorian, Pod, Rin, Minako and Joshua. THERE ARE OTHERS I CANNOT THINK sorry y'all.
What notable events has my character been a part of?: Since his entrance in-game he's been involved in the battle at Cothromach, the hunting of the White Hart (which didn't end well for him…) and now the last big battle.
What can other characters easily ICly learn about your character?: He's 18, he's from the modern world, he's a dance student at Juilliard, his best friend is Kelsi, he's really into the arts/starred in several musicals back home, truthfully it's not hard to learn a lot about him that easily.
What information is limited to specific CR?: His water magic, that he has a twin sister who happens to be in the Unseelie court!
What information is my character willing to share/can be readily discovered if another works to uncover it?: Some of his own insecurities/inferiority issues and his sexuality, those are literally the only things he probably doesn't offer to talk about himself.

• Start gaining ranks and generally being more involved. I'm going to send him on a few quests during the timeskip. I'd also like him to maybe start getting involved more with the PR/political side of the Seelie court.


• Participating in various events as presented on the timeskip timeline


• Travel! He'll bounce to the White Citadel and Cothromach a few times during the timeskip to visit with CR and also in August he and Kelsi are splitting up in their travels. In Septemberish he'll be going on a spirits-wilderness journey with Jack.


• Icly finding a way to keep up with his Unseelie CR.

With Kelsi and Ryan popping by the Coth, it seems a shame for Dorian not to take advantage of that and invite them to make a musical for the theatre at some point.

I know Kat was sort of planning to leave Kelsi at Coth too around August-ish which is when Ryan would leave her but if we could make it work that would be actually amazing? I have plans for him to head out there around May too to check things out and see a few people anyway. Let me talk to Kat and see what we can do because that would fantastic.

Yes^^ Depending on how the meeting goes, she may let him know that she's given safe haven to Kelsi, and therefore him (since she knows Kelsi and Ryan are practically tied at the hip).

I have a feeling a lot of what's going to drive him to talk to Saber is going to be making sure she's not going to hurt Kelsi (since he knows Kelsi's basically over the moon about Saber) so if that icly comes up that'll be fantastic. I'm just jazzed because I've been trying to find a reason for him to tag Saber forever and haven't so this is exciting.

I know I am slow as balls at times but man, this CR would be fun... especially now that things are a little murkier as far as Kayneth being fuckin' great at magic.

Slow is never a problem with me, as you've seen I will backtag forever. But YES? Yes please? I keep trying to figure out ways for them to thread again and start building their CR but timeskip would be a fantastic way to do it! What kind of plans do you have for Kayneth thus-far anyway?

Not many! He's probably going to spend a few months around the Citadel recovering from the clusterfuck that was the battle, but he is probably going to visit, like, every festival, too.

Ryan can fast-travel to the WC since he's been there before and he'll be doing the festival things whenever he can so even if we don't have anything concrete we can just have them run into each other and mutually be like "???" And he'd be more likely to approach somebody he knows anyway so Kayneth's chances are p good to have a ridiculous teenage boy bothering him.

Does he have a communications device for his group of friends already? I know some characters are having trouble getting stuff for their pals so I thought I'd throw Rin at you especially since he has Kelsi and Sharpay here. Rin knows 2/3 of that group so she'd be glad to get him set up provided he hasn't been set up yet. She definitely would feel for a sister in another Court and would love to help any way she can, maybe she can bring that up to him sometime?

AH I was going to go back and comment on your thread that I want to somehow do more stuff with Rin and Ryan! Also the Barrel is one of the places he hasn't hit so he could in theory just wander over there whenever he felt like it :|a

He doesn't! I just hit up Rachel's thread to see if he can get something from Hermione because a handful of his Seelie CR has the compasses and could theoretically tell him, but if Rin offered somehow first he'd pay her pretty decently for it (especially since he's really concerned with keeping up with Sharpay and Katsa in Unseelie-land and Kelsi in Seelie-land.) They should figure out a way to talk about the sibling thing though because nobody really understands :(

OH ALSO HEY MEI since you are here and we're talking about it, I was just talking on my plurk about Hiro potentially looking into making off-network communication devices too for the Unseelie side since somebody brought it up to me and he'd most likely try once the lockets broke, especially since he's getting involved in Saber's R&D project. Sin mentioned to me that Rin's been creating off-network devices and someone else said she installed fax-machine-type things in the spires, so idk if you'd be interested but maybe they can form some kind of CR too?

No worries, if he's getting it through Hermione then there's no need. It's just an offer she would make towards people she knows would have trouble so if things fall through with her, poke me and we'll make it happen towards communication things.

I was planning on getting Rin involved in the R&D project a bit so they would definitely meet there. She can definitely help him get around in the area too, as I remember you were talking about having Hiro go visit Thrall's post in Nimh Gleane so if that happens, she would be looking over him. If Hiro wants to make something neat that could be used (you know other than a locket or compass or crystal), she can definitely enchant them to work. Could be a good opportunity to mass produce something among Unseelie if you want. Maybe she'll trust him enough to pass the skill onto him entirely, provided his magic training goes well enough.

I see he also will be involved in the Magic Guild. Rin will (hopefully) have some presence there with her heir, a seven year old boy named Scian. So Hiro can have some CR with that NPC if you want.

Pod will definitely want to keep in touch! She'll be doing a lot of traveling herself, but making her new home base Cothromach.

I wish I had more definite ideas to offer but I think I'll be winging a lot of things.

He has a few friends that're settling at Cothromach (including Kelsi, actually) so he'll be out there on and off! Plus Dorian's hiring Kels and Ry to work on a musical for the theatre there so I'm sure he'll run into Pod at some point and we can work something out for them to see each other :D

Awesome. Pod likes them both, and would probably give in and allow dance lessons to happen by then, if Ryan wants to teach her still. And she'll be a very enthusiastic, if not knowledgeable, audience for their musical, if they want a test audience.
