[ He lifts a hand, fingertips lightly touching the point of her chin, tipping it to face him as he likewise leans forward. He kisses the corner of her mouth, chastely, not bold enough for anything else; but its slow and startlingly warm. ]
[ Startlingly warm, yes, but Ariadne doesn't pull away. She smiles, curve of her mouth brushing his mouth. Then she shifts to press her lips to his; she had, after all, said she'd kiss him. ]
[ In such proximity, she can feel the heat of the blush that has flooded his face and turned him scarlet, and he breaks away before she does, needing to suck in a shaky breath. Bright-eyed and breathless, as if this is his first kiss. ]
[ His pulse is a panicked gallop in his throat, which closed around his words. He dropped his gaze, instead offered a hand between them, palm up, obviously meant for hers. ]
[ A low chuckle and he lifts her hand to brush a kiss across her knuckles chastely ]
Well you are very lovely, and your fire is exactly the sort that he is drawn to. Mm, I will have to encourage him to seek you out more, I suppose. He does get... mm, shy, I suppose? But he is ashamed, too, right now - worried that you will hate him, after all that he's done. He always feels so deeply.
He shouldn't hide, [ Ariadne huffs, though she doesn't scowl -- she's too charmed by Maglor's kiss to her hand. ] You're both exceptionally stubborn, you know that, right?
He should not, but he does, often - even as a child he would often vanish when emotions ran too high, and we would find him in the stables or up a tree, with whomever - or whatever - he had newly befriended. As a young ellon he would vanish for days and weeks at a time into the wilds.
[ he twinkles at her ] It has been said that it is something of a family trait.

I don't believe it would work between us, Ariadne! I could never consent to love someone who outshone me in beauty so well.

See, I'd have said the same thing to you.
[ If she'd. thought of it. ]

And I'm not worthy of you, for that and many other reasons.
