a: Feast

[Okay, so considering her life thus far perhaps this whole new magic world isn't entirely too much a stretch. That doesn't stop her fretting all the same. She's curious in spite of herself, figuring perhaps someone she knows might be at this feast so it can't hurt to try check it out. Her smaller height is likely not really going to help her in keeping track if she were to find any familiar faces though.

Searching, she finds her way to the feast and tentatively helps herself to some food. She was a little hungry, after all. And there were a lot of others here, not all of which seemed as confused and overwhelmed as she was feeling. Sakura observes, catching snippets of conversation that start to help her glean more information on this strange place. She's fought before, of course. But this seems much more serious and different than capturing Clow Cards.

She's not exactly dressed too subtly either, given she has yet to change from her outfit Tomoyo-chan made her back home.]

b: Locket.

[It's Tomoyo that is more used to the latest technology. Sakura is of course used to phones, but these lockets are a bit different. So it takes her a bit to figure it out properly, opening with a close up of her wide, green eye before pulling back more, brushing some hair behind her ear.]

Ah, um...it's working now? Hello? I'm Sakura Kinomoto. I just got here. But I was just wondering if anyone has seen Kero-chan? He's....

[Wait. Give her a second. He has two forms so. Which one to ask for? Probably both to be on the safer side, but she's still so used to attempting to hide him and her magical powers. Where here it all seems pretty normal in comparison to back home, really.]

He's either a big lion with wings....Or a little stuffed toy. He's probably hungry and wanting sweets. If anyone finds him can they please let me know? I haven't found Syaoran-kun or Tomoyo-chan either. But-but I'm sure it'll all be okay! I'll figure something out. I'd just appreciate it if someone does find them, they tell me? And I can do the same for your friends too!

Arrival/feast (court undecided)
[Reines spends the first part of the evening rubbing elbows, as any self-respecting magi family head should. She even mostly manages to hide her crudeness. Mostly. But perhaps that has made her a target. Eventually a fairy pushes her wine glass (is she even old enough to drink? most likely doesn't look it. don't tell her what to do) just as she's taking a sip, so it not only hits her nose but spills all down the front of her dress. For a moment she gapes, shocked and apalled, but then it's all fury, as she catches sight of the creature hurrying away, and follows after it, shouting. The problem is, where something so small can weave between people easily, she can't, and ends up trampling toes and running right into someone.]

What do you think you're doing, move! [YOU'RE IN THE WAY, THIS IS IMPORTANT.]

The Barrel
[It's 2am. The door slams. Whether it was locked or not. Reines looks about, and makes her way to the kitchen in search of a servant, but of course finds none. She frowns, but she has the solution. Taking a bell from her coat, she rings it, and will keep ringing until someone answers her. And it had better be soon or so help her.

How did she find the place, no one knows, but here she is and has claimed it as her own. What's Waver's is hers and what's hers is hers.]

Feast

[Greg takes arriving in the fairy court completely in stride, as though it's one of the most normal things to happen to him. He nods and waves politely at everyone he sees. But the Feast is looking pretty good about now! He's piling his plate high with food, less because he's hungry and more because he's making a giant mountain, with room for a gravy volcano in the middle. Or whatever kind of gravy they're serving here!

Of course, he's pretty short, so reaching out for that jug that looks like it could have gravy in it isn't the easiest. He's hopping up and down trying to stretch his arms far enough across the table to reach it.]

Locket; Video

[Oh, so he's finally gotten this to work! Greg is peering into his locket. He's holding it away from his face in his palm pointing up, so you can see at the bottom of the picture an extreme close-up of the top half of a child's face, and then a lot of the teapot on top of his head.

Since he's so new, there are some important questions to get out of the way.]

[ A curious sight will greet anyone celebrating in the Seelie courts this evening.

A great lion roams about, apparently taking stock of the situation - inspecting as only such a large cat can. He considers the food with interest once or twice, but if he partakes, no one ever sees. There is air of intelligence about him, golden eyes almost unsettling with the weight of his stare.

Towards the latter part of the festivities, he'll wander outside for a look at the stars.

Say hello to him, if you wish. He'll likely enjoy the company. ]

A: Feast
[The Doctor's promised him a vacation. However, it seems that every time he does something winds up going wrong and they end up in the middle of some strange place full of monsters. Today happens to be no exception, but this time, it doesn't take him long at all to put his surroundings together with the stories he grew up with and even before the explanation he has a fair idea where they've wound up this time around. With his friends nowhere to be seen, by the time he gets to the feast he's in full-on-complaining mode, a kilted figure that's wandering about and muttering to himself as he tries to figure out his next step - and one that doesn't exactly notice right away when he winds up close enough to be overheard by someone else.]

Och, that's just great. Figures he'd miss and land us right in the middle of the fairies. You'd think he'd know how to fly that thing by - oh.

[It finally sinks in that he's not exactly alone here, and he breaks off, itching at his ear in an attempt to cover the slight look of chagrin that's appeared on his face.]

S-sorry, I'd not realized anyone else was there. Ah, hello, I suppose. Nice feast, isn't it?

B: The Station
[How this place came to wind up in the middle of the fairy realms Jamie has no idea, but it doesn't stop him from taking a look around before settling in with a bit of something to drink and turning towards the person next to him with a curious - but friendly - expression.]

So has this place been here long, do ye know? It seems a wee bit odd that's it's here with...well, everything else.

the feast
[ Normally, people are bothered by the fact they've been whisked away to another world. In some instances, maybe it's just another Sunday for them - but for Gansey, it's a new thing entirely. Cabeswater doesn't really constitute as another world, so much as it just existed parallel to the reality that so many were used to, himself included for a time. But he's not exactly kicking up a fuss about it, despite the interruption it lends to his mission.

He's positively fascinated, and seems almost giddy with being in the great halls, taking in all of the food and the people, the architecture, scrawling out quick sketches in his journal of everything that catches his eye. There are, of course, attempts made to actually eat the food, but he gets distracted by one thing or another for a while and ends up having to abandon whatever morsel that attracted him at first.

Should he run into any unfamiliar faces - which would be quite a few, considering - his question will be immediate:
] Excuse me, are you from here or a recent arrival, yourself?

the station
[ But, his delight can only last for so long. It doesn't take too long for him to switch gears, because Gansey is quick to learn what he needs to: his friends are here, but they are nowhere near him, and thus he has to get to them. Where they will wind up can be decided afterwards, but it doesn't take much asking around for him to learn that the best place to meet would be what's called the Station.

This place, unlike Caer Glaem, is something he's more used to. It doesn't stop him from writing notes, his observations on how technology doesn't function outside of this particular place. It's fairly easy to find him walking a little ways away from the Station to see just how far the range is, but he doesn't stray too far.

Still, it's also just as easy to see him poking around curiously, moving here and there, thick, leatherbound journal in hand.

[ It probably wasn't safe going off on his own, but it was all that he could figure to do with all of his companions missing. At least, it certainly seemed that way. Raine, Lloyd, Presea, even Zelos. He hadn't been able to find any of them yet. If Lloyd was here, he certainly wouldn't sit still so why would he?

At least that was his train of thought when he'd wandered off quite a bit ago. Now... he was just lost. You'd might be able to find him frustrated letting out a vexed sigh as he tries to figure out where he was. ]

[From the frying pan into the fire, as they put it. Utena was all too familiar with ending up in some situation she hadn't asked for, to fulfill a task she hadn't really signed up for.

The problem is, this particular task is keeping her from the one she's actually invested in. She'd been pulled away right at the end of a duel, and as such is still dressed in duelist finery, a white rose pinned to her uniform jacket. Perfect for a party...that is, if she wanted to be at this party in the first place, which she doesn't.

That said, she's adjusting surprisingly well for someone who just ended up in a completely unfamiliar place. Maybe she's just used to it.]

Himemiya? [It's the first thing she says aloud. If anyone knew what was going on, Anthy would.

If she could find her, that is. And surely she'd be here, right? Talk of saving the world and so on aside, this had to be some sort of weird...duel mechanic. That had to be it. Fancy clothes or not, she's muscling her way through the crowd like a bull in a china shop, moving to stop anyone who might be remotely helpful. Anyone who's nice enough to stop (or annoyed enough at being bumped into) will get a pink-haired girl flashing an elaborate ring at them and asking a question. Loudly.]

caer glaem.

[Really, she ought to have known better. At the first sign of a fairy flitting past her, she should have kept herself rooted to the ground, should have stepped forward, and not been deterred from the path she was set on. They had found the Ark of Yamato! They were so close to finishing what they've started! But with the fairy's praises of importance came a slew of memories from the Drabworld, faces she had grown to know and in knowing, love all the more.

Perhaps she was meant to do her part in that world too, before restoring her home. How could she proceed knowing there was possibly still those out there that needed her—physically, and not sky bound? And, so, not putting her mission on the side, but adding more to it, she had trotted after the tiny, gossamer-winged creature, and back into Caer Glaem.

Now, she's here, with bouncing determined steps carrying her down one of the many corridors. It must be that time again—she can catch aromas from the feast wafting in the air, and she follows the scents easily, knowing where there's food there's bound to be people and other creatures in need of assistance or a pair of good furry ears.

Food and people are both marvelous things. This is how she can be spotted: scouring along the edge of the feasting table, before pausing to lift on hind legs and reach for something delicious to eat. Snatching up legs of meat, or dipping her muzzle into bowls of stew and lapping messily, knocking over goblets to drink. And if not that, then she's approaching anyone who happens to look her way, smiling foolishly, wagging her tail in a mute, but joyous Hello! Be sure that she's on the look out for familiar faces, too. But strangers or old friends alike, don't be frightened about approaching her.]

the station.

[Sometime later sees her traveling to the Station. Before, she had spent much of her time there with others; and before she had vanished from this world, it had been in quite a state. So, she's gone to see for herself how things are coming along and to perhaps seek out those she may recognize.

Since she journeys without rest, whoever it is that'll happen upon her here, will find her lumbering in with tongue lolling and heaving her breaths. If no one notices, then she'll make herself noticed. Wolfishly, doggishly, panting next to them, or smelling at the floor near their shoes, not wagging her tail until she hears them speak or notices they've taken note of her. If they're someone she's spent time with before, expect a much more exuberant greeting: high-pitched barks and her forgetting her weariness to rush toward them, tail sailing behind her.]

wildcard!

[As wolves are wont to do, she never stays put for very long, and she has a tendency to explore. That and being able to move relatively quickly, it's easy to find her absolutely anywhere, so please go for it, if either of the options above don't work out!]

[ He doesn't know where he is. More importantly, he doesn't know where his children are.

He'd been in the middle of battle, due to BotFA spoilery reasons. The battle had gone on for quite some time, and it had been much too long since he'd seen his children. He'd been told that they were in the marketplace, and he'd hurried over when suddenly--

Suddenly he was not in the ruins of Dale, but someplace else entirely. He listens silently as he's told what's going on: There's a great war going on (which, no duh), and they need him to help them fight it. They tell him nothing about the battle he'd come from, nor if his children are safe.

He keeps a tight grip on his sword as he's lead into a room with a great crowd and a great feast. He doesn't know where he is, he doesn't care where he is, as long as his children are safe.
]

I'm looking for my children, [ he says as he stops the first person who crosses his path. ] Two girls and a boy -- Tilda, Sigrid and Bain. Please, can you help me?

02. - The Station
[ He'd been informed that The Station has just about everything. He doesn't know what this wifi is that people seem to be so excited about, but eventually he decides that the station is worth checking out. He doesn't know what all there might be is in this huge pile of everything, but they are (supposedly) at war. Every little bit helps.

What he doesn't expect to find is an abundance of coffee. Which is situated next to the piles of chocolate.

Such items were rare, in Lake Town. And whatever did arrive past city limits went to the Master first. As such, he can not even remember the last time he'd had coffee or chocolate.

And so, if you were to come into the Station Kitchen, you will find Bard, standing there, looking for all the world like he'd just found buried treasure, trying to figure out which to consume first -- coffee or chocolate?

FEAST OF FEASTS.

[Gilgamesh seems rather well-adjusted already for one who's been torn from one world and thrown into the next. The plane of Earth had bored him, and so he simply traded one kingdom in for another. And this kingdom looked full of promise and plunder worth adding to his hoard.

So he feasts, and he makes both his name and presence well-known at the table. Yours, too, if he catches sight of you, flush with drink and cackling with new found friends.

Of course, in part it's a ruse. He's cutting the kings and queens off their thrones the first chance he gets, for occupying his rightful place. But for now he dines as the honorable hero with not-so-honorable intentions hidden behind his toothy smile.

He also probably hit on you at least once throughout the whole affair. Maybe twice, if you were good-looking or else he forgot the first instance happened (or just didn't care). Feel to run into him, or just have him run into you as is his style.]

LOCKET.

[After many hours of enjoyment from a warm welcome, Gilgamesh has returned to usual form: propped up on the nearest piece cozy furniture he could find within the castle and appearing ready to pounce on the nearest opportunity that might quench his thirst. For excitement, for pleasure, for all the things in between... it's always difficult to tell with this particular Heroic Spirit.

But he speaks with an ego as reliable as ever, a haughtiness that wafts off his very breath.]

Though I find it pleasing that this realm greets me with appropriate splendor, I tire quickly of these rules we are obliged to follow. A king makes his own order, and therefore I see little need for the laws that bind these walls.

[His mouth splits into a grin slight, though unsettling all the same.]

What are the laws of your homeland? What king, or kings, do you follow? There exists only one worth serving, though hearing your stories may help to pass the time. I bid you, entertain me.

Victoria doesn't have to like the fairies that brought her here to appreciate the fact that she's not...elsewhere. Or nowhere, as the case may be. She's initially cautious about the food—she knows her legends, after all—but finally admits to herself that under the circumstances, the effects of fairy food are the very least of her problems. So she accepts a glass of wine and begins to make her way around the hall.

A solicitous fairy settles on her shoulder, buzzing in her ear.

"Shoo," she says sharply, flicking at it with her fingers. At the last minute she holds back and refrains from actually hitting it, mindful of her manners, and changes her tone. "I'm terribly sorry. I'm quite all right, thank you. No, I don't need anything."

( feast )
[they came to altaïr so quickly he could not have predicted their attack. no matter how much he fought, he was only able to attack when he arrived. the imps had no chances, no mercy; they were dead before they could open their strange little mouths. thoughtless, yes, but there is a reason for everything and he gave himself no time to think the second the imps released him. he has never seen creatures such as those and allowed his disorientation and alarm to take over.

being ushered to the feast only makes him more tense. he does not want to eat, he only wants more answers. the wine and food is plentiful and even though his stomach rumbles, he pushes his needs aside. food can wait, questions cannot. despite his attire, he blends in to the crowds easily, light on his feet and quick to maneuver around those who are clumsy. he needs to be calm, has been taught to be calm, but anger and confusion grasp at him as he stalks up to the first person he sets eyes on. his tone is biting:]

I demand answers. Where am I? What world is this?

[and how can he find the monarchs and have a nice chat without wanting to kill them at the same time?]

( outside(???) climbing )
[the second he finds himself outside he is scaling the castle of caer scima. there is no time to pause or dawdle; his movements are quiet and precise; he has done this many times before. he chose a fairly secluded area outside, but it wouldn't surprise him to find a few people below him. he's suspicious that there is very little security on the rooftop, and he finds himself pausing every so often to see how far he's come and what's around him. there are no familiar birds, but the species is ...somewhat familiar to what he's used to. the climb is the only thing that feels like home, like what he is supposed to do.

he reaches the top after a while (he settles to rest once or twice), and decides to rest there, overlooking the territory. if he is going to be here for a while, he will need to know it by heart.]

( ooc: or come up with your own adventure!! feel free to find him in the halls or tearing through the library looking for answers that he's ...not finding... BUT seriously i'm open to anything!)

Midna / 02 - Unseelie Court

[personal profile] envoyoftwilight 2015-01-05 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
I am a precious and special, Midna thought to herself with a somewhat skeptical expression. I knew that already. As if I needed imps to tell me as much.

Was this how the Hero of Light felt when she was busy coercing him into the Twilight Realm for her benefit? Possibly. Not that she'd ever asked and certainly not that she would have the opportunity to, provided that all she had been told was true. To Midna, it was an elaborate hoax. Despite the concrete evidence presented before her, it was surreal. In fact, if it had been a dream—which Midna wouldn't have considered impossible—then certainly it was an intricate one.

One worthy of a later retelling if she ever awoke from it.

Whatever the case may have been, any reason she was present, be it combat or simply for good looks, she was most certainly there. A loud gala, something the way she imagined Hyrule must have celebrated their various customs and traditions. It was lively and while she couldn't be considered the most social butterfly, she couldn't resist from creeping closer to various beings simply to listen in on conversation. As if she might possibly piece together more of the situation by doing so. Not that she was good at being inconspicuous with the exotic features. On the other hand, she might as well have fit right in.

But even as she was keeping her mouth busy with daintier food, she didn't feel anymore at ease. Per chance, just mayhap, there some truth to the whole concept of Seelie versus Unseelie with faeries and imps, after all.

Basch fon Ronsenburg | Final Fantasy XII | Seelie

A. Caer Glaem, stables

[Basch has had enough of the feast--he cares little for wine, nor the loose tongues that accompany it. He's heard enough of this place, spoken to enough of the people here, to know that there will be no easy way back to Ivalice. His lord is not here. What else is there to do, then?

For a start, he's come down to the stables to secure himself a mount. The attendant fairyfolk seem willing enough to lend him a steed... but when he reaches the stall that they've pointed out, he finds himself face to face with a large chestnut-colored horse. Do they not ride chocobos, here?

Anyone in the stables will see, at least for a moment or two, a tall, blond, scarred man in ornate full plate armor staring at a horse.

This is what we call "dithering."]

B. Just outside Caer Glaem

[Eschewing the Judicer's plate that seems a touch redundant, Basch has wandered outside the stronghold to the surrounding meadows, clad in a simple linen shirt and breeches. There's a sword belt around his waist, the only outward sign that he expects to encounter any sort of difficulty.

He cares little for this situation, but from what he's gathered that's nothing new or special in any way. Moreover, no amount of his own dislike will change anything. So for the first time in possibly years, Basch is going to go outside and smell the roses. Literally.

He's been a knight for the entirety of his adult life, and he's been a Judge Magister for the last year, living in his brother's shadow. For the first time in a year he can tell the people around him his true name. For the first time in longer still he can tell them his name and not be called "kingslayer" in return. There are things that must be done, aye, but there is also time to be himself for a change. Time to take a walk outside and enjoy the sunshine on his face.

Find him anywhere outside the castle strolling in the meadows.]

C. Choose your own adventure And remember kids, for those who know Gabranth, this guy is literally the same guy except for a scar across his brow. Have fun with that.
