[ I'm Elsa, sits on her tongue but she remembers herself before it comes out; ]

I'm Queen Elsa, of Arendelle.

[ she does smile, allows some warmth to slip into the stony, formal introduction. ]

It's nice to meet you.

[ and odd. she is unused to meting new people. She does frown a bit. ]

Do you - trust them? I did not know if it was safe to drink it.

Forgive me, Your Grace, but I don't think they have kidnapped me. They led me here, certainly, but I was quite myself when I decided to follow.

[ Disagreeing with a king makes her rather nervous, but she would much rather speak her mind. ]

You've heard many stories -- about fairies?

[ curiosity gets the better of her. she doesn't know much of fairies, of anything magical beyond her own magic and that -- well she fears it more than she admires it. this causes the caution she feels towards everything magic, truly. ]

[ her eyebrows raise, then. her gaze travels over him — and he looks the part, if she really thinks about it; ice-coloured hair, chilly eyes, and extremely pale. ] Seriously?

[ but she's never quite met a legendary figure before. it's all kind of bullshit — like superheroes; make-believe things that only exist in books. ] You're supposed to be Jack Frost?

That I know. I was told that one must have it at a specific time, or one is lost to death before long.

[ he sighs; it's not that he ignores her annoyance because she is right, at least partly. if he can offer his protection for this land he would do so. but to aid those of magic is --

well unheard of. magic has taken too much from Arthur and though he doesn't hate it, no, he is not his father; but he is wary and weary of it. ]

If I can aid this land against its troubles, I shall certainly attempt to, with all that I can; but my kingdom needs my protection, we are at war. As much as I wish I could offer to stay in these borders, I cannot quite do so when my own kingdom is in peril. I would sooner aid this land from Camelot than discard it.

[ A question he might've answered if the statement preceding it hadn't finally managed to upset him. He straightens up, bringing himself up high, although that matters little since the distance between doesn't allow for looming of any kind. The sudden movement brings his wings half open, as well, though still he does not charge forward in any way.

Luckily for Legolas, he prefers his temper not be ended with a body count, not unless there's no other choice.
]

The calamity of a dragon? I have never in any of my days unleashed such a thing upon any land! Am I to be as unwelcome here as back home? As hunted? Now I ask again, either shoot or be gone, archer! I am growing tired of being pointed at!

[ Schools to teach children and a whole society built on it. He remains just as invested and fascinated as Hermione, having never heard of such a thing (at least, not to any positive outcome when first Morgoth and then Sauron corrupted the world with their own brand). ]

With elves, it is different. Just as one man may be a faster runner, another could be a great weaver. I own an encompassing art whereby once the doors of my kingdom are shut then, if I will it, none can open them from within or without. A protective spell, one without words.

You speak of magic as though any might use it to different purposes, not only wizards.

You have. If I may ask, Princess, on what accounts did they have you join them and leave your kingdom?

You don't need a father to make up your mind for you. Think whatever you want, but the arrow is yours. I'll not keep it.

[ He peers at her weapon. ]

Do you make many of these? This is better than any of the bows my Lost Boys can build.

[There's a table heavy with a wonderful, plentiful feast. There are revelling fairies - faeriefolk, if he wants to be all-encompassing for the various creatures skipping around. He has a way too clear recollection of being bundled into a sack by goblins. It's all like something straight out of the books, accurate down to the spots on the mushrooms.

John really really wants a cigarette.]

At least it's new.

[Muttered bitterly to himself as he fishes a pack of nicotine gum out of his jacket pocket, shaking one out. He needs a minute to decide where to start here - and it won't be at the food.]

[ if percy were to ask alisha what she thought of the shard being inside of them all, she'd tell him it was bullshit. there's nothing inside any of them that makes them special. things outside of their control do that — lightning storms and other powerful and incredibly unstable people. shit happens because she didn't ask for it (and, jesus, doesn't she sound like curtis?). but with this shard comes free food — and alisha's going to focus on that for now. her friends are safe; simon will come find her; nothing bad is going to happen here because she won't be here long enough for anything shitty to happen. ]

[ with a plate in her hand, she pulls the seat out beside him. it's then that she looks up and sees him — and perhaps it's the polite thing to do, to ask this question: ] Er. Anyone sitting here?

[ Probably because you're so grumpy, Arthur. ]

Well, I was alone at the time and they led me through the great fireplace. It was empty, but I ... Do you know, I don't recall how I came to be here, I kept my eyes on them all the while. They said they needed my help.

Why don't you believe them, Your Grace? Fairies never lie.

[When he heard a voice directed his way, the Terminator turned his head, and only his head, to the side. He took in the man, scanning him for possible weapons. About time someone knew him for what he was. He'd already been given a wide berth by the fairies, the insipid creatures twittering to themselves about "the giant golem".]

Negative. My systems aren't sophisticated enough to repair themselves.

[His left arm twitches in a pathetic sort of way. There's chrome bits all hanging out from the end of his leather jacket. He reaches across his body, cradling the end with his right hand.]

[ alisha's in the seat beside elsa. she remains quiet with her elbow resting against the arm of her chair and her curled fist against the side of her temple. this place is giving her a headache — it's nothing like home, with its forests and woods and free, delicious foods. she can't quite figure out where up is — and the station, the one thing that resembles something like home, isn't helping, either. if this place had a community centre, she'd feel right at home. ]

[ from the corner of her eye, she watches as the woman beside her is offered a drink. and doesn't so much as decline with her words, but with the confusion on her face. ] It probably tastes like shit. [ she's british; she thinks anything that isn't a cup of tea — or a good alcoholic drink — tastes like shit. ] Coffee always does.

Oh... That's not quite how it works where I come from. As long as the potion is made correctly then the antidote can be given at any time. It's a little like Romeo and Juliet, I suppose.

[ Hermione's ire relaxes a little and she steps closer, trying to offer some kind of comfort. From the sound of it something awful happened that related to the Draught and there's nothing she can really do to offer to fix it, not here and not when it's probably already too late.

Merlin help her (oh, the irony-) ]

I can understand that but perhaps there's something that can be done. Maybe there's a way to send you home? Surely the people here must understand that you have a war to fight - I'm lucky, I was finished with my war before I arrived here.

Nice to meet you, Your Majesty. I do, yeah.

[ Jack heads over into the kitchen, opening the cupboards to find what he needs for a cup of tea. It won't turn cold if he doesn't touch anything for too long. When he rests his staff against a cupboard, the ice on it vanishes and the wood turns a natural brown. ]

You can watch me make you a drink, though, just to be sure it's okay.

Believing does not come so easily to me.

[ the feast might be there to welcome them, to sooth their concerns-- but if he was entirely willing, there would be no need for them. and hook is one to always question, to make his own way, set his own path. this place, this task, it's no different to him. ]

Something tells me I'm hardly the only one, either.

[ which leads to wonder why his new pointy-eared friend is so eager to do as he is told. ]

They should have simply summoned more like yourself.

But it wasn't a dream! [ she insisted as she looks up at him, pulling back. oh, she'd wished it harder than anyone could wish something that watching her father die (she had not quite seen it) had not happened.] Joffrey had your head, father. I saw it. [ she'd seen his headless body at least before yoren dragged her away, cut off her hair, and she became a boy.]

It wasn't a dream. [ there's a heartbreak and anger in her eyes that must proof that what she says, she knows to be true.] They called you a traitor, they said you were trying to take the crown from Joffrey. I knew they were lying but they killed you. And I couldn't stop it. I tried but I couldn't.

Alisha.

[ she narrows her eyes; it looks nothing like a glare, but as if she's just simply trying to match the name to the face. it's a little unbelievable — and isn't that a laugh? her finding something like this, like meeting jack frost, as unbelievable, when storms can grant powers and people can do such unspeakable and unreal things back home. ]

[ she shakes her head slightly, her lips turning up because, jesus, this is something simon would probably appreciate more than her. ] Never really met someone who wasn't meant to be real. [ is that offensive? she thinks it might be. ] The only unreal thing that exists back home is superheroes — and even that's a load of bullshit.

[There's no gasp or 'Oof' as Scott runs into the Terminator. Indeed, the cyborg is built like a brick wall and then some, despite the obvious damage and injuries he's sustained. He automatically reaches out and grabs the teen's arm in an iron grip to steady him. It won't do to knock someone to the ground in his first five minutes here.]

Careful. [He admonishes in a thick accent.]

That sounds simply amazing. I know of a lot of protection spells, but nothing quite so grand or all encompassing - at least, nothing I've actually seen put into practice without a group of people to lend their powers. [ There's a sudden burst of respect bubbling inside of her and she turns in her chair to look at him properly. Someone as powerful as that must be someone important, surely, and she's startlingly reminded of Albus Dumbledore.

Just in a little less of an irritated nostalgic way, she supposes. ]

In my world, or where I come from, there are those born with magic and those without. Some are stronger than others or have aptitude for certain aspects of magics rather than others, but in the magical society we're all supposedly equal. We can use magic to summon things, create lights, unlock, lock, brew potions - almost anything you can think of.

[ It's the keenness of the truth in her eyes that makes him listen, although he knows he's never lost his head to anyone, let alone Joffrey. Still very much attached to it, thankfully. She's shaken up though and it's all he can do to rub her arms and eye that raggedy hair-cut, concern lacing through as he nods decisively. ]

... Alright. Alright, I believe you.

[ Somehow, something about this land with all its rife magic has twisted their perception. He knows when Arya is lying and this is not one of those times, that's without having breathed a word of what he's uncovered regarding the validity of Joffrey's right to rule. Not yet. He was on his way to meet Cersei, in fact, when the little fairy creatures intercepted him on his path.

Ned reels his daughter back into his arms, his deep voice tinged with a rumble of protectiveness. ]

Hush, then. You're safe with me where no harm will come to you, my girl. Have you seen your sister about?
