Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

Current Location: The Station ( I ... think. :c )
Planned Travel: Literally everywhere he can possibly reach, including some ill-advised tiptoeing around Dorchadas later in the year.
General overview of recent events: Sam just arrived! So he's recovering from being a little overwhelmed by throwing himself head first into the learning more about the people behind the war.
Recent open threads/posts: NETWORK POST; on war and killing and general mental exercises.

Who are your character's known associates/friends/enemies?: Steve Rogers! Basically only Steve Rogers, with how new Sam is. He's working on it.
What notable events has my character been a part of?: He was running around all three locations of the Jabberwhelp's attack! Because Steve is a jerk and what is resting. So he could've been seen anywhere around that trail of destruction, trying to get people out of the thick of things.
What can other characters easily ICly learn about your character?: The feast would've had Sam running around dancing and cheering loudly and happily, so people could've seen him being overtly friendly and maybe a little bit comical about it. He's a soldier and a medic, both evidenced by the Jabberwhelp event, but he's kind and patient and very much in a therapist-mindset almost constantly, even when he's joking around with people. All this can be found in his post or general interactions!
What information is limited to specific CR?: Not much! He hasn't had time to build secrets. Lol.
What information is my character willing to share/can be readily discovered if another works to uncover it?: Sam is an open book! If you ask him an interesting question, he'll give you an interesting answer. Mostly about himself or his world, because he doesn't know much about this one yet.

• Travel as much as possible to learn the many faces of the war ( natives and PCs, Seelie, Unseelie, and neutral ).


• Learning some newer, possibly more effective methods of healing since traditional first aid won't do too much in a magic battle.


• Working towards the idea of possibly building a clinic or halfway house to shelter his wayward children and provide a safe space for those that need it. Therapist stuff.


• Staying close to Steve and Bucky while they enjoy a heathy cuddle coma.

Basically, his plans are wide open! He'll visit most of the major events but not all of them, and the majority of his time will be spent wandering around! So he can go anywhere and meet anyone at any point. This includes getting into / out of some trouble when he starts poking his nose into Unseelie territory after October!

So, if you're interested, Waver is assigned a location scouting quest last month. When it finishes, and if you'd like, he could happily let Sam know about one or two of the spot available if you're serious about the clinic! Waver's pretty fiercely team neutral, but he also heavily believes in undoing damage.

That would be spectacular! Sam is like 800% neutral leaning right off the bat, because both courts seem batshit crazy and he really just wants to help people overall. I haven't quite figured out how to get him on that path just yet, but it'd be pretty easy for him to just look around and go y'all need Jesus and start discussing options!

A hundred thousand yes-pleases! If she's staying out somewhere, he could totally make the time to come hang out every now and again, or they can travel together if you'd like! He'd also really love to help with her recovery from the battle if she's cool with it.

They should definitely at least work out and train together, and if I do manage to get Sam's wings before the timeskip, they can be fly buddies too. But all of these are perfect opportunities for Sam to big brother the Hell out of Johnny and try to help him mature just a little even while dicking around like children!

I'd like Wan and Sam to meet up/find a way to keep in contact during the time skip. I think they have great potential CR and I'd like to build on that.

Oh man, that would be awesome. Sam's got a huge amount of respect for him right off the bat and feels like he could learn a lot from him. Their plans are basically the same general "travel to learn more about the war and people", so they could travel together for a little while and trade notes after they go their separate ways!

Mr Sam, will you be spending any time in Caer Glaem? Diarmuid is going to be putting together a rather large training area and would love some advice on medical/clinical things/any other things Sam might like to give advice on. Plus...after losing his arm and not being able to keep more people alive at Caer Scima (even one death was not enough, lets face it), Diarmuid could really use someone to talk to...

Or, if that doesn't work we just need to work out something to get these two to meet...

OH MAN NO THAT WOULD BE PERFECT. I hadn't even thought of that, since I was only looking at the timeskip events; Sam would totally want to spend some time in Caer Glaem to make sure things are going well and people are getting back on their feet.

He'd be 100% down to help out with the training area and jfc bruh we need to sit down and chill for a second, Sam is here 4 u.

But Snow could get on board with learning more medic type stuff given her more neutral stance as well and her protective/maternal nature in general if Sam might be willing to help on that front

Charles would be really interested in that clinic, if you'd like to keep on keeping on at cr! And it's still in the planning stage, but he and Erik are working on a place for mutants/people with abilities which aren't magical (if Charles has his way and he will) so there's room for crossover there, too. Coming across kids whose trauma is affecting their abilities, etc.

I'me really enjoying how our thread is going! If Sam does end up doing more therapist stuff, I'd love for Billy to get cautiously involved in that.

OKAY SO Jekyll is like super into Sam right now, he thinks he's great, really respects him a lot (what do you mean he latches desperately onto the idea of goodness in others and lives vicariously through them???). He's going to be starting up a clinic/apothecary as well in April, in moderately neutral territory (by the Station) so he can help both sides, but especially natives, and getting people to run medicine/potions/supplies into Seelie territory. So since Sam has medical experience and is Seelie, he would definitely approach him about 1) doing some of the supply smuggling, 2) to tell/show his methods for making medicines/potions in case Sam wants to replicate it for his own purposes, 3) ask if Sam wants to help out at his clinic in any way because it's warded (by the actual devil, but details) so he'd be safe working there, etc., 4) offer up the clinic and laboratory for anything Sam needs whether immediately or in the future, make use of it as he will.

It's not a big dinner with friends, but I am thinking they should hang out at when of the festival-type events and stuff their faces together.

So! Pod was given the idea, by Hermione, to set up a(n eventually) neutral hospital to treat every creature, human, animal and otherwise, and she's running with it. She'd probably approach Sam for at least ideas, if not more!

That could be a good starting point for more CR :D

She'd also happily teach him herbal medicine! And if it turns out she can learn healing spells out of books, offer to teach him those too!

Nabooru thinks Sam is Alright and if she got wind of what he was up to re: a clinic etc she'd definitely help out, whether it's in building or message running or even leaving some gold for him!

Either way she'll probably bother him over the year.

They should quite obviously meet in their travels, whether it be at the station, or somewhere. Howard will be crazy interested in his wings okay. CRAZY INTERESTED. All he wants in life is to be able to fly :(
