Tinker Bell || Disney Fairies || Court TBD
[ Humans. Everywhere. Humans, and unfamiliar fairies, and a... what in the name of pixie dust is that guy over there, anyway? It's one big--BIG--whirl of sights and colors and smells and very, very large people. It's all a bit too much for this five inch tall fairy right now, thank you very much.
Caution has never been one of Tink's strong points (possibly, just possibly the reason why she's here in the first place), but there's curiosity and then there's the constant danger of being crushed, stepped on, swatted, or otherwise unwittingly mauled by persons many times larger than oneself.
A tiny, softly glowing fairy zips through the room, keeping as clear of the larger people in attendance as possible, and finally comes to rest on one of the feast tables as she ducks behind a large goblet, practically tumbling head over feet in her haste. Safely out of view (or so she believes) she heaves a huge sigh of relief, the minuscule puff of air ruffling her blond hair.
What has she gotten herself into this time?]
Or wildcard!
[I'm up for just about anything, just let me know!]
here, have an unseelie
His ears prick forward, head slightly tilting, as he regards the small fairy. He's never seen one before, not with his own eyes, but he's done enough reading in this place to make a guess at what she is. ]
This one suspects you are lost, little one.
no subject
She turns toward the voice and her eyes widen as she cranes her neck to get a better look at the speaker.
Cat? Cat! Enormous cat!
...talking cat.
Ooookay, that's new.
The surprise and alarm on her tiny face give way to confusion and, of course, curiosity.]
I... yes, I think I am lost, actually. I should probably...
[Alas, to non-fairies the words sound like the tinkling of a small bell.]
no subject
How curious... You speak with the voice of a nirnroot, little one.
[ Not exactly, but the sound is close enough in his ears. At any rate, though he can't understand her in exact words, the look on her face speaks plainly enough. ]
If you have come from Caer Glaem — and this one cannot imagine why — you would do best to return there as quickly as possible, before you are noticed. If, however, you are like Khajiit — Shardbearers, they call us — and this world is not your home... Well, Khajiit supposes the scamps would have to treat you with some courtesy then.
no subject
At the word "Shardbearers" she perks up, nodding vigorously and pointing to herself. She's certainly heard that word before, in the long strange tumble of events that brought her here. What it all means is something that she's still trying to sort out.
--wait, the locket!
Tink holds up a single finger, a just-one-second, and pulls the locket from around her neck. She holds it aloft, pointing from the locket itself to (Khajiit?) and back to herself. Maybe this might help?]
no subject
Hey, fairy. You're not like the other ones around here, huh? [She'll get trampled. And last he knew, fairies could be highly territorial. He needs to keep an eye on her.] Come sit on my shoulder.
no subject
Of course, Tink. There are dozens of fairies around here. He even said you're not like them, right?
Still, the suggestion that she sit on a stranger's shoulder leaves Tinker Bell cold, and more than a little confused. Do all fairies do that sort of thing here? Is it considered normal to ride around on the shoulders of people you barely know? Maybe that's why she's "not like" the others. How strange!
Tink smiles and shakes her head, holding her hands up in a conciliatory gesture.]
"That's okay, I'm sure I'll be fine down here. I appreciate the offer, though."
[He probably won't be able to understand her, just like neither Lizzie nor her father understand her, but she tries to exaggerate the smile and the gestures enough so that he'll get the idea regardless.]
no subject
If you change your mind, you can grab me. I'm not going to let someone squash you. I've seen a couple of guys who looked like they wouldn't hesitate to.
[He doesn't sound happy about it, either. And for once he did, actually, explain himself. Possible monsters get better treatment from him than humans.]
I'm... Emil, I guess.
no subject
At the "I guess" she cocks her head, confused. He guesses that's his name? The people here are so strange....]
I'm Tinker Bell. It's nice to meet you.
[She flutters closer still and offers a tiny hand to shake.]
Can you... understand me?
no subject
Yeah, I can. It's weird for you, right? Maybe more people can, too. It'd be better for you if they can so you don't have to hide.
