Far away from the beach? I fear us poorly compatible then, for the ocean has always drawn me.

[ um ew they have water in the ocean maglor wtf is your problem ]

We all walk our own paths. I prefer mine upon dry land; rather less chance for sharks.

[ Water sounds pretty ]

Ah now, I suppose the thought of sharks might be offputting, but I would hardly think a mere stroll by the waves would be enough to draw them!

[ water kills everything you love and is acceptable only in its natural habitat of bathtubs and scotch gosh ]

Perhaps you aren’t setting keen enough bait.

[ a dull response, he doesn’t even bother twisting it into the insult it might be. it’s nothing living down below that bothers him. running water is its own sort of death. ]

[ well this is true but the waves sing Felix! ]

Perhaps! [ a soft sound like laughter before he sobers ]

Ah now... it might be better to ask what does not. I threw father's jewel into the waves, and perhaps it draws me back to them, even now. But for my kin water in all its forms has always had a draw. In water is still the echoes of the song of creation, and nowhere is it heard more clearly than in the breaking waves.
