TEST DRIVE MEME
Considering apping to EACHDRAIDH? Why not give the setting a test run here! OPTIONAL SCENARIOS 01. ARRIVING IN THE DRABWURLD. The grand feast is held in the Eaglais clearing. The food is good, the music is sweet, and the evening is lit by gentle fairy lights. All Shardbearers of all courts are summoned here under a universal truce for the evening. Nature itself has shaped itself into tables, chairs, and long couches so that the new guests can rest. When they’re ready to call it a night, Shardbearers are brought to their court strongholds in a one-way trip by fairies and imps. 02. NETWORK Take advantage of your Locket! The network can be accessed by any Shardbearer with a locket or shardless characters with enchanted devices, and is a quick way to meet new people and discuss the state of the world. 03. WILDCARD. Your own scenario! Explore the Drabwurld! There are lots of places to go, and plenty of trouble to get into in them! |

NETWORK/LOCKET - VOICE
WILDCARD
locket - voice.
Mr President?
no subject
Lynch? Ronan?
( sounds of fumbling, because gansey is getting up, ready to go find him, excitement clear in his voice. he sounds like he's bursting with things to say. )
Where are you? Stay where you are, I'll come find you!
no subject
trying to swallow down the giddiness of gansey being here. )
Yeah, Lynch-Ronan –
( exhale. get a handle on things. )
I'm not going anywhere, slow down. Are you okay?
no subject
( he's on the move but ronan has not told him where he is yet. he stops. )
Where am I going? Ronan, tell me where you are before I get lost.
no subject
( and he tells gansey where he his. )
– don't get lost.
no subject
( okay, it's a little far, and he gets there a little out of breath, but that's not because he was running or anything. )
Ronan!
no subject
does he tell gansey about time, that he took too long? ronan had begun to drill
it into himself that he was without his friends, without gansey especially, and suddenly
he can't really joke about it, not now he's faced with him.
he flings his arms around gansey's shoulders, a little awkwardly,
fists bunching at his back, and opts for saying nothing. )
no subject
Hey. It's good to see you.
no subject
they don't hug often. it's not – them. they've never had to rely on physicality
to get through their friendship. gansey would often be in the next room over whilst
ronan sat with the door shut, and it was enough to just know that if he stepped out
gansey would be there with his notebooks or working on his scale model of their
town. he steps back, scratches his collarbone awkwardly, exhales. )
– when did you get here? And how did you not have a pen with you?
no subject
Not very long ago. They didn't know if any of you would be here, I kept asking.
( masking his worry with an awe and fascination for the place worked until he had time to think. he'd done his best not to. )
And I did have a pen! ( the story of how he lost said pen could have been funny or adventurous, but it's not. a sheepish expression flickers on his face, and then is gone. ) I lost it in high grass. Or maybe something stole it, I'm still not entirely sure.
no subject
ronan's grin is lopsided. as always, exposed teeth make him look like something
dangerous – like a shark or a wolf – but if you know him, and gansey does (better
than anyone), there is a warmth buried beneath it. )
Maybe something made you lose it.
( he shakes his head. )
This place - it's like someone took Cabeswater and made it into a nation.
no subject
It is. It's much vaster than I thought at first, too.
( he's not yet thinking about distances between them, simply about the scope of the place and all the nooks and crannies that might be hiding some delightful trick, some new critter or plant with magical properties. )

And I don't mean to bombard you, but I do have another question if that's alright.
no subject
Go on. Hit me with it.

That's pretty much only putting out an open call from the network, sorry.
[There are ways to sense another's homeworld, with a great deal of effort and training, but that only works if you're in person already. Kinda misses the point.]

Are you with the university, by the way?

( a beat. )
Or it might be too big for that.
no subject
It's Dorian Gray, by the way. A pleasure, Gansey.
no subject
Very nice to meet you, Mr. Gray. I'm sure we'll cross paths.
