barry allen | the flash | undecided because i'm trash
[ He should be disturbed by all of this and admittedly part of him is completely disturbed by this. There are some things that happen in the world and while they include the potential to gain superspeed after being struck by lightning most of the time they don't include things like finding yourself in a completely different universe. To be fair, he's pretty sure he's in shock and once it wears off he'll freak out. Probably.
For now though he's kind of starving and there's food so freaking out takes a back seat to stuffing his face with way more food than anyone his size has any right to be stuffing their face with. It's in that course of stuffing his face that he's likely to go for the same food that someone else is going for because he can't pay attention to his surroundings sometimes. When he realizes that he's trying to take the food from someone else's hand, well he sort of yanks his own hand back. ]
I'm so sorry about that. There's just a lot of food and people. Things are getting mixed up really easily around here. [ A pause. ] You can take that, if you want. You definitely got there first.
002: The Station
[ As it turns out, he can run to the station and it's a fact that pleases him to no end. Maybe he's a bit spoiled but living in the 21st century makes him really want to have things from the 21st at hand.
Of course, Barry might have miscalculated how much energy he'd use running here and he's admittedly a little woozy. Not enough to make him pass out but until he actually finds some place to sit down, he's stumbling a bit. It probably doesn't help that he's trying to pat his pockets to find one of the bars from Cisco in his pants, but he can't really help it. After about the second person he stumbles into he starts apologizing. ]
Sorry about that, just a little— hypoglycemic. Didn't mean to run into you!
003: Locket | Voice and open to both courts
Hi. I completely understand if no one is willing to answer this question, but I'm honestly a bit curious.
[ There's a heavy sort of sigh on his head before he continues. ]
How many people here have powers at home? Or abilities. Something that maybe makes them not as human as most humans.
3
[ Really, she's counted a lot of non-humans. Especially in Unseelie. Maybe Seelie has just as many - Shijima's spoken to less of the other court than of her own, simply because of proximity. ]
no subject
Not exactly? I'm just used to there only being humans at home. Beyond the fairies and imps and other mythical creatures here I didn't— think about any not humans. [ He pauses. ] If someone who isn't human wants to answer, I'm not going to just ignore them if that's what you want to know.
no subject
[ Like herself, for example. ]
Humans with powers in my world...I suppose it's those of Nabari. The ninja. Samurai. Whatever they like to call themselves.

Plus the whole situation's a little new.

I'm from a small town north of Nagoya in Japan.
... I just meant whether the concept of people having "powers" was broadly accepted as real and not legendary, but from that answer it sounds like it's accepted as real where you come from. Are you from further in the future than 2012 or so?

[ such mild repetition. sansa folds her hands on her lap and leans in towards her locket. ] Do you speak of magic?
no subject
[ Barry now kind of realizes he should have clarified that specific bit. Oh well, what's done is done. ] Magic can count, since that's not something humans do outside of— Wiccans or whatever, but I was thinking more along the lines of controlling the weather, duplicating yourself, super speed. That sort of thing.

[ Well, um. That's a little more complicated -- ]
Lots of people in my world do. I'm a witch, and there are lots of us magical people around?
no subject
[ But then the clarification comes and most of the slight intrigue and slight happiness sort of deflates. ]
From your world or in general? [ A pause. ] And you're just talking about magic in this case. Nothing beyond what someone would call magic.
no subject
[ A pause, and she frowns. ]
My world comes with witches, wizards, werewolves, vampires, house elves, goblins... All with different kinds of power and magic.

... What do you call these abilities?
no subject
Powers? There's— not really a word for what they can do because— [ My team and maybe haven't come up with one. ] Well, there hasn't been enough of them visible for there to be need to give the powers a defined word. The people are called metahumans though.
[ If this was video, Barry would look like a human shaped question mark. ]
no subject
[ Curious. From what he can tell it sounds like mutation, but not the kind he is familiar with. Not enough visibility to name them and yet they exist -- it's enough for him. ]
In my world we are called Mutants.

[No, Jadis, you're not but keep telling yourself that lie.]
As such, I have always been gifted in the art of magic.

Having powers doesn't make you that much better than humans. Or other humans, if you're just a Daughter of Eve gifted in the art of magic.
3.
Yeah, I got 'em. I can fly and punch through buildings, all that shit.
[Super casual like. It's no big deal.]
...ru i literally cannot with this. this is going to be a trainwreck.
[ No offense Ellie but you don't sound like someone who could do that. ]
How would you even know you could punch through buildings unless you actually punched through one?

C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER ( the station )
[ all he knows is he is not a big fan of anything renaissance and if what he's heard about this station is true, it's exactly the kind of place eddie needs to be. castles and kingdoms and some kind of medieval war? it's all far too complicated and backwards and all eddie really wants is to not feel like he's being had. this all has to be some kind of joke, right? he might be impressed by the extreme attention to detail if the first thing on his mind weren't how the hell to get out of this place. the impossible might be possible, but this is taking it too far. central city needs him — joe needs him, iris needs him. (barry could, if he'd let eddie in more than just for their occasional sparring sessions.) he can't be stuck here playing make believe while he has a job to do back home. ]
[ the station is a miracle. it's far better than he could have ever imagined and it's honestly such a huge relief when he walks inside and is greeted by the smell of coffee and the sounds of technology and people — normal people — bustling about. it almost feels like the precinct, but he knows he won't be finding joe here — or probably anyone he knows, for that matter. there's still a lingering hope that he might find someone he knows, because at least then he wouldn't feel so crazy — ]
[ his shoulder connects with someone coming in from his left, but before he can say more than, ] Hey, easy— [ barry is apologizing and — no, there's no way. most of what barry says doesn't even register because eddie's too shocked to actually see him to pay attention to anything barry is saying. he can't help but stare at barry incredulously for a moment, brows furrowed. ] Allen? [ he doesn't let the shock phase him for too long, though, because as surprised as he is to see barry here, he's also immensely glad. his expression immediately brightens, maybe almost too bright, but any familiar face is a good one, and it's always been too easy to smile around barry allen. he almost moves to hug him, but thinks better of it and keeps his friendly affection to himself. ] Boy, am I glad to see you here. [ it's too easy to laugh around barry, too, but this whole situation is ridiculous, and if eddie laughs about it, he can at least pretend it's all just a joke. ] This place is really something. [ but what it really is eddie still hasn't determined yet. ]
03: combo repairer aaay.
[Kid!! Everyone's a kid to this three hundred year old man though. But at least his voice sounds deep enough through the locket, since his appearance is more kid like than most.]
three.
Is that a question coming from something you know or a hope from a story?
1 because all numbers deserve love
Well now you do. Also, Celaena's hand is grasping the hilt of her sword a little too tightly for a moment there, but she isn't going to ruin her night cleaning blood out of her blade without being paid before.
Or at least she hopes her patience holds all the way.
Either way, she's just going to unceremoniously drop whatever Barry tried to hand her back to the ground, scowl at him and turn around, all cloak and hood and blades and irritation. Is she overrating? Maybe, but that's Celaena's main flaw. Kinda. ]
how about 2 to stop the stampede of 3s?
He's not buying into this Seelie and Unseelie crap. Not when he's just gotten the hang of werewolves and kanimas and heaven knows what else. The disdainful once-over Jackson gives this new guy is purely to gauge where he might fall on the social ladder.
Like this is still high school. Like he's still got a vague grasp of the situation.
Minus ten points from Gryffindor, that shirt probably cost less than $50.]Chill out. Why are you in such a hurry? It's not like there's anything to do around here.
