Gray | Lord El-Melloi II Case Files | Amethyst
Ah.
[ This is wrong. So very wrong. Last she knew, Gray was stuck in a mansion that defied the rules of nature (and packed with people that did just the same, apparently), and while she could expect to walk into a room and find herself on what seemed to be the outside world, this certainly isn't that. At all. She's somewhere else entirely, or her senses are being tricked to the point she really can't tell anymore. Either case, it's a bit worrying. ]
Um.
[ Pardon while the diminutive girl cloaked from head to toe freezes on the spot and seems to try very hard to become part of the decoration. ]
FEAST
[ Realizing there's little she can do at the moment, Gray decides to sit by a table and eat quietly. It won't do to make further inquires with an empty stomach. Besides, sitting there by herself she can look at other people from safe distance. God forbid someone thinks about getting closer though. That would be dreadful. ]
NETWORK
I know this is an unlikely question, but by any chance is anyone here familiar with the name of Lord El-Melloi II?
WILDCARD
[ For all your Saberfaced thing #3 needs. Just go crazy. ]
network.
[ That's all Rin will say on that matter. Lord El-Melloi II was--is--her responsibility for now. ]
no subject
Could you tell me if he's here? Or maybe he was at some point?
no subject
[ A little hostile maybe, but Rin's middle name may as well be aggressive because that's how her personality tends to be. Funny how Waver always surrounded himself with people who were like that away from the Clock Tower. ]
no subject
[ Honesty is the best answer? And judging by the way this conversation is going, Gray is already wondering if she's talking to a magus. Most likely. ]
no subject
I've never met an apprentice that cared so much for their mentor's well-being before.
Unless you're inquiring about his belongings in which I'd tell you that you're too late. I already own everything.
no subject
I do not wish to own anything of his, but if has died here I would like to have confirmation.
no subject
and yet still very young to someone who may have known Lord El-Melloi II before her. ]
Isn't that a bit too much to say? Speaking of him in that manner makes him appear lewd.
no subject
He did a terrible job of it anyway, so there is no harm.
[ Definitely a magus. ]
no subject
[ Just moving right on it with that. ]
no subject
And who are you, exactly?
[ She's speaking very softly, because she knows how magi are. That Edelfelt magus was ready to gandr her face off because she was pissed at her Master. ]
no subject
It's Tohsaka. Rin Tohsaka.
[ Quietly, as her self-esteem dissipates, she adds: ]
You've never heard of me before, have you?
no subject
[ She speaks without emotion (less than usual?), having read and memorized that some time ago. ]
So you and my Master...?

did someone say saberface; arrival
That said, he doesn't intend on admonishing her for it or something. That'd be silly. He's more concerned over the fact she's behaving this way to begin with; nervous on a first day or something? Possible. May as well try and do something about that, the best he can.
So he approaches-]
Excuse me, miss. [A beat.] Is everything alright?
no subject
[ Gray peeks form under her hood, finding the face of the man. Good looking, tall, well-built. He has the port of a knight, she thinks absentmindedly. And he's asking her something, too. ]
Ah, yes. It's okay. I'm just...disoriented, is all.
no subject
Granted, not that he's pressed about that either. She's probably got her reasons, even if it's just nerves.]
Well, that's perfectly understandable. I believe everyone is on their first day...
But I've been here for quite some time myself, so if you do need any assistance don't hesitate to ask. [He puts a hand to his chest and half bows, all knightly about it.] Sir Gawain, at your service.
no subject
Really? For how long? I'm not entirely sure of the nature of my stay here.
[ So she has left the manor. This is both good and bad. ]
I appreciate the help.
no subject
[He'll leave "also a gem exploded and everything's different" for now. One step at a time.]
no subject
[ This is slightly worrying? Definitely slightly worrying. ]
And where is here exactly?
no subject
You may even find some things you find familiar, depending.
[He didn't believe it at first, but he can't argue now.]
no subject
[ What? No, he couldn't mean...
Gray looks up now, hello world, this is her face. ]
The Root!?
1/2
All things considered, it's a fairly apt compar-...ison...

That said, Nero was so blatantly obvious in how not Arturia she was that he got over it immediately.
But his sole conversation with Arturia here is something he still thinks about to this day. How corrupted she was, and her eventual fate. Knight angst. All very unfortunate ingredients in a what-the-fuck sandwich.
So briefly, he looks like he's seen a ghost.]
You--!!
[He may have leaned back just a little, like he was going to step away from her but neglected to do so.]
What did you say your name was?
[Did she even? He can't even remember right now.]
no subject
[ Jeez guy, relax! Gray takes a step back...and hits the wall. Well, perfect. ]
I'm Gray, my name is Gray. Wh-what is the problem?
no subject
[Yes, the resemblance is there, but it isn't anyone he knows. He's overreacting, which is unfortunate since he thought he was, y'know, getting better at not doing that.]
...yes. Yes, of course you are. Forgive me, I-
It's something else...it has nothing to do with you. Not really.
