LITTLE DETAILS MEME

not every detail gets covered by snazzy icons and stylish [bracket] text. inevitably, small things go overlooked.

so this is where you fill them in! what's your character like in person? how's their accent? their posture? do they slouch? if you've ever wanted to gab about those little details, the small things that get lost in the shuffle but stand out on the street, here's the meme for you!

if not... well! there was an attempt. ლ(°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ᴗ°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ ლ)

Ganondorf Dragmire
Height; 7'6
Weight; Over 500 lbs

General Appearance; Ganondorf is a curious looking man with a distinctive appearance. He towers over all others at an incredible seven and a half feet. His powerfully built, though it usually found in heavy armor that disguises his thick muscular frame. His skin is an olive green that is a stark contrast to his fiery orange hair and beard. His hair, normally very long, is typically kept in place by an elaborate headpiece that serves as his crown. His eyes are a bright, golden color. Completing his strange appearance are his slanted ears that have been altered by his use of the Triforce of Power. He also possesses a scar from the front of his chest to the back of his spine. It glows with an unnatural white light, though his armor is now used to disguise it.

Physical Mannerisms; Ganondorf carries himself like a king should. His back is always straight and he only lowers his chin if he needs to look down to address somebody. An entirely patient man, he takes his time going from one place to another, though his long strides might mean others have to hurry after him. In combat, his movements are quick and precise. Rarely can he ever be found in a relaxed state except if positioned in a place of power, such as a throne or the head of a table. In a word, he appears stiff.

Verbal Mannerisms; Much like his physical mannerisms, Ganondorf speaks in very precise terms in a deep and commanding tone. Though his conversational tone is not loud, he can speak loud enough to be heard over a crowded and noisy hall. He is articulate and very formal, preferring to use titles when appropriate. There is a certain arrogance to his tone and even when addressing others of equal or superior stature, he will not use terms that suggest humility (such as 'my lord' or 'your grace'). Those not worthy of his respect are generally not addressed by name, regardless of whether he has learned their name or not.

Fashion; His appearance is a man who places great pride in his appearance. His beard is carefully trimmed and along with his thick eyebrows, they frame his face in an almost lion like appearance. he wears a jewel on his forehead, as is traditional among the Gerudo. His hair carefully framed by a headpiece that protects the back of his head. His armor, black and brown, is of exceptional quality and fit for a king. He is as vain as he is evil.

Etc; He enjoys a good laugh, His long beautiful hair

Lancelot

Height; 5ft 11 / 182cm
Weight; ~79 kg / ~174lbs

General Appearance;
Lancelot has the incredible good fortune of being played by Santiago Cabrera, who just so happens to be disgustingly good looking. He has mid-length dark brown hair, shorter than in the first season when it was something of a mop (but still long enough to enjoy running your fingers through, at least I would), and kind brown eyes to match. Lancelot is not the most muscular of the knights, that would be Percival, but he is still someone who runs around Camelot daily and swings a sword for a living. He's lean but definitely strong. He has varying levels of artistic stubble, depending on his mood, a little heavier on his top lip. Considering his lifestyle, he probably has a few scars but nothing is notable or visible. Every time he gets a face cut it is carefully angled to only seem rugged and mysteriously vanishes later thanks to TV magic.

Physical Mannerisms;
Lancelot is a terrible easygoing person, and it shows. He has an easy confidence about him day to day, and even when he's nervous or stressed it rarely breaks. He might become a little more tense, a little more determined, but he doesn't reveal weakness easily -- often because he's rarely willing to dignify it with the concept it might win (and for the sake of others). Lancelot is someone who has been through a lot of pain and overcome it, so he has learnt a kind of determined optimism. He's quick with a smile to reassure people, an easy shrug at a joke or an eyebrow raise in surprise but he has no outwardly major tics other than the tendency to dart his eyes away a little self-consciously while in the middle of deflecting a compliment or trying to negotiate something awkward. Lancelot sometimes smiles a little out of nerves, too, also from... awkwardness. He has a playful sense of humour, and might shoot someone a private smirk if they're both amused by something even if he tries to play off that it isn't funny at all later. He's surprisingly good at the innocent look for someone who wears his emotions fairly openly most of the time.

Verbal Mannerisms;
Lancelot has a sort of soft, mid pitched tone. He's of the generic, gentle English accent and rarely raises his voice too much if he can help it -- preferring to pitch more for intensity than shout. As a rule, he's not wildly animated in his speech patterns -- they might drop low for a private conversation and pitch a little higher when caught off guard but as he tends to be even tempered so his tone follows.

Fashion;
Lancelot comes from a village. This is an important point, because the first time we see him he is dressed in his own clothes rather than uniform. Every other time, basically, he is dressed for battle. He's not at all vain, however, if you take into account how casual his original outfit is, but I think it's fair to say he's proud enough to take care of his uniform since he was so pleased to earn the right to wear it. I can imagine him being very careful over it, and I imagine he stays the same in Caer Glaem because it is a link back to home he does not want to lose.

Etc; If you want to hear his voice and witness proof of how quick EVERYONE IS TO RANDOMLY ADORE HIM and how quick he is to trust... random... spirits... for no reason other than 'they seem nice! and glow!'

KANYESHRUG.

( KORRA. )

[personal profile] sangilak 2014-08-26 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
KORRA ( 柯拉 )

HEIGHT; canonly 5'7
WEIGHT; excuse.

GENERAL APPEARANCE;
Tall and proportionate, Korra is an athletically built woman without an ounce of extra bodyfat on her; she is cut. She has dark brown hair and skin, and her eyes are a bright, Water Tribe blue. Her hair is normally kept in three wolf tails, but when it gets knocked out, you know she means business. While not conventionally gorgeous like Asami, Korra does have her own spunky charm about her facial features with slim eyebrows, a pixie nose, and a slim mouth that always seems to be twisted into a smirk — and if there's one thing that can be said about her face is that it is expressive. Since she is so in touch with her emotions, Korra's face is the canvas for her feelings, ranging from cocky to over-the-top surprise, and even volatile anger. Despite her penchant for getting into fights, Korra has very few scars on her body due to the fact that she's a competent healer with her bending.

PHYSICAL MANNERISMS;
Korra disposition is fiery and confident and this translates to her body language: often seen with her shoulders squared and her chin tipped back, Korra is the very picture of self-assured. Her steps are heavy and while her boisterous personality might seem to lend itself to having Korra move in a slightly heavy-handed manner, she's quite graceful, always aware of her body and capable of being in complete control of herself physically. She is perfectly capable of going from completely relaxed (standing with her hands on her hips) to battle-ready in a manner of seconds, and she's definitely not the kind of opponent you want to take on (video clip) lightly. She is unbound in her physicality, leaping in excitement or lashing out when she's upset and in fact she's so well-known for it that whenever she becomes withdrawn in upon herself, something has gone very wrong.

VERBAL MANNERISMS;
Korra's voice is a bit deeper than usual, but much like the rest of her, it's incredibly expressive. She punctuates her words (video clip) with hand movements and tips of her head, illustrating herself to make sure she drives her point home. She delivers her words clearly and (you guessed it) with confidence, unless of course, someone catches her off-guard, or when she's making a poor attempt at being suave to the object of her affection. Only then does she start to stutter and lose the natural bite to her tone. There's no such thing as "subtlety" to Korra's delivery, and it extends to her verbal tics as well. And even though she's not a city chick, she knows a fair amount of 20s slang, thrown in for punctuation and texture.

FASHION;
Straight out of the 1920s, the Avatar dresses herself in anything form-fitting and allows her ease of motion. Dresses? Forget about it — pants are the name of the game here, as there's less fabric to get twisted around her legs. And sleeves? Forget about it. Korra lives to put on the gun show, and there's nothing covering them up save for her one water tribe band. Korra doesn't bother with adornments like jewelry — in her eyes, they're just more things for her opponents to grab — so the only things she bothers to wear in addition to her armband are the clips to hold her wolftails. Blues and browns are the usual colors she can be seen in, unless it's for something important like her airbending training where she is required to wear the traditional orange and red airbender robes. For most of her time in Eachdraidh, Korra could be found in her winter outfit (on the right), but now after heading to the Station she has several sporty outfits to her name.

ETC;

Waver Velvet, Lord El-Melloi II
Height; Five foot ten (thanks official Type Moon Wiki!)
Weight; 50kg (again, thanks canon, although that seems super underweight for his height)
General Appearance; Officially, it’s like this. While the Drabwurld’s got Waver sometimes changing of of the suit for a grey and black equivalent, the coat and scarf are a constant, as well as his hair's length. Waver's hair length is less about vanity though, and more about the fact that extra power for his magecraft can be stored in hair in-canon. As a not powerful spellcaster, the little boost helps a lot. It also helps him overcome the fact that he is a twig. You could probably mistake him for an unhappy tree, and you wouldn’t be wrong.
Physical Mannerisms; Twig he may be, but Waver’s a twig that walks with confidence and authority - even if his face belongs in the grumpy cat repertoire. He’s found that, among magi, the wisdom of look the part, be the part applies and he uses it whenever he can. Especially now, when the authority Waver carries with his title doesn’t exist.
Verbal Mannerisms; Waver switches between accents, depending. Being a part of the magecraft community, and a Lord within it, he will employ the post/received pronunciation accent when it is pertinent to do so. That means in the Drabwurld, he uses it constantly - unless he’s around a select few people who he trusts. When in less demanding company, his natural estuary accent slips out.

Being a professor, Waver’s education shows. He takes pains, however, to avoid purple prose - promising not to be long winded is something he just can’t guarantee. When he’s brainstorming around others, his speech - usually delivered at a medium pace - changes to almost too-rapid-to-follow. It’s a pain in the ass to deal with, really.
Fashion; Waver, in private isn’t half as meticulously dressed as he’d suggest. As Lord El-Melloi II, he must look and act a certain way. That means being aware of his appearance - he’ll fiddle with that scarf and coat before meetings begin - and knowing what’s expected of him before he even walks in a room. The chance to sit around in PJs is rare, and honestly welcome. So, you know, never happening in the Drabwurld.
Etc; If you don't know what tiny Waver looks like here's him, dressing like he's a Hogwarts student.

Luke Castellan

Height; 6'1"

Weight; Probably close to 200lbs.

General Appearance; Luke's pretty attractive. With sandy blonde hair, bright blue eyes, a pale complexion, and a well-built physique, the 6'1" looks like the stereotypical college guy.

It's important to note he wears his hair messily, as he had once worn it slicked back during his days of being Kronos' Bitch; his hair is thick and wild, never quite capable of being tamed. After years of training at Camp Half-Blood, and pushing himself to meet a specific physical standard, Luke is built. His hands are rough from handling swords for a good portion of his life.

The one ugly thing marring Luke's appearance is a thick, pale scar over his right eye.

When shirtless, beneath his left arm is a small scar. On both ankles, on either side, is a small, black tattoo of wings, similar to the ones found on his converse shoes. On the inside of his right wrist is a small, black tattoo of a pine tree — it's where one would find his pulse. Behind his left ear is a small flower, but rather than the typical drawn leaf, there is a curved line, like a spiral, coming out from behind the petals.

Physical Mannerisms; Luke walks like he has all the time in the world. It's clear he's confident — if a little cocky. He's invincible. He portrays himself as knowing all the answers, and even knowing himself, when it's all merely a farce for a boy who doesn't know anything at all. There's always laughter in his step. Usually, he's wearing a smile on his face, but whether it's out of mirth is up for interpretation. He walks like a soldier would, back straight and with purposeful strides. His strides are always long and he always walks quickly.

When his hands are not occupied, he talks with them. He's consistently moving, never quite sitting still. He's itching for a fight and to run. When he does run, he's fast, never quite tiring as quickly as those who participate in track would.

But Luke does lay about with a lazy posture, becoming almost too relaxed in his environment. He's approachable, smile always warm to those who don't incite a slight pinch to his lips.

Verbal Mannerisms; Luke's tone is always bordering on sarcastic. Sometimes it appears as though he's not taking the conversation seriously or he's secretly laughing at the person he's conversing with. He's loud, a voice belonging to a commander — or head counsellor of a particular rowdy cabin. There's always a roughness to his voice, but it thickens when he's angry. He speaks fast, just as he moves, as being a son of Hermes means he's quick on his feet and an excellent communicator. Luke has no filter. He's American.

Fashion; Luke's constantly wearing his black converse shoes with fluttering wings on the side. He takes to denim jeans and nondescript shirts, but favours a maroon shirt with sleeves coming to his elbows. Sometimes he can be seen wearing a leather jacket. But Luke is never without his newly acquired boons — a necklace and a bracelet, the latter he wears on his right wrist to cover his pine tree tattoo.

Etc; Have some audio.

Cassie Sandsmark

[personal profile] blundergirl 2014-08-26 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Cassie Sandsmark | Wonder Girl

Height; 5'4"
Weight; 130lbs.

General Appearance;
Cassie has an athletic build, that much is immediately apparent when she's not wearing sleeved shirts. She has no distinguishing features like visible birthmarks or scars and she has a clean complexion for a teenager, from an extremely healthy lifestyle and diet. She's not hulked out, but she has obvious toning everywhere, and a majority of it is in her upper body from her additional weapons training.

Physical Mannerisms;
Oh boy, sorry for the TL;DR. Confidence is the name of the game. I wouldn't go as far as to say that there's a swagger in her walk, but she's self-assured of her own abilities. She won't be found standing around tensed up waiting to get attacked, or ignoring everything going on around her either. What you end up with is a sort of relaxed, "whatever happens happens and I'll handle it when it happens" kind of projection in her stance. She doesn't walk with any sort of slouch but her posture when sitting isn't exactly great. Prone to getting a little restless she's the type of person that would lean back and balance on the legs of her chair or absently tap her pencil eraser on the desk or against her head while she's reading, studying, or thinking. She uses her hands a little when she's telling a story or talking but usually her mouth does most of the work. If she gets angry enough her preference is to go work it off physically, go someplace where she can do some damage without worrying about the consequences. Otherwise there HAVE been rare occasions where her temper might've gotten the best of her and she put a couch through a wall- I mean what? When it comes to watching others in action (like TV or movies or sports events) she's an active spectator, not afraid to pump her fists or jump around when she's excited while watching something. She's spent months training with Wonder Woman, learning how to cut the excess from her fighting stance but she's also young still and more aggression than grace at the moment. While there is some finesse in her motions it's more subtle, and she puts her full weight into most of her attacks. Think smooth but firm, and flair. In a fight she still expends a little more energy than necessary, except for maybe when fighting much weaker opponents. Her lasso work probably demonstrates both of these traits the best, as it's almost all about the hands and wrists. Last, flying: now that she does with grace.

Verbal Mannerisms;
There isn't anything really particular about Cassie's voice, it's somewhere in the first alto range and she talks kind of loud. Not CAPSLOCK YELLING loud but you could definitely pick her out in a crowd if you're within a five foot radius of her. She speaks clearly most of the time but when she gets really excited she might be prone to more stuttering and even resorting to making sound effects. She also talks faster and her voice gets a little higher when excited! When she gets angry her voice deepens a little, takes on a rougher quality, but she'll resort to sarcasm before she starts yelling unless you REALLY work her up and piss her off.

Fashion;
Sporty things, definitely sporty things. And casual things. Cassie doesn't really get along with dresses and skirts, or blouses and slacks. Her preference is in the athletic and casual. Jeans, long sleeve baseball tees, hoodies, maybe t-shirts with cut off sleeves. She likes to keep it simple, really. Her uniform are a pair of track pants, low top running shoes, and a sleeveless black shirt. None of her clothing hides her physique, that should be made clear! She's not in the least ashamed of her body. Her dislike of dresses and skirts is mostly because she feels like she wasn't really made for them- though she'd have no objection if the style was right, say... maybe something Amazonian, or Greek?

Etc; You can see a little bit of all of the above right here! See for yourself.

metalica: ERIK NO / ooc (068)

[personal profile] metalica 2014-08-26 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
Erik Lehnsherr / Magneto
Height; 6'1"
Weight; 79kg

General Appearance; Erik is a tall, gangly sort of man; he has long legs and long arms and seems, at times, to be a little stretched out. That lends itself to the flatness of his body with a set of trim hips and a flat stomach kept in shape through training. His face is sharp with an almost boxy jawline and angled features. His hair is kept short, even on each side, and he's always freshly shaved and smooth skinned. Erik is, generally, a handsome looking man that takes good care of his appearance because he understands how appearances can be important in the games that he plays as he tries to save his kind.

Physical Mannerisms; Erik carries himself with the confidence of a man that can, quite literally, manipulate the world around him. He is confident, cocky, almost, sure footed and walks with an almost swagger - each stride is purposeful and long. He doesn't shy from eye contact and it takes a lot to make him nervous; he'll hold his ground for as long as he needs to. Laughter isn't his forte and most of his laughs will be short, sharp little things that tumble out of his mouth as more of sarcasm than anything else; he doesn't smile often and, when he does, you know something bad is about to happen. Generally, Erik stands with his arms crossed or his hands in his pockets -- he doesn't welcome conversation or interaction and his body language is a constant barrier against that.

Verbal Mannerisms; With a low, deep voice and a slight twist to his words it's obvious that Erik has heritage in Europe; while he has lost some of his natural twang some of his childhood accent still remains. He doesn't raise his voice often, prefering to use the power of his voice and the words he has on his tongue to show just what he means to say and express everything without hesitation. In standard conversation Erik's voice would be even, not too loud but deep enough to stand out in a crowd.

Fashion; Fashion isn't exactly Magneto's strong suit, given the fact that he leans towards magenta, fushcia and pink clothes for his outfits. As a rule, though, he dresses simply and cleanly; turtlenecks, long, sharp trousers, dress shoes, unless he is in his Magneto guide. Then it's capes, body armour and his telepathy blocking helmet -- that comes in both traditional steel, rusted metal and, of course, pink and purple. He's not the kind of man to dress himself in fancy clothes or go out of his way to take too much care in his appearance, fashion-wise. He likes clothes that fit, that cover his body (especially his arm) and keep him covered from head to toe.

Etc; this is important.

Zelos Wilder
Height; 5'10" [179cm]
Weight; 150lbs [68kg]
General Appearance; Zelos is canonically extremely good looking for a human. Pale flawless skin, toned muscles, average height, average weight, violet-blue eyes, long wild and curly red hair - physically you'll be hard pressed to find flaws. This is actually due to the fact he's product of a 4,000 year old eugenics/genetics project, so it's pretty much 100% unnatural he looks that good. Whether or not a character actually finds him attractive is up to a characters' own tastes (and I'm really not interested in forcing people to find my character hot since that is very subjective!)- but if one looked up what humans biologically tend to find beautiful, he'd nail it.

Besides the unnatural good looks, it should be noted that while he's 24- he looks closer to 18-21 (canon is vague if it's immortality from his powers or just unintentional character design). Zelos has no scars or tattoos- but he does have a red crystal lined with gold jewerly nailed to his chest. If you look close enough it seems to close, and that glow seems to get brighter when he's using strong magics. He also has a pair of golden wings (see the picture), but most of the time he keeps those hidden.

Physical Mannerisms; Zelos is a Noble. When he walks into a room, it's like he owns it. Overall though he has a very laid back/apathetic air to him. Zelos moves mostly with grace, though he has moments of total clumsiness that usually ends in something getting broken or hurt. He uses hand gestures, but unless he's being overdramatic or emphasizing a point- it's a very unenergetic hand gestures (wave of his hand, rubbing of his neck). If he's goofing off, it's the opposite and his gestures completely overdone and energetic. When he's feeling defensive or vulnerable, he crosses his arms over his chest. It's said that he usually tries to keep up a passive smile or smirk when he's around people (though his real smiles are much much rarer), but when he thinks no one's paying attention- it's usually a neutral face or frown. In a crowd, unless he has something to say, he'll usually opt to hanging around the back and observing the situation.

Verbal Mannerisms; Like his apathetic air, Zelos's tone tends to be a calm and collected one that usually edges closer to apathy or sarcasm. Over the past couple years, he has grown to show more emotion in his tone! But mostly, unless you get him to feel a strong emotion (surprise, anger, etc), he tends to speak in a laid back tone. His voice is a bit on the deep side, though when he's goofing off it gets higher pitched, deeper when he's brooding, and louder when he gets excited. He speaks casually, but there's plenty of advanced vocab and proper grammar to show he's had a good education. He's either extremely blunt, or too vague depending on the topic- which tends to make for a lot of misunderstandings and offense. He's...trying to work on that. ITS A WORK IN PROGRESS OKAY.

Fashion;Zelos is hella loaded and it shows. His clothes tend to be pretty expensive, although more on the practical side. He doesn't wear too much jewelry (because there's a crystal NAILED TO HIS CHEST), but he totally feels most at home in an expensive outfit. He's well groomed too, and very careful about his appearance. He'll wear a wide range of colors and styles- from neutral colors to greens to pink. Also he seems to have little shame in how much skin he shows, so you might catch him in anything from modest to plenty of skin (the vest zipper is actually open in canon) to my god please put on some clothes. Though in Eachdraidh he might start wearing stuff that more covers his crystal because you know, it'd suck if someone mistook that for a Shard.

Etc; Really after linking the thong picture I think I'm good with torturing you guys.

Saralegui

Height; 5'7"
Weight; 110 lbs.

General Appearance; Saralegui is described several times as extremely pretty by the (very insistently straight male) protagonist. He has a thin, delicate build and a feminine face, with long pale blond hair and gold eyes. Of course, you can blame most of his ethereal good looks on his not being entirely human (not that he knows that little detail just yet). But his nails being perfectly manicured is entirely his own fault.

Physical Mannerisms; A king raised in palaces from birth, he's got all the poise and grace you'd expect. He's perfected a sort of approachable regality, confident and self-assured without any of the stiffness or distance that might drive others away.

Verbal Mannerisms; His voice actor is Ishida Akira, if that tells you anything. Saralegui is an excellent public speaker, never stammering or mumbling or stumbling over words, but the way he speaks changes with the situation, whether he wants to appear warm and friendly or vulnerable and sympathetic or whatever. He's a skilled actor with a lot of experience in playing whatever part is necessary to get what he wants, but when all that is stripped away and he's speaking to someone he's genuine with -- no one but his guard right now, to be honest -- he's got a confident, teasing, sometimes slightly condescending manner.

Fashion; He likes layering with loose, flowing fabrics, belted around the hips or with a sash, and usually with bell sleeves and boots. The fabric colors tend towards simple neutrals with jewel tones for more formal affairs. More used to cold weather and stuffy nobility, he generally always wears long sleeves and pants under looser robes and skirt-like things. His boots have a bit of a heel to them, perhaps to help give him the height to stand among the older circles he tends to run in back home. He wears a pair of lavender-tinted glasses at all times, except when he's sleeping or using his hypnotic abilities.

Etc; Have some actually decent animation from the OVAs with Sara's voice and an excellent Evangelion reference around 1:30.

Jason Grace

Height; 6'1"
Weight; 177 lbs.

General Appearance; Jason is all all-American as it can get, all blond and blue-eyed and built like a typical high school jock. His hair used to be kept in a military-esque crew cut, but it's been growing out for the last year or so, and he honestly prefers it this way, a bit messy and windswept-looking. There's a little scar at the corner of his lips from a tragic accident involving a stapler when he was two, and any number of other faint scars from a lifetime of fighting and training with sharp weapons and monsters. The tattoo on his left forearm is a mark of his service to the Roman legion -- the letters SPQR, with an eagle (the symbol of his father, Jupiter), and twelve lines to tally the twelve years he spent in the legion.

Physical Mannerisms; The way Jason holds himself is very much a product of his position at Camp Jupiter and his status as a son of Jupiter. Never one to disappoint anyone, he'd always tried to live up to all expectations of how he was supposed to act and what he was supposed to be like. As a result, he's got a confident and ready stance with efficient movements. At times it can seem just ever so slightly off, uncertain as he still is with basically everything about himself, but it's an awkwardness he hides well. The only times he seems completely at ease are when he's in the air, and there he loosens up a great deal.

Verbal Mannerisms; Jason has a somewhat stern tone at times from his years as praetor that he hasn't quite managed to shake. He tends towards authoritative and stiff when he's unsure of how to act, but these days he's aiming for something friendlier and more casual. And for all the soldier-esque mannerisms he's had pounded into him, he still manages to sound like a huge dork sometimes, saying the word "dude" unironically and using lame demigod cursing like "holy Romulus". That is an actual thing he's said, yes.

Fashion; Here, he's been stuck with a lot of tunics and other vaguely-medieval fantasywear (all of it blue thanks to the fairies), but he normally prefers just simple jeans and t-shirts. Given the choice, he'd live in the orange and purple shirts from Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter. The only accessory he wears in a leather cord with a single bead commemorating his year at the Greek camp.

Etc; Okay so there are no good Jason-specific videos so just have one of Viria's HOO tributes.

Ao Fukai

[personal profile] foreignflight 2014-08-26 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
Ao Fukai
Height; 155cm/5'1"
Weight; 110lb or so, skinny
General Appearance; Ao is actually meant to look not human. His canon doesn't usually use extreme hair color/appearances, instead everyone looks like normal everyday people. Only the humanoid Coralians have strange colored hair/eyes (minus Elena who knows what's going on with her). For the most part he is biologically very similar to a regular human boy, but so is Eureka. They're very similar to humans while also having an inherent difference even if it's not really easy to tell.

That being said, Ao's physical quirks appear in his hair and eyes. He was originally born with brown hair, but it magically turned into the same turquoise as his mother's a year ago. His eyes are the real kicker. They're a deep violet with a thin, red circle around the iris. This means that he sees the world in entirely different way then everyone else, he sees in infrared and ultraviolet. He's also capable of seeing things that are incredibly tiny in size making him "see the wind" as he says.

The final thing is a Drabwurld only thing, he's gaining wings like Eureka. They're retractable, so they're not always there, but they are most certainly a thing.

Physical Mannerisms; Ao's emotions and expressions definitely come from how he carries himself. Sometimes, he won't say anything at all, but his stance is what will let you know he is not okay. A lot of his things is that he sort of distances himself from people-- if he's upset he curls up away from people. If he's not happy with being touched he either looks embarrassed or in some cases annoyed. He's not a very physical person and it shows. He is however not afraid to act and will sometimes tackle people before he says anything at all.

Verbal Mannerisms; This is where I say he doesn't say that much again. He's a pretty quiet person, more internal then external, unless you get him on about something. He can easily express himself through words if he needs to, but largely he has to process everything internally. There are a lot of times where he won't say anything at all, but then sometimes he'll say a lot more then you'd expect. He's a very upfront and blunt speaker, he doesn't sweeten up anything he's thinking.

He's also not the most polite. He's a bit more like his mother here then Renton, as his Renton was very polite. He doesn't often, if ever, bow or the like and he doesn't think of those as superior to him. Even his mother he calls 'Anma' and he just calls his guardian 'Oji' or 'Gramps'. He's more of a frank speaker then a polite speaker at all times.

Fashion; ...ANIME COLOR MATCH UP. No, really. If he dresses himself it's a pair of jean shorts, with black skin tight shorts underneath it, and a blue hoodie. It's very silly looking, but that's his "usual" outfit. Otherwise he's mostly only seen in some form of uniform. So he likes long sleeves and layers, that's basically it.

Etc;

Alexia Ashford
Height; 5'9"
Weight; 120 lbs.

General Appearance; Sleek and ssstatuesque! Pale complexion; light blue eyes; lengthy, straight, and pale blonde hair.
Physical Mannerisms; "Composed and confident" is the sum of it - she carries herself with a straight back and her head high, takes slow steps. She does emote through body language, but more often than not with a clearly focused air.
Verbal Mannerisms; English accent; speaks articulately with a clear cadence. High voice by default, typically projected low. Puts on emphatic intensity when speaking seriously; liable to sound anywhere from jokey to plain "tuned out" when not. Laugh - or at least chuckles - often.
Fashion; Prefers it very proper and very girly; she favors long and fancy dresses, long gloves, flattering shoes, etc., all in cool or pale colors. Is an accessorisor, similarly favors colorless or silver items, including with jewelry, with p'raps a bit of color for flair from a gemstone or such.
Etc; Her twin brother Alfred can get the look about right.

THOMAS EDISON
Height; 5'9"
Weight; 145lbs
General Appearance; Thomas is very lanky--he's all limbs! His most notable characteristics are a smattering of moles on his cheeks. He actually has them allllll over the place. Also known for his mouth being open like always. He's fairly muscular from running and such, but it's all lanky muscles--he's not bulky like most of the other runners were. He has big brown eyes and a mop of brown hair he doesn't even bother styling (who has time for that in the apocalypse, honestly)--Chuck describes him as "ugly as fried liver on a stick" at one point--and since he's like maybe looked in a mirror twice in his life (that he remembers, obviously), he's not too concerned with his appearance.

Underneath his clothes, you'll find a myriad of scrapes and scars. In particular, there's a patch of marred skin on his shoulder where you can clearly see a burn scar; a wound was there that had to be cauterized. He also has a gunshot wound scar in his shoulder, and there are several marks that look like they could have been stab wounds, but they are, in fact, stings. His hands and knees are permanently marked up from rolling around too much in the Maze.

On the back of his neck, Tommy has a tattoo! He didn't get this tattoo by choice. (C'mon, did you really think so.) It reads: SUBJECT A2: TO BE KILLED BY GROUP B. How nasty.

Physical Mannerisms; Thomas walks tall, with his shoulders back and his head held high. He is the picture of a leader (sort of) and does his best to present himself that way. However, he has long legs in comparison to a short body, and he runs....well. for someone who's supposed to be a runner, he's not very good at it.

Thomas doesn't smile often; he's often joked by the rest of the Gladers whenever he does. He's very serious, so to get a hesitant smile out of Tommy is often a sign of friendship. Thomas tends to wring his hands and jitter when he's nervous, though--when he's scared out of his mind, too. Sometimes, when he's talking, he'll rest his hands in the front of his runner's harness as well, to kind of look for something to do with them.

Verbal Mannerisms; Thomas's voice isn't very deep, and he doesn't speak with much of an accent. Rather, he's occasionally prone to using Glader slang (shank, greenie, shuck, or klunk, or any combination of those), as sort of a comfort mechanism/force of habit. He always speaks with purpose and tends to pause before he's going to say something, so he can gather his thoughts and say it just the way he means to. Thomas isn't really the talker of his group--he'll do it, but he mostly lets Minho (or Newt, before) do the pep talks.

Kind of in the same vein with the slang is that he picked up on using sarcasm more from spending time with Minho and Newt. He used to be even more serious than he is (hard to imagine, tbh) but the two of them (+ Chuck) really rubbed off on him.

The only time his voice really shakes or changes is if something is seriously affecting him--Thomas is a known sufferer of some major PTSD, and sometimes you can legitimately hear him trying to compartmentalize.

Fashion; Currently only in possession of his runner's outfit, if given the choice, Thomas would probably dress like a shorts-and-sperrys-wearing rich boy. He doesn't have much in the way of "fashion sense", and he would most likely have one or two outfits he just kind of...recycles. Let's just assume Teresa and Minho dress him, okay? Okay.

He's very attached to his runner's clothes. They're rumpled and dirty and covered in sweat and dirt and probably some blood, but he's very fond of them, even his weird hand protectors Minho made them wear. It has a lot of good (and bad) memories attached, but the good memories are what make it worth it to still wear all the time.

Harry Potter and the Descriptive Meme

[personal profile] thebreakingwave 2014-08-26 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
Harry Potter
Height; 5’5”
Weight; Not exactly a scrawny whippet, but he’s pretty darn slender.

General Appearance; Harry Potter is a young man in his late teens, almost twenty. He’s short, slight, and until very recently average enough that he could be forgettable with only a little effort. He has unruly black hair that may be a life form of its own, bottle-green eyes, and wire frame glasses. He lost and eye and is currently sporting an eyepatch. It’s dapper!

He’s got a collection of scars: lightning bolt on his forehead, new ones running over his face, ‘I must not tell lies’ carved into the back of his left hand, and probably a smattering of other old wounds and faint scars.

Physical Mannerisms; Harry doesn’t like to draw attention to himself. In the Drabwurld, more often then not, he’s slouches, making himself look even smaller, and tries to blend in. If he were home in Britain, he’d have better posture and a bit more natural command to him, but here he doesn't really need it. (Although, he can bring it out when necessary.)

He moves like an athlete or a fighter. While he doesn't have a lot of experience with physical fights, something he wants to change, he knows how to hold himself in a duel.

Verbal Mannerisms; He can be flippant, and he often is, but there’s a darker, sarcastic edge to his humour that only comes out when he’s around people he genuinely likes. He sounds suspiciously like danrad.

He speaks at a moderate pace, but now that he’s growing up, he often finds himself tripping over his words. When he’s not careful, he’ll speak before thinking and he doesn't want to do that, but at the same time, thinking before speaking can be an effort. When he really wants to get something right, he’ll stop, clearly consider his words, and only then speak.

Fashion; Clothing is clothing. Harry doesn't feel that he knows enough about it to really form opinions, but given any choice in the matter, he will make an effort to dress in clothing that fits. He’s had enough misshapen, missized hand me downs, please and thank you. He does dress casually and comfortably, but above all, he prefers practicality. Sturdy, easy to mend things, and light, leather-weight armour if he has to fight.

Now that Harry's got an eyepatch, he needs a cane with a skull at the end and maybe a duster.

RAPUNZEL
Height; 5'4
Weight;110
General Appearance; Rapunzel is petite in build with fair skin and freckles on the end of her nose and a bit on her cheek. Her eyes are disgustingly green and her hair is very, very long and golden.
Physical Mannerisms; Rapunzel can be very awkward when with others, being unused to it as she is. She'll sway a bit, use a lot of hand gestures to explain herself and if startled will take a few steps back. However, when comfortable or excited, she's graceful and easy on her feet, expressing herself by bouncing and dancing in place. She's very expressive and her emotions will usually show in her body language.
Verbal Mannerisms; She has a bit of a stammer if nervous, using a lot of forced 'haha', she draws words like 'really' or 'kinda' when she wants to make her point clear. She uses a lot of sorta-kinda language and sometimes exclaims happily with 'ta da' or 'yay!'. she's dramatic and expressive in how she speaks, exactly as she is with her body language.
Fashion; She makes her dresses and tends to simple purple, green, yellow, pink white and blue with floral patterns. Her style is simple but girly. When braiding her hair, she'll always use flowers or cute pins.

Javik
Height; Not even Shepard has a canon height in this series, so... I put him at about 5'6" or 5'7"
Weight; Not a clue! Probably 150 lbs or more though.

General Appearance; He isn't very tall, but he's broad, with wide set hips. He has only two toes on each foot and three fingers for each hand. Those ARE nostrils down the center of his face, but the rest of the grooves are sensory pits. He uses those to smell pheromones and your dirty lies. No one really knows what protheans look like under their armor, but this is what I think is the closest (link NWS because alien butt), MINUS the wings. The back of his head is spotted - as if he doesn't have enough eyes for predators to try and peck out. His armor does not cover his fingers, knees or the backs of his knees.

Physical Mannerisms; Javik's body language is as standoffish as he makes himself sound. He won't always face you when you're talking to him, and he can be pretty stiff. In places he's familiar with he'll recline or lean over and against things. If he has access to clean water, he'll be washing his hands almost obsessively. Without water, he might resort to wiping his hands on his armor, and if you're offended, too bad. A handshake leaves behind a million different things he can read (seriously, wash your hands you gross primitives) and he hates how it lingers.

He has a tremendous poker face, but his mouth is very expressive. Watching how it twitches or how he sneers is probably a better indicator of his mood than the rest of his face.

Because he can learn things through physical contact, this means that the only dance he knows is The Shepard. Never dance with him.

Verbal Mannerisms; Javik's accent is Nigerian, even though Nigeria definitely didn't exist 50,000 years ago, but the best way to make an alien seem alien is to give them a foreign accent! His grammar and syntax are usually near perfect, and colloquialisms and slang may go right over his head. He also doesn't mask his tone - if the sight of you fills him with contempt, he's going to sound contemptuous when talking to you.

Fashion; Javik wears the same thing everyday. Seriously. I'm sorry, I promise he doesn't smell bad.

Etc; hangovers aren't kind to him

The Outsider

[personal profile] extramural 2014-08-26 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
The Outsider
Height; about 5'8'? he's a god he's however tall he wants to be
Weight; 125 lbs. HE'S A GOD HE'S HOWEVER WEIGHTY HE WANTS TO BE
General Appearance; The Outsider's most striking physical feature is his eyes -- all black, no whites or color around the pupil at all. He appears to be a young man with rather large hands. Very pale, his skin tone highlights the dark shadows under his eyes and the bones in his face; he appears to be a bit underfed. He has no scars or other distinguishing marks to speak of.
Physical Mannerisms; The Outsider holds himself tall, but rarely -- if ever -- is actually standing with his feet on the ground. He prefers to levitate in a swirl of dark magic and prefers to move via teleportation. He often speaks with his arms either folded across his chest or with hand movements that are slow, steady; they almost appear to be calculated. When especially interested in something, his head will tilt to the side.
Verbal Mannerisms; Like his movements, the Outsider's voice is slow and steady, almost monotonous. If he doesn't want your input, he won't give you room for it; despite his steady pace, his tone holds no room for argument or for interruptions. He often sounds dryly amused, though whether it's about the subject at hand or who he's talking to is open for interpretation.
Fashion; The Outsider always wears the same clothes: a pair of black pants, a pair of boots, a white undershirt with a high collar, and a brown coat that buckles in the front.
Etc; As of the 25th, he has four black fish swimming in the air about him at all times!
And a video of The Outsider's first appearance in canon!

Alice Liddell

Height; 4'9" (headcanon)
Weight;80 lbs (headcanon also)
General Appearance; Alice is smaller in both weight and height for normal women her age and bare in mind the average height of women in her time was around five feet. I went with this because I'm sure she suffered malnutrition and lack of good sunlight during her 10 year stay in Rutledge Asylum. She is a sickly pale with dark circles underneath her eyes. She is 19 years old, but can possibly be mistaken for being younger, due to her height and her manner of dress tends to be a little childish. Victorian women usually wore dresses covering their ankles and legs, but Alice opts for something she can easily move in. She has long, dark, dark brown hair with wide and round green eyes. Alice does have scars from both self-harm and burns, but they have long since faded or are covered by her clothing. She tends to wear her hair loose -- another thing that's more childish in nature when women in her time wear their hair pulled back or up.

Physical Mannerisms; Alice tends to be very expressive! She usually walks very rigid because of her tendency to always be on guard. Alice is always with her vorpal blade. Always. Depending on her mood, she is similar to a feral cat ready to either bolt or attack. When she's feeling insecure or flustered, Alice tends to let her hair cover her face from others. She isn't afraid to avoid eye contact. Alice has a huge, huge personal bubble when she's with people, because she really dislikes touch of any sort (unless you're an animal or a child, you're okay). Alice does not like having people walk behind her; if she's with someone, she'll insist on walking beside them so that they're always in her sight. She's very hyper-vigilant, always tense, and always making a point to observe. If she's somewhere, chances are she's close by a door or a good place where people can't look at her. She can be formal, but obviously some social situations are difficult for her.

Verbal Mannerisms; Very formal, matter of fact, and always to the point. She only really raises her voice when really upset. Susie Bran's voice can either sound light or a little older when she's voicing Alice, so sometimes you notice that in the game. When she's excited, her voice tends to be a little more childish. Just with her facial expressions, Alice is pretty expressive. She's not afraid to tell someone off or come down on them.

Fashion; Alice seems to have a trend here to dress a little youthful and rebellious for a Victorian. I kind of see her usually in a lot of Gothic Lolita clothing, more specifically, classic lolita:

She favors a lot of blues, no surprise there! And yes, she does sometimes wear aprons, along with the omega pendant. During redgate, she was wearing something less expressive, like a riding suit, but the only difference is she wore some sort of trousers and her boots when the length of the dress went down to her knees:

Etc;
Alice doesn't deviate that far from the Lewis Carroll stories. As a matter of fact, her childhood was the books and her life took a downturn after her family's demise. I guess that's about it, really.

THE BRUCOLAC

Height; 6’1”
Weight; no fucking clue, I’m tempted to say he’s either stupidly light or stupidly heavy but I can’t work out which would entertain me more. /gud rper

General Appearance; The Brucolac is apparently a young-looking and handsomely androgynous man, described as being built like a dancer: slim, but with distinct wiry muscle tone. He died at 23; he's a bona fide pretty boy vamp until he opens his mouth. His hair is long, black, curly, frizzy and cannot be tamed; it’s generally the only untidy thing about his appearance. (Despite being dead his hair will grow insistently and stupidly quickly if he cuts it, coming back to shoulder-length or just beyond. Also, he gets stubble, which is, if present, usually neatened up a bit. Yes, this is purely so I can use every icon I have. Look, I don’t think ‘magic undead beard’ is the most improbable thing here.) His eyes are similarly dark. They may seem glazed or not quite focus on the face of whoever he's talking to; when he's trying to concentrate on small visual details, he squints. Someone make him wear glasses. His eyes will also reflect light, and on that note of vampir weirdness: bad colour, freaky tongue, snake teeth. He’s still a looker, though. Good on him. He grew that bone structure himself, y’know.

He is literally covered in burn scars, but they’re mostly hard to see in the low lights he keeps to. (Or: ‘I handwaved this because finding a PB'). In brighter light (especially natural, but also bright interior lighting) whorls of old discolouration become visible all over his skin. They’re especially easy to note just now because he tried to bite a dragon, like a fucking genius. Also, he’s got freckles. Canon. Currently in-game he’s also got what look like old stab scars on his abdomen and chest, which were inflicted a few days ago fighting the dragon, and a busted fang. He'll be good as new in a few days.

Physical Mannerisms; When moving, he does so briskly and with the bearing of someone very used to calmly taking up space. When still, he’s alarmingly still. He only breathes when he’s speaking or, occasionally, when so alarmed that his body starts automatically trying to get oxygen. (Gross!) Despite this lending an air of offness to his stillness (even if someone can’t place what’s wrong, there might be that sense of ‘waaaait a second’) he tends to position himself very casually and comfortably; knees spread, leaning back, shoulders relaxed. When he’s fighting or startled, however, his body moves in animalistic, slightly unsettling ways: his fingers hook by his sides and his gait takes on a prowling, hunched, predatory cast. Additionally, the bones of his jaw don’t quite work like a human’s; he can open his mouth a bit too wide.

Also, you know how you can tell how a cat’s feeling by what their tail is doing? Yeah? Well, keep an eye on the Brucolac’s gross tongue. He whips it out for three main reasons: to intimidate, as a nervous tic, or when he’s relaxed and happy. The first case is...pretty obvious when it’s happening, and intentional, but the other two are fairly unconscious movements on his part. If he’s anxious, he might have his hand around his mouth as well, and his tongue will move very quickly. If he’s chilling, it’ll just be...hangin’ out there. God I am so sorry.

Verbal Mannerisms; His voice is a deep and horrible death rattle, that’s well-established. He is eloquent and also takes a very genuine pleasure in swearing appallingly and being generally vulgar. He talks quietly because if he shouts he loses a lot of sound, and it’s fucking hard to understand what he’s yelling about; also because it’s creepier that way, and he’s into scare tactics. On that note, he also hisses his sibilants and sometimes just hisses, a not-quite vocal sound that sounds more reptilian than human. This general B-movie rasping and scraping is both sincere (his vocal cords are damaged, he’s talking through a mouthful of teeth and tongue, etc etc) and performative (he is absolutely prepared to pop up behind someone and hiss dreadful things into their ear).

I’ve been thinking about his accent, given that in my headcanon he doesn’t think of himself as having a singular mother tongue, having grown up speaking a garbled assortment of languages, and then having lived in all sorts of places and through enormous linguistic shifts. (It helps that a theme in his canon is how language can bind or liberate.) His accent, as a result, is probably weird, but what it sounds like to your character is really dependent on their frame of reference. Essentially, he won’t sound like a native speaker of anything, and you are welcome to make up your own horrific accent combos. Maybe something like Italian-meets-Liverpudlian via Texas. Maybe no one can hear anything beyond croaking. Christ, someone give the man a throat sweet.

Fashion; He’s a tidy, plain, practical dresser: his clothes fit him well and he moves easily in them. As a general rule he prefers grey, black and workmanlike browns with the occasional splash of bright green or red. Some staples are tough boots and a sturdy leather coat. (These, incidentally, have just been replaced, thanks dragon.) He has, at least once or twice in his ab-life, managed a Hairstyle, but it's a Sisyphean task. Generally it's just frizzing and curling everywhere or wrangled back into some kind of captivity. As of Redgate, he wears a plain red ribbon around his wrist. There’s also a leather thong about his neck, upon which is strung Alyosha’s ring; this is almost always hidden under his clothing. He has his lobes pierced (before he died, that’s how) but rarely wears anything in them anymore.

Etc;

the brucolac will never dress like this,but I'm not going to say he has never dressed like this.

I got nothin.
& a gift.

Minho
Height; 6'
Weight; ~175 lbs?
General Appearance; Someday, someone is going to count how many times someone talks about Minho's arms in the series. When first introduced, Minho is immediately described with a thick, heavily muscled Asian kid folded his arms as he studied Thomas, his tight shirtsleeves rolled up to show off his biceps. He's tanned, buff, and tall, showing obvious signs of work outdoors and a constantly active lifestyle (scrapes and bruises, calloused hands, and bandages are also big indicators). His hair is dark and short to keep it off his neck, but obviously styled in the eponymous "duckbutt" in the front. (God knows with what, considering it's the apocalypse.) His eyes are a dark brown, and sickle when he smiles enough, which can often times be difficult to manage but happens far, far more frequently than it does with Thomas.

Other than some moles (most noticeable on his right cheek, but scattered here and there across the rest of him in lesser numbers than Tommy), the most distinguishing marks that Minho has are some really nasty burn scars across his torso (front and back, across his chest/shoulder blades and up his throat/back of his neck); a lichtenberg figure that spans along one arm, his shoulder, and his back; and a tattoo on the back of his neck: PROPERTY OF WICKED. SUBJECT A7: THE LEADER.
Physical Mannerisms; Confident and strong, Minho's movements are relaxed but controlled, his shoulders back and head high. His mannerisms indicate a position of leadership that he's embraced and understand, between having a small group in the Glade and a bigger one outside of it (that was essentially forced on him by the tattoo and everyone around him). It hardly changes when he's running, because he moves like a piston, sure of his every movement like it's literal second nature for him.

When stationary, he has a habit of either crossing his arms or hooking his thumbs in his pockets/belt loops or his Runner's harness. He's casual about it and unless he's trying to look imposing by crossing his arms (because arms), he's pretty chill. Really, Minho is someone that's deliberate with his words until he starts being sarcastic, which you can pick up pretty quickly and catch in grins and smiles.
Verbal Mannerisms; This is in Minho's personality but I'm gonna put it here, too. Ki Hong Lee, his actor for the film series, described his character as thus: Minho's character is very efficient so he doesn't talk much. When he does talk, he means it and he gets straight to the point. He's a bit sarcastic at times.

This is 100% accurate. He's more of a talker than Thomas (and even Newt, a good amount of the time) by leaps and bounds, but like I said he's very deliberate with his words. Much like he moves, he speaks with confidence and intent, when he speaks up. He's also pretty blunt, because he has no time to beat around the bush, and doesn't hesitate to speak his mind the moment that something comes up. Whether he's serious or sarcastic depends entirely on who he's talking to, how he feels about them/the situation, and what's going on at large.

Much like other Gladers, he uses the slang liberally, and if it were our profanity he would be ranked alongside sailors for his mouth.
Fashion; Here we see the outfit that Minho is currently running around in, or at least something incredibly similar to it since he got his ass set on fire/struck by lightning, and really his clothes wouldn't change much if he was given a choice to pick out his wardrobe. (Sure, his current clothes are dirty and worn and probably have blood here and there, but he's used to it-- he lives in a post-apocalypse world, so.) Although throw in a lot of muscle shirts and anything that would show off his arms, because he's totally fine with it. He can clean up pretty well, and he does actually have a fashion sense. The thing here is that it's pretty casual versus anything formal.

So, you know. Donning Drabwurld clothes he wouldn't go for anything all too fancy. Just what wouldn't be uncomfortable when running.

elsa ❆ frozen

[personal profile] glacio 2014-08-26 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
Queen Elsa
Height;5'6
Weight; uh 120ish idek

General Appearance;
our girl Elsa here has a bad case of resting bitchface. no, just kidding. she doesn't really. okok. Elsa. she's veryvery slender and has snow-white hair and not-really-ice blue eyes. like glacier freeze gatorade blue, yeah. super pretty. she has very fair skin, and a light "dusting" of freckles over her nose and cheeks. she tends to wear her hair in a braid more often than not, but when it's down it's not exactly pin straight, but there's no natural wave to it. she wears eye shadow and lipstick, but that's about it. man i'm so bad at describing appearances.

Physical Mannerisms;
LIKE A QUEEEEEEN. No really, even after all her time spent here, she still carries herself in the prim and proper way she was raised to. back straight, shoulders back, chin up. hands folded in front of her, or resting at her sides. the only time she really breaks that is when she's getting sassy, sometimes her hands will move to her hips or she'll start gesturing, and even then she's usually quick to catch herself, straightening her arms again and just balling her hands up into fists. when she's using her powers! she's very, um, theatrical, in a way. big gestures and silly faces, like a conductor over her orchestra. she's also her happiest when she's using her powers, especially here, and it probably shows in the way she's a little more relaxed after she's been practicing for a while. after working with Korra and Mako for a few months now, she also uses a few bender moves when working her powers, too. iiii forget what they're called right now, but the movements are a little more practiced, and focused.
and when she's feeling REALLY confident, she tends to strut and swag like a boss.

Verbal Mannerisms;
Elsa is very articulate in a way that I am not, heh. it's a Queen thing, yeah. she likes speaking very matter-of-factly, and the only time that doesn't happen is when she's like- really emotionally distraught. or reallyreally giddy/excited. her normal speaking habits are very proper though, grammatically correct and direct and everything expected of a queen, right.
also sometimes she sings about stuff.
no jk she hasn't done that but now i kind of want her to.

Fashion;
she rocks her ice queen dress here, still! because it's way comfortable for her. but when she's training with Korra, and whenever she's using her powers out in battle, she does tend to ditch the ice dress and ice heels for something eerily similar to her water tribe outfit. but made out of ice like her dress, yeah yeah. maybe not as glittery, but yeah. that same "how is that actually made of ice?" fabric.

Etc;
here's the video/movie clip of a song called "let it go" that i'm sure none of you have ever heard before ever in any capacity so you're welcome for that :) please notice her sassy strut and theatrical power moves.

bolincredible: (look at these eyebrows would they lie)

[personal profile] bolincredible 2014-08-26 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Bolin
Height; 5’10 (or thereabouts, according to some recent Word of God sizing standards).
Weight; definitely over the 200lb mark! other than that i’m not gonna try to guess, i’m awful at this stuff.
General Appearance; Bolin’s build is very athletic and he’s got the muscle to prove it, especially in the arms. He runs on the stocky side, particularly compared to Mako the lean, mean, firebending machine, which is all in all the kind of build you’d expect from an earthbender, but it can be pretty easy to give him a glance and assume he’s more or less average with the clothes he tends to wear. In more form-fitting outfits (or more revealing ones), it becomes pretty apparent that he could, in fact, offer tickets to the gun show. He’s relatively unscarred, but his hands are kinda tough and calloused (mostly around the knuckles), because he’s always punching rocks and shit.

Bolin’s pretty pale, with obligatory green eyes because earthbender, and black hair (which you may have noticed from the images that he keeps studiously slicked back in a ducktail, complete with radical curlicue up front). His eyebrows are also hella thick, and his nose has an upturned buttony thing going on. Also, if his thoughts and emotions were any easier to read off of his facial expressiveness alone, they might literally form into a thought bubble over his head or something. Bolin is an open book prone to pretty exaggerated, kidlike expressions.

Physical Mannerisms; Bolin is incredibly physically expressive. Like, at all times. He talks with visible enthusiasm and a lot of movement, and a buttload of gesturing. He pretty much puts the “animated” in animated character. His gestures and his posture reflect whatever his current mood happens to be: if he’s unhappy, he’ll be slouching and moving less, if he’s his usual excitable self, he’ll be all energy and movement, when he’s getting serious or facing down a challenge, he’s straight-backed and kind of to-the-point, etc. Energetic is the name of the game when it comes to Bolin’s physical mannerisms! It’s kind of like having a really big, excitable labrador retriever that’s learned to use a human body. Oooor like having a plucky twelve-year-old companion in a seventeen-year-old’s body. Stuff’s ridiculous.

Bolin’s very light on his feet and does the token avatar-land flipping dealie when the situation calls for it. He usually moves with all the oblivious confidence of someone who never thinks about confidence or how he looks to other people. Bolin is almost always comfortable in his skin and it shows! For a big dumbo blundering type of guy, when it comes to earthbending and athleticism, he moves with a lot of agility and focus, with grace on a good day. If he’s feeling nervous or insecure about something, that also tends to show very readily. He’s also got a natural knack for pandering to crowds! He loves getting applause and positive attention from strangers, and he’s far from afraid to ham it up for them. Overall, his body language is casual and open at a default, and just sort of changes up depending on circumstances.

Verbal Mannerisms; Bolin’s voice is pretty average, I guess, or maybe leans towards the higher end of the spectrum? Something like that. Whatever that video says to you. And I bet you couldn’t see this coming: Bolin talks a lot, and he talks fast. He’s one hell of a rambler, especially when he’s excited! Ooor nervous. Or trying to avoid a confrontation. Or bored. He’s really vocal, okay. And while he’s not constantly yelling, he has the ability to really up the volume. Bolin’s voice is as expressive as the rest of him, and carries his emotions like a magical goddamn wind or something to the ears of anyone in the vicinity. Which is sometimes great, but usually annoys them.

When Bolin talks, you can probably tell he doesn’t really think beforehand. He’ll trip over his words sometimes or his mouth will jump way ahead of his brain— so there’s a regular supply of stumbling, the occasional stutter, a lot of starting and stopping and backtracking mid-word to reword the thing he’s saying. Bolin’s a walking wall of hot mess text tbh. There’s almost no brain to mouth filter or off switch on him, and he has many a time had to be forcibly stopped by Mako elbowing him.

Fashion; Bolin wears… what Mako or his rich benefactors buy him??? Okay, that is only technically true. His canon outfit (which he still bears today, though it may end up with some replacing post-Redgate?) is this getup, complete with the little spat shoes and stuff. Mako really has done the majority of his clothes shopping for him, honestly, so Bolin’s general fashion sense falls into the category of things that are affordable, easy to move in, and not too flashy/standout! With a little room to grow because Bolin likes to have space for Pabu and also to feel like his arms aren’t restricted.

Etc; uhhh here is a video with some neato earthbending??

Gregory House
Height; 6'3"
Weight; No idea
General Appearance; House is tall and lanky, with surprisingly good muscle tone for a guy whose idea of exercise is playing video games. He has blue eyes and brown hair. Well, some of it's still brown, the rest is gray...and thinning. And typically looks like it hasn't seen a comb. He has perma-scruff because Wilson told him he looked good that way. He has one large scar on his thigh, so not something casual acquaintances are likely to have seen. Unless he's walking around naked again which is never entirely out of the question. He also has a scar on his abdomen and a faint one on the side of his neck from being shot, though canon sort of forgot about those after a while.
Physical Mannerisms; He walks with a limp and can be a little slump-shouldered, probably because he never bothers to have a cane that's the right size for him. He also tends to slump when he's sitting. Basically he just has bad posture. He's almost always moving even when he's sitting still--he plays with toys, twirls his cane, juggles his balls (no, not those balls). His mind is always working and some of that leaks out into his physical demeanor. He has very expressive face which he uses to maximum effect.
Verbal Mannerisms; House is extremely articulate and educated but he often sounds like a teenager...because emotionally that's about where he's stuck. And because he thinks it's funny. He loves to use pop culture references and metaphors and absolutely loves playing with words. Occasionally, he bursts into song.
Fashion; Fashion? What's that? House has a style--rumpled, ill-fitting shirts and jackets over t-shirts, jeans or basic pants, and sneakers. It's a style but it's not fashion.
Etc; Some of House's greatest, and not so greatest moments.

Grell Sutcliffe

Height; 175 cm out of heels.
Weight; loudly shrugs

General Appearance; Pale, and more toned than anything else in her frame, with ridiculously long red hair and red glasses (nearsighted, like all reapers). Her teeth are serrated like a shark's, and her eyes are a marker of her being a reaper-a specific shade of yellow green with a second ring. Though she takes care to never let it be visible, stretching across her chest is a thick scar from where she was cut by a death scythe. Most injuries she heals from fast enough that there are no scars left behind.

Physical Mannerisms; While in general she keeps herself poised and confident, as an self-described actress, she's well aware of how body language can impact an entire conversation, and she changes depending on what's needed. A serious situation can have her absolutely upright and still--almost "at attention"--while something between friends can have her reclining and flinging her arms out to convey her dismay with a turn of events. She uses her hands every now and then to emphasize a point if her voice is not enough, and also to adjust her glasses when they slip down too much. When at rest, she prefers to be still, conserving her energy for a second. She's quite graceful, and a lot of her major actions--running, fighting, dancing, etc.--have more fluidity to them than a human produces.

Verbal Mannerisms; Grell likes adding a dramatic flair to her sentences, which means she stresses more words than normal to convey whatever emotion she wants to get across. She has a somewhat formal manner of speaking, given her time period, and sometimes her sentences sound more ripped from a bad romance novel than something a person actually says. Depending on how well she knows a person, she'll refer to them with some manner of title--Mr./Miss, Lord/Lady, etc.--or by name if they are close enough. Half politeness, half out of habit, though she mixes the formal titles with pet names on occasion either out of affection or to potentially piss someone off. She does not swear except when severely motivated to do so. To those that would recognise it, she has an English Received Pronunciation accent, and her voice is lower pitched.

Fashion; In canon she's used to more or less a uniform suit (even if she pushes the boundaries of dress code), and in the Drabwurld she's taken a much greater shine to dresses and the like (reds, neutrals, the very rare blue or violet) when she doesn't need to be entirely active. When she does, she falls back on a simple pants-blouse-gloves combo, though no matter where or what she's doing she wears some sort of boots, usually heeled, and when she leaves Caer Scima she is usually armed with a sword or knives.

However, she is always modest in what she chooses to wear, always in long sleeves and with her skirts touching the floor, never letting her neckline go more than an inch past her collarbone. She also pairs her glasses with a long chain that she nearly always wears.

Etc; She possesses the ability to change her appearance temporarily with effort. Behold, the power of disguise.

Nerdanel
Height; Approximately 6'3"
Weight; Probably between 170 and 180 lbs, mostly muscle

General Appearance; As far as Eldar go, Nerdanel has a very distinctive appearance. For one thing, she's big for an Elven woman. She's not quite as tall as Galadriel, the canon record-holder for height among Noldorin women, but Nerdanel is a very close second. But in addition to being tall, Nerdanel is an athletic outdoorswoman and downright beefy for one of her kind, sturdy, broad-shouldered and muscular from centuries of smithcraft. She's given birth six times, but you wouldn't guess it to look at her, unless she's in the company of her children. She's definitely a very solid presence, but she isn't the sort to loom over people and be physically intimidating. Most artists tend to depict her as being smaller and more slender than her husband Fëanor, but truthfully, she's more likely the larger of the two. She's unlikely to be mistaken for the wrong gender, though, as she has a decidedly female figure.

She is also distinguished by her flowing mane of coppery-red hair, a very unusual color for a Noldorin Elf, which she ties back while she's working, as she wears it very long, well past her waist. She also has a ruddy complexion prone to flushing if she gets emotional, with rosy cheeks and a smattering of freckles all over her body.

Her eyes are a bright grey, and by "bright," we mean literally bright. They shine and even appear to glow, especially in low-light settings. She's very old for an Elf, and was born in the bliss of Valinor by the lights of the Two Trees, and that light continues to live in her to a degree, so she has a silvery glow about her that is especially evident in her eyes and she always seems to have moonlight dancing about her feet.

Her attractiveness depends on who you ask, honestly. By human standards, she's a knock-out bombshell with fine, otherworldly features. Ask her husband or children, and they are sure to immediately inform you that she is beautiful, but, let's be real, they're biased. Truth is, she's not all that pretty by Elven standards. Not that she's ugly or anything, no, just rather plain-Jane for an Elf, her features strong but serene.

Physical Mannerisms; For a woman of her stature, Nerdanel is elegantly graceful and remarkably light on her feet, able to walk soundlessly and tracklessly if she chooses. In fact, it can be almost unsettling just how quiet she can be. She's not overly physical in her presence; her movements tend to be quite subtle. More than anything, she is watchful and observant, seeming to take in every tiny thing around her. Because that is what she does. Nothing seems to escape that piercing gaze, and sometimes, she has the uncanny sense of seeming to look through a person right down into the bared depths of their soul. But this is not to say that she is a shrinking violet. After all, she did, for a time, serve as the High Queen of the Noldor. Nerdanel knows how to command attention with grace and poise. She doesn't need to jump or shout, she simply radiates a calm, wise, compelling warmth. Many people can't help but have their attention drawn by her. Her presence is understanding, not dominating.

Speaking of drawing, Nerdanel does have a habit of absently sketching things if she has nothing else to do. It's not that she isn't paying attention, though. She is, in fact, paying very close attention, perfectly capturing every tiny, subtle detail.

Verbal Mannerisms; Nerdanel tends to be soft-spoken, but she exudes a benevolent authority. Her voice is warm and gentle, often soothing, exactly what one would expect a mother to sound like. If she's in a temper, though, it can become very sharp and harsh, ringing with a terrible power. Fortunately, this doesn't happen often, and all of her sons have learned to identify the exact tone that is their final warning.

Nerdanel speaks in the cadences of Old Valinor, so she sometimes has unusual turns of phrase or sounds more than a little old-fashioned. She was commonborn, but married into royalty, so the amount of polish on her words tends to wax and wane depending on her mood and the circumstances. She worked very closely with her husband on studying the languages of Valinor, and she tends to move fluidly between their various dialects. She does sometimes sound like she has a slight lisp dating back to the Shibboleth, but for the most part, she speaks very clearly, often at a measured, patient pace. She definitely has a filter, and almost always thinks before she speaks.

Fashion; On the whole, Nerdanel prefers to dress simply, comfortably and practically. Although her day-to-day outfits are often dresses of simple, flowing cut, she has no qualms about wearing men's clothing while she's working or even occasionally going topless if she's in a particularly warm environment. She does not have a highly-developed sense of personal modesty (and her lusts are strictly reserved for her husband) and overall gives zero fucks about dressing to fit a particular gender role. She has a keen eye for quality and detail, though, so her garments are always well made and frequently have embellishments on them. When she does dress up, her clothing tends to be exquisite and lavish, worthy of royalty. She often will wear simple jewelry, often that made for her by her loved ones, but the pieces are usually unobtrusive. She is most likely to wear ornaments in her hair, if anywhere, and sometimes will elaborately braid it just for fun.

Etc; Not really much, as she doesn't get all that many canon descriptors. She's a little bit atypically androgynous (since most Elves tend to be seen as feminine in appearance by other races), but generally one wouldn't mistake her for a man, just an unusually brawny woman.

Oh, and did we mention she's psychic? Because she totally is. She is gifted with Foresight, so she can see the future to an extent, but this more commonly manifests in her ability to seemingly read minds. She actually is looking right into a person's heart and soul, in a manner of speaking, and she has been known to verbally address things that her conversation partner doesn't actually utter. Attempting to deceive her or sneak up on her is nearly impossible because of this. Less commonly, she can project missives to those around her without speaking, or say one thing verbally and another psychically. If her emotions are running high, these abilities become more powerful, but she is usually very calm.

She doesn't sleep? No really, she very rarely actually sleeps. More commonly, she'll go into a trance-like reverie for a couple of hours if she needs rest, her eyes open, but her body typically motionless (though it is possible for her to enter the state while riding or walking).

I must be patient and relax, because I want this guy to flirt hard.

Lancelot'll be in the right state of mind for it soon, too, and it'll help because Nerdanel'll be at full eye level with him.
